ABOUT THE BOOK : Release Date September 29, 2025

Have you ever wanted someone so intensely it felt like fire under your skin?
Yeah. Me neither. Not until Gabriel Santos.

He walked into the wreckage of my life like he’d always belonged there—calm, controlled, and devastatingly beautiful.

I was a storm. He was stillness. And when I shattered right in front of him, he didn’t flinch.

He looked at me like I was a masterpiece. Like I already belonged to him.

That was all it took. One spark. One glance. One moment I couldn’t stop reliving.

I should’ve run. I should’ve left him behind. But I didn’t.

I couldn’t. Instead, I kidnapped the heir to the Santos cartel.

And now? Now, the real chaos begins.

REVIEW: GABRIEL is the fourth instalment in Eva Winners’ contemporary, adult LEGACY OF HEATHENS dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is Gabriel Santos and Amara Cullen’s story line. GABRIEL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from several first person perspectives including Gabriel and Amara, using present day and memories from the past, GABRIEL follows in the wake of the abduction of our story line hero. Gabriel Santos has been in love with Irish Mafia princess Amara Cullen since the first time he saw her but when Amara’s step-brother Jet offered Gabriel a deal, Gabriel refused all offers, and his life was about to spiral out of control. Abducted, and held hostage by Amara and Jet’s twin Elira, Gabriel found himself struggling with the possibility of Jet taking what doesn’t belong. Determined to protect the people he loves, including our story line heroine, Gabriel reveals his suspicions to Amara, breaking her heart in the process. Lies revealed threaten everyone involved, until a targeted assault leaves Gabriel fighting for his life.

The world building follows Gabriel, Amara and her step-sister Elira as they circumnavigate the globe as Elira and Amara follow a set of instruction set out by someone else. Gabriel is determined to claim Amara as his own but trust must be earned, and Amara is struggling to trust the people in her life.

The relationship between Amara and Gabriel began an enemies, two criminal underworld families fighting for control but Gabriel never stopped wanting the woman that called to his heart. Amara had been trained from a young age to protect and defend,, but who and what she is protecting will change in a heart beat. The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate

There is a large ensemble cast of powerful, colorful and often questionable secondary and supporting characters including the numerous interconnected crime families, siblings, aunts, uncles , mother and fathers, as well as Gabriel’s young sister Anya, and Amara’s step siblings Jet and Elira. The requisite evil has a familiar face.

GABRIEL is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The slow building premise is dark, dramatic, gritty and edgy; the romance is seductive and impassioned; the characters are determined, charismatic, and dynamic.

Bitter Burn (Lyonesse 3) by Sierra Simone-review tour

Bitter Burn (Lyonesse 3) by Sierra Simone-review tour

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Google Play / Indigo /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 30, 2025

I think it’s important that you know this about me, that you understand this: I’m not sorry.

I’d do it again.

After my husband died eight years ago, I made vengeance my only purpose, my religion, my destiny. But to get to my enemy, I had to make myself like him. He had a kingdom of secrets? Then I would make an empire. He had blood on his hands? Then I would bathe in it.

But Tristan and Isolde changed everything. I hadn’t counted on wanting them, needing them; I hadn’t counted on how it felt to watch the two of them fall in love. I’d thought I had everything under control—I’d thought I was safe from my own long-dead heart. I’d never imagined that the wronged husband, the jealous king from my childhood fairy tales, would be played by none other than me.

It no longer matters what I used to believe. My enemy is ready to finish the game, and for the first time in eight years, I have pieces on the board I can’t afford to lose. I’ll burn the entire world to keep Tristan and Isolde safe, I’ll scorch the earth—but as any good assassin will tell you, fire will only get a man so far, because there’s always something left in the ashes. And for the three of us, it’s the cold, bitter bones of the truth: their story begins and ends with me.

And every story needs a villain…

••••••

REVIEW: The final instalment in the Lyonesse series; Bitter Burn is finally here! The series MUST be read in chronological order, this is the conclusion to the series so those that have not read the first two books (Salt Kiss and Honey Kiss) will be very lost. Also, check your trigger warnings before reading, this is Sierra Simone we are talking about and a dark romance to boot.

There is so much to say with this book. It gave me such a burn out when I finished it, it was that good. Mark, Tristan and Isolde create a chaos together that readers can’t get enough. We jump right back into the thick of things. Mark is on a warpath to get back not only his wife, but his bodyguard too and nothing is going to get in his way. For loyal readers to the series, if you know, you know, even with the drama that has happened, Mark wants them back. He also wants his revenge for his husband, Tristan and Isolde complicate this.

