REVIEW: SEX GOD is the second installment in Marie Force’s contemporary adult, stand alone, erotic, romance series. This is successful businessman and CPA Garrett McKinley, and florist Lauren Davies’ story line. SEX GOD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person points of view (Lauren and Garrett) SEX GOD follows the friends to lovers relationship between Marfa, Texas’s lone florist Lauren Davies, and businessman Garrett McKinley. Six years earlier, upon the death of his father, Garrett McKinley took over the family business and made it the successful firm it is today. Garrett never wanted to remain to Marfa, Texas but for the woman he has loved for most of his life. Enter Lauren Davies, his best friend, and the woman that calls to his heart-a heart that wants to leave Marfa, Texas for bigger and better ideas.

Garrett McKinley has a reputation as a ‘sex-god’; a one night stand kind of guy who is desperately attracted to his best friend Lauren. Months earlier following a less than stellar night of sex with Lauren, the two have struggled with their friendship and love. Garrett wants a do-over with no strings attached; Lauren wants something more from the man that she loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive.

The secondary and supporting characters include Blake Dempsey and Honey Carmichael (Sex Machine #1), as well as Matt and Julie first introduced in Blake and Honey’s story line; police chief Brock Hernandez, and Scarlett. I am hoping for a story between Brock and Scarlett. The requisite evil is a man from Lauren’s past that is determined to prove he is still in control.

The world building continues to look at the friendships, relationships and loves of a tight knit group of friends and family in Marfa, Texas.

SEX GOD is a sexy read; a provocative and sexy story about two friends who are fated by life and love; an intimate look at friendship, life and passion. The premise is delightful; the characters are colorful and energetic; the romance is spicy and captivating. SEX GOD is a lighthearted and sensual story by Marie Force.

SEX MACHINE

He’s good for one thing and one thing only—and she wants it bad.

Honey Carmichael has never had a decent orgasm, and she’s out to change that with the one man in town known for his superior skill between the sheets.

Blake Dempsey is happy to help Honey with her “problem” as long as she knows he’s only interested in sex. His heart was broken when his high school girlfriend was killed in the car he was driving, and he has nothing to offer other than more orgasms than Honey can handle.

Which is just fine with her—until fantastic orgasms aren’t enough anymore for either of them and unexpected feelings turn hot sex into messy entanglement—and that most definitely wasn’t in the plans.

But you know what they say about plans…

A sexy, dirty stand-alone romance intended for MATURE audiences. If you can’t take the heat in Blake’s bedroom, stay out or you might get burned. You’ve been warned!

••••••••••••••

REVIEW: SEX MACHINE by Marie Force is a sexy, stand alone, contemporary adult, erotic, romance story line focusing on construction company owner Blake Dempsey, and professional photographer Honey Carmichael.

Told from dual first person points of view (Honey and Blake) SEX MACHINE focuses on the friends to lovers relationship between life-long friends photographer Honey Carmichael, and construction worker Blake Dempsey. Years earlier, Blake lost his high school girlfriend Jordan in a fatal vehicle accident and in the ensuing time he has buried his guilt with one-night stands and too many women to remember. His reputation as a ‘sex machine’ is not without merit as he is a man with more to offer than most. Enter Honey Carmichael who makes Blake an offer he cannot refuse using six words that grab Blake’s attention immediately-Blake’s reputation as a ‘sex machine’ has our heroine wanting a piece of the action knowing that her heart will break when all is said and done.

Blake is broken; a damaged soul who has spent years wallowing in guilt for an accident that wasn’t his fault but to his friends and family our hero has struggled with the grief believing himself responsible. Throughout the story line the reader is pulled into the mind of a man determined to punish himself including pushing away the woman he has loved for most of his life believing he doesn’t deserve happiness when Jordan lays dead in the ground. The grief is overwhelming and the author ensures the reader feels the hero’s emotions and inability to let go of the past throughout most of the story.

