I never wanted a woman by my side, until I saw her.
Boulder
Ol’ ladies were just something that weighed you down if you asked me. I found no reason to have one since everyone else was getting shacked up. I thought being tied down meant your freedom was stripped from you, and as a prospect I had little freedom to begin with.
It’s funny how things can change in the blink of an eye. I saw her, a woman I remember from Montana. She worked at Tart, the little cafe the club owned in Billings. I assumed she was down for vacation, but that wasn’t the case. Somehow, an intended one-night stand turned into more when I discovered she was moving to Chihuahua and working with Astra full time at the cat cafe.
I told myself to stay away, that being weighed down would be no good, especially while dealing with the newest fool who thought they could tear us down.
Yet, I wanted her. I craved her more than a wolf craved a bloody meal, and I’d rip anyone to shreds who even attempted to harm her.

REVIEW:BOULDER’S WEIGHT is the second instalment in Elizabeth Knox’ contemporary, adult REAPER’S REJECTS MC: SECOND GENERATION: MEXICO dark, erotic, MC romance, series, a second generation set in the author’s multi- Reaper’s Rejects MC worlds. This is prospect Boulder aka Barron, and Kelsey aka Cady Warren’s story line. BOULDER’S WEIGHT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading PYTHON Reaper’s Rejects MC 20 for backstory and cohesion.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers including graphic violence.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Kelsey and Boulder) BOULDER’S WEIGHT follows in the wake of a one-night stand between our story line couple. Boulder is a prospect with the Reaper’s Rejects MC in Chihuahua Mexico but a stop in Montana at a club owned café has Boulder focusing on a battered young woman, a woman with whom he will spend one night but a woman he would never forget. Fast forward several months, Boulder finds himself facing his one night stand at a café in Mexico, the woman with whom he will fall in love. Kelsey Warren is on the run; in hiding from the dangers and darkness she left behind but the past refuses to give up, and the trouble comes to the Reaper’s Rejects front door.
The world building focuses on the protection of Kelsey Warren, and the secrets she reveals to the Reaper’s Rejects MC. While the club is still dealing with another woman set on revenge, a street punk is taking aim at the Reaper’s Rejects territory.
The relationship between Boulder and Kelsey is one of second chances, of a sort. Kelsey is struggling with the demons from her past, demons that refuse to stop until our heroine pays the price for betrayal. Boulder doesn’t do relationships; isn’t one to settle down but a declaration of protection, has Boulder claiming Kelsey as his own. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and determined secondary and supporting characters including the return of the member of the Reaper’s Rejects MC: Mexico: Python and Astra, Razor and Oakleigh, Amara and Dante. We are introduced to Kelsey’s brothers Benji, Craig and Sam Warlow.
BOULDER’S WEIGHT is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, madness and obsession, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dark, dramatic and edgy; the romance is limited but fated; the characters are desperate and dynamic.
