REVIEW: HER TEMPTATION is the first instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult OFF YOUR ROCKER erotic, rock duet focusing on twenty-eight year old, rock musician Colter ‘Colt’ Slade, and twenty-six year old Deliah Norman.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from first person perspective (Deliah) HER TEMPTATION follows the up and down relationship between our story line couple. Dumped on Valentine’s Day by her boyfriend Joseph, mild mannered and extremely naive Deliah Norman seeks solace at one of her family owned hotels, only to come face to face with the lead singer of the rock group 12Gauge Slayed. A night spent with rocker Colt Slade finds Deliah heading out on tour where she will discover that the life of a rock star’s girlfriend is much harder than she cold have ever imagined but when Colt begins to spiral out of control, our heroine must come to terms with a lifestyle for which she was never prepared.

The world building follows the ban 12Gauge Slayed on the road, as they embark on a world tour but Deliah often finds herself on the outside looking in, as the fans and groupies make her life miserable, and she begins to suspect everything about our hero is a lie.

The relationship between Deliah and Colt is a relationship of opposites attract. Deliah comes from a well-to-do family, kept secluded from the reality of the world, expected to marry a man of her parents’ choosing but it is Deliah’s naivety and extreme jealousy that continues to threaten any chance at forever. Colt is determined to prove he is the man Deliah professes to love but Colt often struggles with his demons, demons that threaten his hope for a happily ever after . The $ex scene are intimate and intense.

The secondary and supporting characters are energetic and often questionable. We are introduced to Deliah’s ex Joseph, her parents, as well as the members of 12Gauge Slayed: Colt’s brother Huxley, as well as Dingo and his wife Sia, Johnny and his wife Anna; several groupies and hanger-ons, and one of Colt’s ex Jessi who is determined to make Colt her own.

HER TEMPTATION is as story of addiction and abuse, betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive and troubling; the characters are broken, charismatic but often immature. HER TEMPTATION ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

REVIEW: HIS OBSESSION is the second instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult OFF YOUR ROCKER erotic, rock duet focusing on lead singer of 12Guage-Slayed Colter ‘Colt ‘ Slade, and Deliah Norman. HIS OBSESSION should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the cliff hanger of book one HER TEMPTATION.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Deliah and Colt) HIS OBSESSION picks up after the events of book one, as Deliah spends weeks in recovery for a near fatal accident but the bad news keeps amassing, and our heroine feels less than worthy of the man with whom she had fallen in love. While Deliah’s in recovery, the band is on a break but our heroine is struggling with issues of low self esteem and grief, and in this, jealousy continues to affect any chance at happiness for our story line couple.

The world building focuses on the up and down relationship as Colt and Deliah must come to terms with what happened, and what will never be. Added pressure and more loss find the couple sitting on the sidelines as their rock family and friends begin their new journeys together but the past returns looking for help, and Deliah, once again, finds herself on a downward spiral of heart break and jealousy.

The relationship between Deliah and Colt continues to struggle as their maturity often comes into question. Deliah is quick to jump to conclusions; everything is dramatic and over the top, and at times, it was too much to ask for any sympathy in the wake of the ongoing emotional tirades and fall-out. The $ex scenes are intimate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

All of the previous story line characters return including the member of the band: Colt’s brother Huxley, Johnny and Anna, Dingo and Sia; Deliah’s parents Ford and Elizabeth Norman, and Deliah’s ex Joseph and Danny.

HIS OBSESSION is a story of betrayal, family and relationships, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The premise is once again dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive; the characters are broken but struggling to heal.