Without spoiling the ending of the best series of the year, Bitter Burn is going to take readers through the wringer. With triple POV, a softer version to Mark than expected, Isolde living through emotional hell and Tristan being the most beautiful person a person can be, Ms. Sierra is making her characters WORK for their happy ending. There are aspects to Mark’s personality that are expanded on in the final book that draw his character closer to Tristan and Isolde, and I think that was such a great plot point to finish the series.

I’m so sad the series is over, but what an ending it was. I don’t know how anyone can create something so amazing, that touches so many people, but Ms. Sierra does it better than most.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 29, 2025

One moment captured on a jumbotron changed my life.
One glance at that screen and…I was Coldplayed.
My fiancé getting caught canoodling on national TV was not on my bingo card for my first season of coaching the NHL’s Oakland Eagles.
Neither was falling for a hockey player on my roster.
I’m not in the market for love, not after being humiliated, and I’m certainly not going to date one of my own players.
Only…the universe keeps pushing us together and every moment I spend with Hudson means my attraction to him grows…until I can’t seem to stay away.
And then I find out he’s playing the long game—
Because he has absolutely no intention of letting me go.

••••••

REVIEW: LUCKY LACES is the fourth instalment in Elise Faber’s contemporary, adult EAGLES HOCKEY erotic, hockey romance series, a part of her numerous interconnected hockey series. This is NHL Oakland Eagles’ head coach Diana ‘Dee Dee’ Connors, and hockey player Hudson Blackwood’s story line. LUCKY LACES can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Diana and Hudson) LUCKY LACES follows the building but potentially forbidden relationship between our story line couple. Diana Connors‘ first game as head coach of other Oakland Eagles is interrupted when her fiance is caught with another woman on the jumbotron, and in the ensuing nightmare, Diana finds herself trapped in her office with hockey player Hudson Blackwood, in the wake of an earthquake that has rocked Oakland California. An injured Hudson, and a profession of desire finds our couple struggling to keep their new relationship a secret, a relationship that has the potential to threaten the entire organization.

The world building focus on the growing love between Dee and Hudson, as Hudson is placed on injured reserve, while he recovers from the injury sustained in the earthquake. Dee battles between head and heart knowing their relationship may threaten her position with the team, in the wake of an already questionable start with her former fiance making headline news.

The relationship between Dee and Hudson begins as coach and player but quickly turns into something more. Trapped together for several hours, Dee is desperate to protect the man with whom she will fall in love but behind the scenes someone else is determined to destroy their careers. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story lines.

There is a large ensemble cast of energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including many of Hudson’s teammates, as well as team owner Jean-Michel Dubois, players Cam Jackson and West Stevenson, King, Rome and Rhodes: Dee’s ex fiance Jason, and her neighbor Ernie.

LUCKY LACES is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, friendships and love. The character driven, fast paced premise is edgy and intriguing; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are determined, charismatic and dynamic.

•••••

REVIEW: THE LOST STORY OF EVA FUENTES by Chanel Cleeton is an emotional, adult, historical fiction, women’s suspense story following three timelines and the search for a book titled A Time For Forgetting by Cuban born author Eva Fuentes.

Told from three omniscient third person perspectives (Margo, Pilar, Eva), following three timelines (2024, 1966-70, 1900) THE LOST STORY OF EVA FUENTES focuses on a book titled A Time For Forgetting. In 1900, teacher and wanna-be author Eva Fuentes was asked to participate in what was to be known as The Cuban Summer School, wherein 1300 Cuban teachers were invited to spend the summer learning about the American educational system and cultural values, at Harvard University. Having started to write a novel back home , everything changed upon arrival in America including the content and direction of the book she would write.

In 1966, Cuban librarian Pilar Castillo’s husband was imprisoned for political subversion, and in the interim Pilar found herself a target of the Cuban government in the wake of her husband’s arrest. Having been tasked with ‘hiding’ the only copy of A Time For Forgetting, Pilar took the initiative to hide many more books considered disinformation and propaganda only to discover her friends and co-workers had been conscripted by the Cuban government, and our heroine was no longer able to trust the people she knew.

In 2024, antiquities buyer, American Margo Reynolds, now living in England, has been contracted to locate the only known copy of A Time For Forgetting but the deeper Margo digs, death and destruction follow in her wake. With the help of her former husband Luke, an ex-detective specializing in art crime, our couple go in search of the truth including information that will connect all three timelines together, covering approximately 120 years, navigating between America, Cuba, England, Scotland and Spain.

