REVIEW: CHAOS OF THE FAE is the fourth is instalment in Carly Fall’s contemporary, THE FORBIDDEN FAE paranormal suspense series focusing on half-Fae Avery Dubois, and wolf-shifter Gabe Turneaux who co-own and work together at Phantom Investigations, a small firm that investigates supernatural problems. CHAOS OF THE FAE should not be read as a stand alone as is picks up after the events of book three KISS OF THE FAE.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Gabe and Avery) CHAOS OF THE FAE continues to follows the building relationship between half-Fae Avery Dubois, and wolf-shifter Gabe Turneaux. The Fae and the Wolves are enemies, fated by DNA and a history of supernatural ugliness but a series of murders brings Gabe and Avery together to investigate Gabe’s Pack, an investigation that lands our heroine in the middle of a plot to destroy her life. Threatened on more than one occasion, Avery struggles between the growing love she has for Gabe Turneaux, and walking away to protect her heart and her life.

CHAOS OF THE FAE is a story of forbidden love; of secrets and lies; of betrayal and murder; of heart break and loss. Carly Fall pulls the reader into a world of the supernatural where no one is safe, everyone is suspect, and our heroine has become the target of more than one individual hoping to permanently remove her from Gabe Turneaux’s life. The premise is engaging and fast paced; the romance struggles in the face of betrayal and pain; the characters are colorful and energetic. CHAOS OF THE FAE ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
