ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 4, 2026
I thought I escaped hell when I ran from the Sanctuary.
Hell found me on a Valentine’s Day auction block, where men in black ties bid on virgins like livestock. Where the highest bidder owns you—body, mind, and soul.
Vaughn Sutherland paid more for me than most people see in a lifetime.
He put me in a room with silk sheets and locked doors. He touched me in ways that made me forget my own name. He made me want things I shouldn’t want.
So, I ran. I made it a few hours before he found me.
I expected punishment. Expected pain. Expected him to finally show me the monster beneath the patient facade.
Instead, he gave me pleasure. Over and over until I broke. Until I begged. Until I couldn’t remember why I ever wanted to leave.
Now I sleep in his bed, not the guest room. Now he watches my every move. Now every choice I thought I had is gone—except one.
Submit willingly to his training for the Consortium gathering, or he’ll break me until I do. And the worst part? I’m starting to want to submit.
The Sanctuary stole her childhood. Vaughn Sutherland bought her virginity. And when she runs? He’ll hunt her down and teach her that the only freedom she’ll ever have is the kind he gives her.

REVIEW:HUNT YOU DOWN is the second instalment in Elizabeth Knox’s contemporary, adult DARK HOLIDAY, dark, erotic, romance series. This is billionaire businessman Vaughn Sutherland, and twenty-three year old Eden Finch’s story line. HUNT YOU DOWN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there maybe triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Eden and Vaughn) HUNT YOU DOWN follows in the wake of the ‘purchase ‘ of our story line heroine. Eden Finch was raised in a religious cult known as the Sanctuary, but two weeks before her ‘arranged marriage’ Eden ran, and believing she located someone to help, found herself on the auction block , where she was about to be sold to the highest bidder. Vaughn Sutherland is a man determined to seek revenge for sins of the past but his membership into The Consortium means participating in events he would prefer to ignore. The sight of a young woman, determined never to submit, forced Vaughn to take control. Buying and claiming Eden as his own was only the first step on the road to revenge but Vaughn never expected to fall in love with the woman whose heart and soul he was about to destroy.
The world building focuses on the preparation and training of our story line heroine in an effort to save her life. Vaughn, in essence, rescued and saved the woman with whom he will fall in love but The Consortium wants proof, and our couple must face the people in charge.
The relationship between Vaughn and Eden begins as a purchase; a forced proximity in the face of betrayal and ownership. Eden is an innocent, and struggles with her attraction to a man who could destroy her life, but as the days and weeks go by, our couple find themselves focusing on a potential future, if only they can escape the threats coming down from the top. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
The secondary and supporting characters are limited. We are introduced to Vaughn’s caring housekeeper Mrs. Silva, his assistant Callum, and Consortium member Victor Hargrove.
HUNT YOU DOWN is a story of power and control, betrayal and obsession, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dark, dramatic and edgy but there is some question of prior knowledge on behalf of our story line heroine; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate, determined, and colorful.