Honey Carmichael is a woman who has ‘dated’ most of the men in town, but Blake is the man who calls to heart- a heart that knows Blake’s life was shattered years before. When Blake offers one-night only, Honey isn’t prepared for the overwhelming emotions that threaten to destroy a friendship she has cherished most of her life.

The relationship between Honey and Blake is a friends to lovers romance; a highly sexual relationship where Honey discovers that Blake likes a little kink in the bedroom and is willing to offer herself up to the man with whom she has fallen in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, seductive and graphic.

We are introduced to Honey’s best friend Lauren- the local florist shop owner, as well as Blake’s bud Garrett- a man who has more than a passing interest in Lauren; and Matt and Julie whose own family is about to expand. I am hoping Marie writes a story for Lauren and Garrett. The epilogue fast forwards the story line approximately one year wherein we get a glimpse into the future.

SEX MACHINE is an emotional and heartbreaking story about grief and understanding; about friendship and love where two passionate people struggle with the fall out of guilt and letting go of the past. The premise is intimate, hopeful and provocative yet predictable; the characters are vibrant and energetic; the romance is captivating and intense.

Excerpt

NOTE: Excerpt intended for readers 18+

Honey“I want you to fuck me.” I’m proud of the fact that I never blink as I stare into the baby blues of the man I just blatantly propositioned. In public, no less.Blake Dempsey chokes on a mouthful of beer, his eyes watering as beer meets lungs in an unholy alliance. For the first time since I walked into the dark, dank bar, my resolve begins to waver as I question the wisdom of this mission. But if I don’t take the bull by the horns, literally, I might never know why everyone else makes such a big freaking deal about sex. My best friend, Lauren, has assured me that Blake Dempsey is the answer to my most pressing problem. And she speaks from experience.Tentatively, I pat him on the back, hoping to get him breathing again so we can get back to our conversation, such as it is. Let’s face it—he’s no use to me dead.As he continues to hack beer out of his airway, people begin to take notice of us, which is the exact opposite of what I wanted. I’d planned to come into the dive bar where Blake has his end-of-the-day beer at exactly six thirty every night before heading home—alone—make my proposition and walk out of there with him.I hadn’t counted on him choking on his beer or having the eyes of every man in the place on me as I wait for him to recover and give me an answer. What if he says no? Men never say no to Honey Carmichael, which is part of my problem. I have a reputation for attracting them like bees to. . . well, honey. But I’ve never been tempted to keep one of them, thus my well-earned reputation as a love ’em and leave ’em kind of gal. It’s not my fault that I’m blessed with thick honey-blonde hair, brown eyes that made the boys start simpering over me in fifth grade and a rack that’s been getting me in trouble since high school. Not to mention the long legs that somehow manage to stay tanned year round and an ass that Tommy Lonergan once referred to as a work of art. So I’ve had my share of men. So what? The one thing I’ve never had is a decent orgasm with a man, which is why I’m still alone at almost thirty and happy that way. Most of the time.Blake finally quits sputtering long enough to look up at me with eyes still watery from coughing. “You wanna run that by me again?”“You heard me right the first time.” I resist the urge to fidget and hold his steady gaze. His steely blue eyes seem to look right through me, as if searching for the truth behind my blatant invitation. As he runs his fingers through a short crop of dirty blond hair, his entire torso ripples with muscles. My mouth waters at the thought of all those muscles wrapped around me. I lick my lips as my nipples stand up to take notice and my pussy clenches in anticipation. From what I’m told by a reliable source named Lauren, Blake has the biggest cock in town and knows how to use it. That thought causes the throbbing between my legs to intensify. When desperate times call for desperate measures, I believe in hiring the best man for the job. And these are most definitely desperate times.