ETERNAL SIN (Mark of the Vampire #6) by Laura Wright
ABOUT THE BOOK: November 5, 2013
Love and Vengeance…
The violent attack left Synjon destroyed and his lover dead—at the will of the evil vampire Cruen. Syn’s passionate savior was Petra. When she became pregnant with his child, it should have been a blessing—until Syn vanished after discovering the truth: Petra was the daughter of the man he despised above all others. The daughter of Cruen.
When Petra’s health begins to decline, she contacts Syn to help save their baby. Though reluctant to see Petra, he cannot turn his back on his own innocent child. But night after night, as his feelings for Petra are rekindled, Syn becomes increasingly torn.
Although everyone assumes that Cruen is dead, Syn is not convinced—and is still hell-bent on finding and destroying him once and for all. But will his thirst for vengeance keep him from seeing what is really worth living for before it is too late?
REVIEW: ETERNAL SIN is the sixth storyline in Laura Wright’s Mark of the Vampire series. This is Synjon and Petra’s storyline which began in the novella Eternal Beauty. Following the murder of Synjon’s first mate Juliet at the hands of Cruen, Petra would discover Synjon as he is about to take his own life. What ensued was a passionate affair that has left Petra pregnant with Synjon’s baby and Synjon is nowhere to be found.
Eternal Sin follows Petra as she is unable to feed or care for herself without the blood of the vampire male with whom she has mated. But Synjon’s emotions have been drained and on the surface he does not appear to care about anyone or anything-including Petra and his unborn child. So, as Petra returns to the Rain Forest awaiting the birth of her child, her friends and family will take it upon themselves to bring Synjon to feed the woman to whom he no longer feels any emotional tie.
The reader is pulled into a storyline about two people so wrong for one another but so right in the end. Petra has been abandoned and humiliated by the vampire that she has now chosen to live among her adopted family of shifters. And Synjon, without his emotions intact, wanders through the nights hoping to find something or someone that will stir up needs and feelings.
The relationship between Synjon and Petra begins as one of necessity but as the storyline progresses Petra’s presence in Synjon’s life jump-starts a whole new set of emotions that Synjon can no longer hide.
The storyline is also setting up a different storyline arc for the series as Petra’s family of animal shifters play a pivotal role in the storyline as part of the back story to Cruen’s vampire/animal experiments known as Mutores reveals much more in Eternal Sin than anyone knew.
Laura Wright brings together many of the series’ previous storyline characters including the Roman brothers, Dillon and Grey, as well as a number of Dillon’s mutore brothers.
Eternal Sin is a fascinating and wonderfully written storyline that has been building over that last few instalments including the possibility that with Cruen old habits never really die, they remain hidden where no one is looking. Laura Wright draws the reader into a story about two people whose lives crossed at one moment in time and whose lives are now forever changed. Synjon has a second chance at life and love and, Petra looks to the future with the man to whom she has fallen in love.
Eternal Sin is a necessary read in the Mark of the Vampire series and sets into motion the potential for several more storylines. Laura Wright has created a colorful world of sexy vampires, demons and shifters and brings them together in a series that is a must read.

ETERNAL SIN Snippet #8.
“Is that why you stand so close, veana? You want my blood—”
She jerked back then, and speared him with her gaze. “Not want, Mr. Wise. Need. Don’t ever mistake the difference. I don’t.”
He stared at her, his skin twitching with desire. He’d never seen a female so famished before. He couldn’t help himself. He leaned in and lapped at her upper lip with his tongue.
Again she jerked back. “What the hell was that?”
“You had a little of my blood on your lip.” His brow lifted. “I wanted it back.”
She brought her hand up and swiped at her mouth. “Don’t do that again. You don’t get to touch me.”
“Why? Because it excites you?”
“It disgusts me,” she said far too vehemently.
“I very much doubt that.”
“Do you?” Her eyes narrowed.
He couldn’t keep standing there, scenting her, his dick pulsing stone behind his zipper. He turned and headed into the dimly lit bedroom.
To his surprise, she followed him. “Why? Because the rich, sexy, emotionless Synjon Wise has only to lay a finger on a female and she’s panting and parting her thighs for him?”
He turned around, shrugged. “Well, it might require more than a finger.”
“I never claimed to be anything but, love.”
Mark of the Vampire, Book 1
FEAR IS IN THE BLOOD
Alexander Roman wants nothing to do with the controlling rulers of his vampire breed or the family he escaped from a hundred years ago. But as a new threat to the pureblood vampires emerges, Alexander’s ties to the past are forced upon him again, and without warning, he finds himself – disoriented, terrified, and near death – at the door of a stranger.
TRUST IS A RISK
Dr. Sarah Donohue is dedicated to removing the traumatic memories of her patients – like those of the stranger at her front door. But what he tells her of his past is too astonishing to be anything more than the delusion of a madman. Yet she has seen his flesh scarred by the sun and witnessed his inhuman strength. And never more has she felt so conneted to a man, by both fear and seductive excitement.
LOVE IS ETERNAL …
But as their worlds collide, Sarah and Alexander are bound by something even stronger, as one becomes hunter and the other prey. And Sarah’s only chance of survival is to surrender to the final – and most unimaginable – desire of her life.

Then comes a beautiful stranger with a startling secret.
Vampire Kate Everborne claims she’s sheltering Nicholas’ long-lost son. If this is true, then who is the mother? And how endangered are they if, indeed, Nicholas does possess the bloodline so coveted by the Order? These are questions that with every seductive whisper, every silken touch, draw Nicholas and Kate intimately closer and nearer still to the truth. But aroused too are Nicholas’ fears that this tantalizing woman has even more secrets—both dangerous and provocative—she has yet to share.
