WANTED (Most Wanted #1) by J. Kenner

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 7, 2014

For fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You, and Release Me comes an all-new erotic series of three enigmatic and powerful men, and the striking women who can bring them to their knees.

He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.

Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.

My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.

And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Wanted is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

REVIEW: WANTED is the first instalment in J. Kenner’s erotic contemporary, adult Most Wanted Series. Each book prominently features a different leading couple but all three are storylines about three best friends-Evan Black, Cole August and Tyler Sharp. This is Evan and Angelina’s story told from Angelina’s point of view.

Like many introductory storylines, WANTED is a story that reveals much of the background information as to how Evan, Cole and Tyler met; how they survived; and the million dollar businesses they own and operate. WANTED is also a story that focuses on Evan and his need to escape the lifestyle that the three best friends have forged together-theirs is a world of borderline illegalities and underworld connections all wrapped in the façade of profitable companies and philanthropic associations.

Evan and Angelina first met years before when Angelina was spending the summer with her Uncle Jahn. Their attraction to one another was immediate but unbeknownst to Angelina Uncle Jahn issued the three young men a hands off policy regarding his niece. Fast forward several years and the attraction between ‘Angie’ and Evan has never faltered. With uncle Jahn’s sudden death, Angie will be pulled into a world she never knew but a world that is filled with desire, sex and the thrill of the game. Evan needs to do one final trade before he is able to move on with the rest of his life.

J. Kenner builds a world focusing on contemporary Chicago and all of the nightlife, social spots and high-end clientele. We are taken on an eye-witness tour of the sites and sounds of a city bustling with emotion and hidden secrets; art galleries and midnight buffets; entertainment clubs and beach front condos. We watch as a man willingly surrenders his heart to the woman that he has loved for a life time and in doing so he reveals the darker side that he has kept hidden for so very long.

The relationship between Evan and Angie is hot, sensual, volatile and forbidden. Angie will discover that the man she has loved from afar is more than she could ever have imagined but it is the more that pulls Angie deeper into the man’s heart and soul

J. Kenner has written an edgy storyline that will fascinate and keep you wondering. This is a story of mystery and suspense; heartbreak and revenge; friendship and love. But it is also a story about two people who have danced around each other for years and when they are finally given a chance-something or someone is waiting to destroy everything that they have become.

WANTED is a storyline with a HEA and there is no cliffhanger to keep you in suspense. I suspect we will see more of Evan and Angie in Heated-book 2-as their story is probably just beginning but a story that will continue through both Cole and Tyler’s storyline.
