Enter interior designer and the woman with whom Dexter will fall in love-single mother/interior designer Shelly Wilde. As Dexter struggles to keep his attraction to Shelby at bay, our heroine battles between head and heart with issues of trust as it pertains to our story line hero. What ensues is the building relationship between Dex and Shelby, as our couple learn to navigate a life of instant attraction, instant family and the frenetic pace of two people learning to control their impulses.

The world building focuses trust and acceptance. Shelby has struggled as a single mother with virtually no help from her ex, a father who wants nothing to do with his only daughter. Trust doesn’t come easy, and Shelby’s first introduction to Dex left much to be desired. Dexter Shaw knows he has to change his image beginning with his bachelor lifestyle, and a home more conducive to family and love.

The relationship between Dex and Shelby begins a a business arrangement when Shelby is hired to redesign and decorate Dex’s mansion but from the outset Shelby struggles with Dex’s frenetic pace and over the top behavior. As Dex pursues Shelby for something more, Shelby must come to term with possible changes at home. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

The interesting and entertaining secondary and supporting characters including Dexter’s brother attorney Preston Shaw, their father Isaac Shaw; attorney Bishop Stone, attorney Eli Turner, veterinarian Grant Thorne, Dexter’s assistant Isis Jenkins, Shelby’s parents, and her daughter Alice aka Berry, and Bob.

HER BILLIONAIRE BARGAIN is a story of family and friendships, trust and acceptance, determination and love. The slow building premise is impassioned; the romance is seductive; the characters are quirky and fun.

Clint Hauser is a former romance cover model/turned veterinarian who is over worked, and stressed due to the inordinate amount of heart breaking work and volunteer hours but Clint needs a plus one for the upcoming holidays, and believes Kitty is the perfect foil to keep his family at bay. Believing ‘Kitty’ is soliciting for $ex on the kitten forum, Clint demands proof of our heroine’s ‘lies’. Finding himself pulled into the craziness that is Kitty Armor, Clint discovers his mind and his body relax in the company of our story line heroine.

The relationship between Clint and Kitty is one of immediate but curious attraction. Kitty has been alone for so long she is willing to invite a stranger into her life, and Clint needs a well deserved vacation, even if only for a few hours at a time. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and idiosyncratic secondary and supporting characters including Kitty’s father, and her agent Magnus; Clint’s sisters Emmaline , Felicia and Melodie, and his father Clintondale Hauser Jr.

DESPERATELY SEEKING KITTY is a wild romantic comedy focusing on real-life situations that aren’t supposed to be funny but the over the top, actions and idiosyncratic behaviors of our story line heroine bring out the crazy in everyone including family and friends. At times wild, comedic and frenetic but often overwhelming, the story line premise is entertaining and captivating; the romance is provocative and steamy; the characters are lively and spirited.

REVIEW:BODYGUARD BY NIGHT is the second instalment in Taryn Quinn’s contemporary, adult HAPPY ACRES erotic, romance series set in the author’s Crest Cove world, a spin off /companion to the author’s Found In Oblivion/Lost in Oblivion series. . This is thirty-six year old, security specialist /businessman Ransom Douglas, and twenty-six year old podcaster/ baker Willow Doyle’s story line. BODYGUARD BY NIGHT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storyline is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Ransom and Willow) BODYGUARD BY NIGHT follows Willow Doyle and Ransom Douglas in the weeks before Willow’s sister’s wedding. Willow Doyle is currently homeless having walked out on a toxic relationship with her former roommates. With no place to go, Willow heads home for her sister’s wedding where she will come face to face with her future, and the best man, Ransom Douglas but all is not well is Willow’s life, and everything is about to get a little more complicated. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Willow and Ransom, and the potential fall-out as a stalker sets his sights on our story line heroine.

Willow Doyle has a stalker, but more precisely several stalkers, but one in particular has made it their mission to get up close and personal. This is not the first time Willow’s life has spiralled out of control but with the help of Ransom Douglas, and his team of experts at Roth Security, Willow will have more protection than she could have ever imagined. Staying with Ransom forces the couple together, living with Ransom begins to blur the lines between friendship and love.

The relationship between Willow and Ransom is one of immediate attraction but our couple tends to butt heads at every opportunity. With someone threatening our story line heroine, Ransom becomes protector and bodyguard of the woman with whom he will fall in love. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several from the author’s Crescent Cove Series. We are reintroduced to Willow’s sister Rachel and her fiance Clay(Fiance by Christmas 1), Willow and Rachel’s Aunt Laverne, as well as Clay and Ransom’s former friend Reid, and Ransom’s sisters Marigold and Maple. Reid’s story is next.

BODYGUARD BY NIGHT is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; obsession and delusion. The premise is intriguing; the romance is seductive; the characters are charismatic and dynamic..but..the revelation, identity and take down of the stalker is anti-climactic; the conflict resolution a little disappointing.