“What brought this on?” His sexy drawl and the relaxed way he occupies the bar stool belie the intensity of his stare. To look at him, filthy from a day of hard, physical labor, one might dismiss him as just another working man.One would be mistaken.Blake runs the most successful construction and renovation business in the area, and judging by his grimy appearance, he works as hard as the many men he employs. On him, the grime only makes him more appealing.“Did you finally run out of guys to fuck in this town? No one left but me?”I can’t deny that I’ve probably had too much sex, looking for the elusive something that has other women waxing poetic about the act. To me, it’s nothing special, two bodies coming together to expend some energy. Big deal. I’ve never understood what all the hoopla is about, a sentiment I recently shared with Lauren. After she finished laughing at me, Lauren had said, “If you want to know what the hoopla is about, you need to fuck Blake Dempsey.”Lauren ought to know. She’d been Blake’s fuck buddy for a short time years ago and had declared him an absolute machine in bed. Lauren assures me that doing the deed with Blake will result in nonstop orgasms and pleasure unlike anything I can possibly imagine. “One night with him,” Lauren had said, “and you won’t wonder anymore.”“You wouldn’t care?” I’d asked my friend.Lauren had shrugged. “It was just sex between us. That’s all he’s capable of. Everyone knows that. A girl would be a fool to fall for him, so I took what I could get, and when it was over, it was over. It was a long time ago. Have at him and The Cock.”Even though I’ve known Blake all my life and have never once considered him boyfriend material—mostly because my best friend dated him ages ago—I’m desperate enough to know what I’ve been missing out on to walk into a bar and utter a sentence that no doubt has my dear, sweet grandmother rolling in her grave.I can’t think about what Gran would have to say about me unashamedly propositioning a man. All I can think about since the conversation with Lauren a week ago are the words “machine” and “nonstop orgasms.” The best orgasms I’ve ever had are the ones I’ve given myself, thus my need for Blake and his legendary cock.“Are you gonna answer the question?” Blake drawls.I snap out of the fog to realize I’ve been staring at him while he waits for me to answer him. “What was the question again?”“Did you run out of other guys to fuck? Is it down to me?”I hold back a wince at his judgmental tone. I’m not proud of the number of men I’ve test driven, seeking the hoopla. “What do you care?”“I don’t.” It’s a well-known fact that Blake Dempsey doesn’t care much about anything other than his family, his business, the people who work for him and a few select friends. He shrugs as he drains the beer bottle and puts it on the bar next to a ten-dollar bill. “It’s your business, not mine.”When he stands to his full six-foot three-inch height and looks down at me, I nearly swallow my tongue. My nipples stretch against the confines of my bra and tank top, as if they’re reaching for him. I hold my breath waiting to see what he will do.He brings his head down close to my ear. “Follow me home.” His tone is gruff and sexy and authoritative.I shiver as my heated core weeps in anticipation. My eyes travel from broad shoulders to lean hips and below where the outline of that legendary cock has me licking my lips once again. Soft faded denim hugs him in all the right places, and it’s all I can do to refrain from reaching for the button and giving it a tug to get things started. My mouth waters as I pictured his big cock springing free of his clothes, ripe for my mouth, my pussy and anywhere else he chooses to put it.“Honey?”Once again I shake off the sexual stupor and force myself to meet his gaze. If thinking about sex with him gets me this hot, I can’t imagine what the actual deed might entail.