Description:
The last thing Brett Ross wants is to be back in the same old damn small town he grew up in, but his best friend is getting married, so there’s no way he’s skipping yet another visit back home. He knows what he’s getting into, coming back here, but the one thing he didn’t count on was the way Anna Hamilton made him feel the first time he sets eyes on her…and she’s all grown up.

Anna’s always been in love with Brett, even if she’s always been his best friend’s annoying little sister to him. But when he looks at her, she doesn’t see annoyance in his eyes anymore. If anything, she sees a silent calling for her to save him from himself…and she’s just the girl to do it. All she needs is to find a way to escape her pesky, protective older brothers.

And then the game is on.

Review:

The CEO’s Seduction by Diane Alberts is a little predictable, as we know where this is going, but the funny parts kept me reading. Four overprotective brothers, who love to lay down the law with their little sister, in fact it got downright smothering at one point…… to be told by her brothers to leave their sister alone on numerous occasions.  I think if I had been Brett, I would have just walked away. But he has known the family for years, and they look on him as family ….. but still not good enough to date their sister. But too be honest, no one is for their baby sister.

Anna had loved Brett for years, seen the geeky kid grow into a man. She’s seen his low moments, and has always been there for him in the past. It broke her heart when he moved to the city, she hears about his life and conquests from her brothers. And her brothers made it clear that he isn’t the man for her, he has no emotions and wouldn’t settle down.

Brett was never wanted by his aunt and uncle; he went to live with them after his parents died, and they made sure to tell him that he was always a burden, even now, they only want him for his money, never once giving him the praise and love a growing child needed.

But Anna sees something, and that is when Brett realizes that he does have something to offer Anna.  He has his battered heart, and he hopes she won’t break it like everyone else in his past did.

Once you get past the annoying brothers, it’s a good read. Let’s hope the brothers get women in their lives, and make their lives hell ?

  1. Thanks for the review Julie. Looks like a great story but I can completely understand your frustration because I just finished a book where the hero refused to cross the line because he was friends with the older brother…and it was frustrating..lol