THE LOST STORY OF EVA FUENTES is a fictionalized story surrounded by historical fact focusing on several lifetimes of betrayal and secrets, and books that have been banned, restricted or removed by the people in charge. The Spanish-American War, the Cuban War of Independence, Bay of Pigs, Fidel Castro’s propaganda regime, and The Cuban Summer School at Harvard were all real-The Cuban Summer School at Harvard program was designed to introduce Cuban teachers to the American way of teaching, introducing cross-cultural empathy and understanding. The premise is dramatic, detailed and edgy; the characters are determined, dynamic and charismatic, and desperate enough to risk their lives for freedom, family and a new way of life.

Kenna has the power to shape Mistei’s future… but someone’s willing to kill to make sure she never gets the chance.

Review:

Princess of Blood by Sarah Hawley is the second book in her The Shards of Magic fantasy.  Kenna Heron has now newly turned fae, as she merges as the head of new house, as she is the Princess of the Blood House.  Kenna is armed with Caedo, a talking dagger, with a thirst for blood; as well as her two friends, Lara and Anya. Kenna knows she needs to get more people to come to live at the Blood House, with her trying to rebuild, manage it, step into the role of the a a royal court leader; as well as she will cast the vote for the for the new realm. Kenna also brings two of her human best friends to help her rebuild.

Kenna struggles to embrace her new identity as the princess of her own house. Her courage makes her impossible to ignore the other houses, with so much betrayal and deception: the inner houses play each other in royal court, with politics & threats. What makes Kenna good, is that she wants to help people, she is generous, kind and trying to change things in fae society. Kenna was caught between voting for Hector (Kallen’s brother) and Drustan, as well as many others who wanted to change everything.

I really liked Kenna and Kallen’s friendship that continued to grow.  Kallen was determined to teach Kenna how to fight their sparring matches, learn dancing, and together they did a lot of spying.  Kallen wanted to protect her, as he knew he was devoted to her; though he was buried with anxieties and traumas of his life.  Soon their slow burn romance grew.  It was also nice to see Kenna and Lara’s friendship blossom.

Princess of Blood was intriguing, tense, torture, violence, sexual abuse and self-harm.  The romance that was developing between Kenna and Kallen was filled with passion.  I have to say that this epic ending was wild, and dangerous throughout.  Princess of Blood was so very well written by Sarah Hawley; which was part of The Shards of Magic fantasy.   I can’t wait for the next book, which will have me desperate to wait to see what happens next.

In a whirlwind summer beyond her imagination, Jules begins to unravel the mysteries baked into her family’s history and discovers the essential ingredients to create the future of her dreams.

Review:

The Secret of Orange Bloosom Cake by Rachel Linden is a sweet standalone story. Juliana Costa is a fan of wonderful popular food, which she shows on social media, called The Bygone Kitchen.  She works at Trader Joe’s to help pay the rent, and her partner in these videos, is Drew. Juliana’s cooking abilities help save the day for several people who enjoy the videos. When Drew receives a chance to work with someone else in LA; Jules decides to create her new Cookbook.

When Juliana’s mother makes plans to travel, she must take her 15year old niece, Alex to Italy, returning to her beloved family after many years.  Jules has not been back to the family farm since a tragedy 15 years earlier. Shel loves her wonderful aunt, beloved Nonna Bruna, who has a lovable olive grove farm in the shores of Lake Garda.  Jules is hoping to get Noona to share her personal family recipes, to add to her cookbook. Her half-sister, Alex, would only eat vegan/vegetarian diet.  But Alex love taking pictures, and in time when Nonna and Jules created wonderful food.  Alex was always there to load the pictures on videos, which became very successful with thousands of people looking.

The story makes matters worse, when Jule’s overhears Nonna discussing that they are in deep in financial trouble. They had planned for Jules’s to stay and help increase the farm.  Jules uncovers an old cookbook filled with secrets, as well as the recipe for the Orange Blossom Cake, that could be the key. The legend of the magical orange blossom cake and a family cookbook itself, was passed down through generations

The romance between her and Nicolo, who was the boy next door, with her leaving 15 years old. As they rekindle their friendship, she sees how attractive he is, and determined to help her find the family cookbook.  This does turn into a whirlwind love story, as they are now grown up.  Will Jules leave when the summer is over, or will she stay and help Noona, and her feelings for Nicola.

The Secret of Orange Blossom Cake was a sweet, wonderful, romance that was filled with love and family. I got a kick out of all the Italian food they created with each session, such as lemons, olive oil, pasta and the Orange Bloosom Cake, with all the secrets. The epilogue was great when Jule’s found herself falling in love with Nicolo, and both she and Alex would remain. The Secret of Orange Blossom Cake was very well written by Rachel Linden.