“Are you coming?”Even though Lauren had assured me he wouldn’t say no, I’m still insecure enough to be surprised that he accepted my offer. Oh my God, I’m really going to have sex with Blake Dempsey. Resting a hand on his sculpted chest, I say, “Oh yeah, I’ll be coming, and so will you, big boy.” The cocky statement, exactly what he expects from me, covers the quaking going on inside.A throbbing pulse in his chiseled jaw is the only sign of emotion in his otherwise blank expression as he takes me by the hand and heads for the door.Mindless of the prying eyes of the other customers, I scramble to keep up with his long-legged stride.“Where’s your car?” he asks when we’re outside in the fading sunlight.Heat from the long summer day rolls off the blacktop in scorching waves, but I shiver from the almost predatory way he looks at me. “There.” I point to my tiny silver car with the decal on the side hawking my photo studio.“I’ll wait for you.” He drops my hand and stalks to his big black truck with his own company emblem on the side. His long strides eat up the pavement. I watch him go, fascinated, by the way his jeans hug his muscular ass. I can’t wait to see if his ass looks as good naked as it does in denim. Who am I kidding? It’ll look even better.I order my quivering legs to move. They finally get the message, and I rush to my car, managing to drop my keys in the dusty dirt parking lot. I bend to get them and am scorched by awareness. As I stand up, I venture a glance at his truck and find him watching me intently, his entire focus on my ass. The quaking begins anew as I get into the car and fumble some more with the keys before managing to get the car started. At this rate, I’ll need an insane asylum before I ever get what I want from Blake. His truck leaves a cloud of dust in its wake as he pulls out of the parking lot onto Highway 90, heading out of downtown Marfa, Texas. The sun is a ball of fire in the sky as I follow him at a safe distance. The last thing I need is to smash into his back end because I’m such a nervous fool. It’s not like I’ve never come on to a guy before. I have. Too many times, but this guy has always been so remote and off-limits that it took all my courage to walk into that bar and say the line that Lauren and I rehearsed until I got it just right. My hands are trembling and sweaty as I reach for my phone.“What’d he say?” Lauren asks when she picks up on the first ring.“I’m following him home.”“To his house?”“Yes.”“This is huge! He never takes women to his place.” Lauren lets out a shrill squeal. “I’m so jealous!”Instantly alarmed, I swerve before I right the car. “You said you didn’t care!” I can’t lose Lauren, the closest thing to family I have left. “I’ll call it off right now if you don’t want me to go with him.”“I’m not jealous about him. I’m jealous that you get to be with The Cock.”I swallow hard. “It can’t be that different from all the others.”Lauren’s dirty chuckle comes through the phone. “Oh, Honey. . . You have no idea what you’re in for. Tomorrow, when you’re walking bow-legged, remember I told you so.”A bead of sweat slides down my backbone. Propping the phone between my ear and shoulder, I turn the AC on high and follow the black truck as it hangs a left onto Antelope Hills Road. “You always did exaggerate, Lo.”Lauren snorts with laughter. “You’ll know soon enough that I’m not exaggerating. Call me in the morning. I want every, single detail. In fact, if you could take notes, that’d be great.”“Shut up.”“Honey. . .”The unusual seriousness in Lauren’s voice has me immediately on guard. “What?”“Ever since your Gran died, you’ve been looking for a place to call home again. It’s not going to be with him. No matter what happens, don’t forget that. Do you hear me?”“I hear you.”Blake’s story is well known around town. He blames himself for the car accident our senior year of high school that had claimed the life of his girlfriend, Jordan Pullman, who’d also been a friend of mine and Lauren’s. The loss of Jordan had rocked our entire class, but no one more so than Blake. Even after the police ruled that the accident was the fault of the other driver, Blake continued to blame himself. He’d kept his distance from people—especially women—ever since, throwing his considerable energy into his business. Occasionally, he took a lover, but he never kept her for long.My story is equally well known. Abandoned at the church when I was days old, Nora Carmichael, who’d never married, took me in and raised me as her own. Because Nora was in her early sixties when I came to live with her, I always called her “Gran.” She died ten years ago when I was only twenty, leaving me to fend for myself in an unforgiving world. I’ve done okay, all things considered, but it’s been a struggle.