The longer they stayed, the more Bama found himself feeling a sense of fullness he didn’t know he was missing, and the need for vengeance on their behalf.

REVIEW: Defended by Bama is the first instalment in April D Berry’s contemporary, adult RBMC: Mobile erotic, MC romance series, a part of the multi-authored RBMC. This is twenty-seven year old RBMC enforcer Brandon aka Bama, and single mother Brooklyn aka Linny’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bama and Brooklyn) DEFENDED BY BAMA focuses on the rescue and protection of our story line heroine. Single mother Brooklyn needs help. A victim of her boyfriend’s temper and abuse, our heroine and her four year old daughter Sadie, with the help of a ‘friend’, find themselves under the protection of the RBMC in Mobile Alabama, but more so the house guests of club enforcer Bama. As Brooklyn and Sadie establish a new routine both in and out of the RBMC, a trip to a bike rally tips the scales, placing a target on our heroine’s back.

The world building follows Brooklyn and Sadie as they settle into their new lives and new identities, in an effort to stay under the radar and the man who fathered Brooklyn’s daughter but her ex Marshall is a police office with friends in all of the wrong places, placing the RBMC on the Bloody Scorpions MC radar. Falling for Brooklyn had never crossed Bama’s mind until the chemistry between pushed them together.

The relationship between Bama and Lanny as she will soon be called is one of protector and charge but quickly turns into something more. Bama never thought he would find his own happily ever after, the club is newly established, and our hero will be the first to find someone to love. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including the introduction of the members of the RBMC: Alabama: president Hammer, VP Rogers, OG Ollie, SAA Butterbean, Leigh, IT Breaker, Froggy, Fox, Tail Gunner Deg, Treasurer Bruno, Glenda, Bama’s sister Allie; Brooklyn’s our year old daughter Sadie, and her ex Marshall Jones. The requisite evil has many faces.

DEFENDED BY BAMA is a story of power and control, abuse and survival, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is heart breaking, emotional and powerful; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are determined, purposeful and dynamic.