“Call me in the morning?” Lauren says.“I will.”“Remember: Only sex.”“I gotcha.”“Did you use the ‘I want you to fuck me’ line?” Lauren asks. We’d debated a number of ice-breaking lines and had settled on the most direct of the many choices.“Sure did.”“I need to try that one on Garrett.”Poor Lauren has been lusting for years after Garrett McKinley, accountant to Blake’s company and most of the other businesses in town. “What’s stopping you?”“Um, only the fact that he thinks I’m a brainless floozy.”“You’re neither brainless nor a floozy. Look at what a booming business you’ve made of the flower shop. How can he think you’re brainless?”“Maybe because I act that way any time he’s in the same zip code as me?”“I still say you should hire him to do your books. Then he’ll find out how full of brains you really are.”“Not happening. I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction.”I watch Blake pull into a driveway a block in front of me. The door on a two-car garage goes up and Blake pulls in. “I gotta go. We’re at his house.”“Just sex,” Lauren says one more time.“I heard you the first ten times. Bye, Lo.” Ending the call, I repeat Lauren’s refrain. “Just sex.” The last place in the world I’m going to find my home is in the arms of the most remote man I know. Determined to take this one night, and only this one night, with him and “The Cock”—a thought that makes me giggle nervously—I follow Blake’s hand signal to pull into the empty half of the two-car garage.By the time I make it out of my car and into the laundry room that adjoins the garage, he’s removed his work boots and stripped down to boxer briefs that hug his tight ass.I stare at the muscles on his back that taper down to that most excellent butt—and wonder if we’re going to get busy right here. I clear my throat to remind him I’m here.He seems in no particular rush as he tosses his clothes into a front-loading washer, adds detergent and starts the cycle. Then, as if I’m not there, he goes into the kitchen.I’m not sure if I’m supposed to follow him, but I do it anyway. He hands me a piece of paper. “Tell them to send my usual and get whatever you want.”I somehow manage to tear my gaze from the most lickable male chest and ripped abs I’ve ever seen to glance at the red and green print on the paper. I recognize the logo of Pizza Foundation. “They don’t deliver.”“They do for me. I pay extra.”“I’m not hungry.”He shoots me a meaningful look. “I worked all day, and if I’m going to be expected to work all night, too, I need fuel—and so do you.”A burst of heat creeps from my chest to my face as the implications of his statement settle on me. All night. Whoa.“Make the call. I’m going to grab a shower. There’re drinks in the fridge. Help yourself.”For a long moment after he leaves the room, I stand motionless in the middle of a nicer-than-expected kitchen. What the hell am I doing here? Did I really go to the bar Blake Dempsey frequents and ask him to fuck me? “You’ve lost what’s left of your mind.”I could cut my losses and leave while he’s in the shower. Sure, the few times a year that I run into Blake at the grocery store or post office or at the home of a mutual friend would be awkward from now on, but I can live with that if it means saving some face.My cell phone chimes with a new text message that jostles me out of my temporary paralysis. Digging into my purse, I pull out my phone. From Lauren: No matter what, don’t chicken out. You’ll be sorry forever if you do. Trust me on that!As always, Lauren’s timing is impeccable. Sucking in a deep breath and releasing it, I call in the pizza order and then take a beer from the fridge. If there’s ever been a time for liquid courage, this is surely it.Copyright 2016. HTJB, Inc. Review:

Ain’t She Sweet by Marie Force is the 6th book in her wonderful Green Mountain series.  Green Mountain is a fabulous family oriented series, where we get to spend time with all of the Abbot family members.  Marie Force does a wonderful job in each book of bringing together great couples, and giving us quality time to see our favorite couples from the previous books.  Ain’t She Sweet gives us a fabulous hero in Tyler Westcott. Charley Abbott, our heroine,  the girl who no one thought would ever allow herself to fall in love.

Tyler has been trying for a very long time to get Charley to go out with him, but Charley is not interested in the perfect Tyler and avoids him at every turn.  In preparation for marathon race, Tyler challenges Charley, who never backs down from a challenge.  In a very bad accident, Charley is hurt and Tyler finds help just in time to save her.   Tyler feels responsible, since he challenged her to go up the mountain where she fell.  Tyler has a house he built that is a perfect place for her to recuperate her badly damaged knee.  He makes arrangements with her family, a therapist and gets Charley to agree to stay at his house and let him help.  Tyler loves Charley, and will try to prove to her that he is worth giving a chance.

We learn why Charley is man shy from any kind of relationship, which stems from a former boyfriend who broke her heart.  Charley refuses to allow anyone to hurt her again.  What follows is fun filled story, where all the Abbotts will make many appearances helping with Charley, and even by themselves, so we get to see how some of the couples with previous stories are doing.  That was fun. Tyler was wonderful, caring, fun, loyal, and a perfect gentleman.  There were times I wanted to slap Charley, as she was stubborn, unbending, even when she slowly began to fall in love with Tyler.  This was a slow build romance that with the help of most of the Abbott girls, and Tyler’s sweet determined personality slowly opening Charley’s heart.  It did take some time, and I did roll my eyes a few times, as who can resist Tyler.

Marie Force has done it again, with a wonderful romance, a couple with some issues, and a super family that we want to continue to spend time with.  Ain’t She Sweet is another do not miss in the Green Mountain series.   If you enjoy romance, a great family, small town and wonderful couples, not to mention sweet fun sexy stories, then you need to read this series.

Description:
Ella Abbott has long been secretly in love with Gavin Guthrie. A few recent encounters have only added to her infatuation, especially the kiss they shared at her sister’s wedding. It doesn’t matter to Ella that Gavin is in a bad place. He says there’s no hope for a future with him, that he has nothing to offer her. But all Ella cares about is the love she feels.

It’s been seven long years since Gavin lost his brother. He’d kept himself under control and moving forward until his brother’s beloved dog died and his brother’s widow re-married. Since then, he’s been drinking, fighting, and even getting arrested. It seems the only time his demons leave him alone is when Ella is around.

Gavin knows it wouldn’t be fair to drag Ella into his darkness, but when she inserts herself into his life, what choice does he have but to allow her to soothe his aching heart?

Review:

It’s Only Love by Marie Force is the 5th book in her wonderful Green Mountain series. This is a fabulous family oriented series, and in each book we get to spend time with all the family members we have met before. It’s Only Love brings us the couple we have been waiting a long time for…Ella and Gavin.

Ella Abbot has always loved Gavin Guthrie, but after the tragic death of his brother years ago, Gavin did not allow himself to feel anything but cold heart grief.   One night, after Gavin got into a drunken brawl, Ella is called to come to the bar and take Gavin home. Why Ella? Gavin has broken her heart by not reciprocating the feelings she shows him. She has given up on Gavin Guthrie, and she was shocked to find her name was in his wallet, in case of an emergency.

Gavin at first is angry that Ella was called, but when she forces herself into his life to bring him home and take care of him; things are about to change. Gavin has always loved Ella, but thought he was totally unworthy. But Ella looks at him in adoration, and Gavin no longer can resist the woman who makes him feel normal.

What follows is a sweet, loving romance between two people who were meant to be together, but with so obstacles blocking the way. Ella and Gavin dive in with everything they have to open themselves to their love for each other. When they gave in to their lust, the sex scenes were totally beautiful, sensual and sizzling.

The Abbott family was full force in this book, as they worried that Gavin will break Ella’s heart again; since they were not sure he was mentally recovered from the tragic grief that strangled him. I loved the Abbot family, and Green Mountain, and enjoyed the parts where they tried to help Ella. It was great to see Hannah, Noah, Will, Cameron, and all the Abbots.

As much as they love each other, the obstacles will rear its ugly head, causing major doubts. Will Ella be able to handle Gavin’s down moments and trust that he won’t hurt her again? Can Gavin keep his promises that he will always stay by her?

It is a wild finish, with us worrying the entire way. Marie Force once again gives us a fabulous addition to her wonderful Green Mountain series.   The next book is either Charley or Max’s turn. Can’t wait. This series is a fun, sweet, romantic adventure with a fabulous family.

As the chief financial officer, Hunter Abbott manages the family’s various business interests while “fixing” things for the people he loves. But the one thing he can’t fix is his undeniable attraction to Megan Kane. Instead, Hunter is prepared to do whatever it takes to show Megan that he’s the man for her.

Megan’s sister rocks her with the news that she and her husband are moving overseas, leaving Megan truly alone. With her sister—and her job at the diner—going away, Megan finds herself leaning on the sexy, button-down accountant who isn’t afraid to lay it all on the line for her. But Megan has watched too many people she loves leave her. Can she risk her heart on Hunter?

Review:

And I Love Her by Marie Force is the 4th book in her wonderful contemporary romance series, Green Mountain. This story belongs to Hunter, the oldest Abbott son, and Megan Kane. We have known for a while that Hunter secretly cares about Megan from a distance. Everyone knows that Megan only had eyes for Hunter’s brother Will. But in the last book, Will met Cameron, who was his mate.   Megan accepted that Will is happy with someone one else, and we learn early on, that she mentally used her fantasy of Will to hide her emotional issues of becoming involved with anyone. This of course, opens the door for Hunter to make Megan realize that he is the brother who does care about her.

Hunter is such a sweetheart. He is the one in the family who watches over them, the financial genius and the big brother to all. When Megan learns that her sister and brother in law will be moving to France; the world as she knows it is changing. Hunter finds her hiding and crying. From that point, Hunter grabs hold of the opportunity to let Megan know she is not alone, and he has cared about her all these years. What follows is a beautiful love story between two people who are very different, but both needing each other. Hunter shows his love to a surprised Megan, who despite her fears to open her heart to love, will find it harder each passing day to resist the wonderful handsome sexy man who professes to love her.

Hunter is perfect for Megan, as he slowly melts her heart, while understanding how fragile she is. Having lost her parents years ago, Megan is afraid to love and be hurt again. This was a fun, and later on a very steamy sexy story. But best of all is spending time with the Abbot family that makes up Green Mountain, and they are such a great group of characters that we have come to love. I enjoyed seeing Hannah, and watching her closeness to her twin brother, Hunter. The cammaderie between them all is fun. Megan finds herself in the midst of this big family, whom openly accepts her, as to them she has made Hunter happy. But when an accident happens the fears bring everything crumbling down for Megan, which will also cause some uncomfortable situations with the family. Will she be able to get past her fears to stay with Hunter? Can Hunter convince Megan loving him is worth any risk?

And I Love Her was a wonderful sweet romance, with a great couple that will burn up the pages. It is also a story of a big close knit family that has their own private issues, which I am sure we will learn more about in the following books in this wonderful series.   Marie Force does such a fabulous job with each of her couples, winning us totally over. I love the Abbot Family and Green Mountain series. If you enjoy romance, sexy couple, family atmosphere, then this series is a must for you.

Description:

There’s a budding romance on Butler Mountain, but in the hornets’ nest known as the Abbott family, keeping a secret is no easy feat…

Colton Abbott and Lucy Mulvaney have a secret. Colton’s nosy siblings have begun to put the pieces together, but it’s not like Lucy to keep things from those closest to her—especially her best friend, Cameron, who recently moved to Vermont to live with her true love, Will. But Lucy isn’t about to tell Cam she’s having a fling…with Will’s brother.

Flitting between New York and Vermont is exhausting, so Lucy is looking forward to a long weekend with Colton at the Abbott family lake house in Burlington. Too bad Will and Cameron have the same idea, and once Colton and Lucy are caught red-handed (and red-faced), will their clandestine romance lose its appeal or will their secret beginnings be the start of something lasting?

Review:
I Saw Her Standing There by Marie Force is the 3rd book in her Green Mountain series. I love stories on family romances, as we follow the siblings. Green Mountain series continues this trend of fun romances.

The story starts with Colton Abbot anxious to spend private time with his weekend girlfriend, Lucy, whom is best friends with Cameron, our heroine in the first book. Colton and Lucy live 6 hours away from each other, and use the weekends as getaways. Colton arranges with his father on the guise of fishing by himself to use the family mountain cabin. Colton wants to ensure privacy, since he wants to culminate their relationship, and Lucy is not comfortable taking the next step.

This relationship, though a lot of fun and humorous at times, seems doomed from the start. The distance between them, with neither wanting to move is a major issue. The other is Lucy’s determination not to become serious, as she knows Colton will never leave Green Mountain, and his family, not to mention she has no plans to leave her own family. They have kept their fling a secret from his family and her friend Cameron.

A lot of the fun of this story is the family interaction to Colton’s secret woman, and the family patriarch’s scheming. Will and Cameron decide to get away for the weekend, and they are offered the keys to the cabin. The fun is when they come across Colton and Lucy.

This is a nice heartwarming romance. I enjoy the bantering with the family among each other, and how they open up to Lucy. Getting to spend time with Will & Cameron, and Hannah & Nolan was great. As I said, this was lots of fun. Early on though, I wasn’t really crazy about Lucy, since she seemed more distant and afraid to act on her feelings.

Though I did enjoy their relationship, I wasn’t totally convinced about them together. There were many sex scenes that dominated the entire story and their relationship. Though they professed to love each other, it left me with the question….was this truly love or just lust?

Overall, this was a fun story, and some great characters to enjoy. I do recommend this book.

Description:
For the Abbott siblings, the Green Mountain state has always been an idyllic place to call home. But it isn’t until they open themselves up to love that they’ll truly discover how fulfilling life can be…

Almost seven years after losing her husband in Iraq, Hannah Abbott Guthrie isn’t sure she’s ready—or able—to move on, but the attentions of a lifelong friend are making her think about it for the first time. The memory of the sweet kiss she shared with Nolan Roberts hasn’t strayed far from her thoughts, but she also fears that pursuing something with him would mean betraying her husband’s memory.

Nolan has loved Hannah for years, but he’d been giving her the space she needed to heal from her devastating loss. Now, when an opportunity arises to show her how he feels, Nolan can’t resist, but he knows earning her love will take more than a kiss. Somehow he has to prove to Hannah that finding love twice in a lifetime is possible—and well worth risking her heart.

Review:

I Want to Hold Your Hand by Marie Force, is the 2nd book in her Green Mountain series. I have not read the first book in this series, but it did not matter, as it read perfectly as a standalone. However, I loved this book, and I will be going back to the first book, not to mention continue to read this series.   I Want to Hold Your Hand is a beautiful heartwarming contemporary romance of two people bonded by their long friendship, and the love of someone lost forever.

Hannah Abbot Guthrie lost her husband Caleb 7 years ago in Iraq. Her family, friends, her dog Homer, and the entire town have watched over Hannah all these years. Nolan Roberts is our hero, and a longtime friend of Hannah and Caleb. Nolan has always cared about Hannah, and a few years after Caleb’s death, he began to realize how much he cared. Hannah always depended on Nolan, if she needed something fixed, but that is what friends are for, and Hannah has a lot of friends. Hannah finally agrees to have dinner with Nolan, but when he comes to pick her up, she is holding Homer, as he is slowly dying, with his heart giving out. All of Hannah’s big family arrives in time, before Homer dies, to share the grief, since Homer was a huge part of all of their lives, not to mention Caleb’s.

What follows is a story of being able to get past a tragedy that effected them all; for everyone to move on with their lives; for a young woman to be able to rise up to fall in love again, and for a young man to finally be able to express his love after years of being patient and understanding.

Hannah was a wonderful heroine, as she was strong, caring, and very loving. It was wonderful to watch her slowly realize that she needed to move on from Caleb’s death, opening her eyes to how patient Nolan has been, and how much he loved her. Marie Force wrote this so well, allowing us to watch through tears of happiness and sorrow, as this story played out. I do not want to give spoilers, only to say that this was a wonderful romance; at times very sad, at times humorous and so much fun, and at times very sexual and steamy. I Want to Hold Your Hand is not to be missed, as Marie Force has written a fabulous story that pulls all your emotions throughout.
