It was supposed to be a business trip… How did it turn into a fight for survival?
If she doesn’t want her family’s business to wind up as broken as her newly voided marriage contract, Maddison needs a miracle. Too bad for her, the universe is all out. Her ship was shot down. Her plans have exploded. And her best shot at staying alive is a brooding beast of an alien with horns, fangs, and a crazy conviction that she belongs to him.
She’s been hurt too often to trust easily, but there’s no way to survive without his help. He’s the most dangerous male she’s ever met… a threat to their enemies and her heart.

REVIEW:MARKED FOR HAVOC is the seventh instalment in Susan Hayes’ adult, CRASHED AND CLAIMED erotic, alien, romance series. This is Havoc, and human female Maddison Summers’ story line. MARKED FOR HAVOC can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Some of the events of MARKED FOR HAVOC cross over with and run parallel to the events of Marked for Menace (4), Marked for Risk (5), and Marked for Vengeance (6) as all four women were on board Maddison’s space ship the Bountiful Harvest.
SOME BACKGROUND: In the wake of the attack on , and crash of Maddison’s space ship The Bountiful Harvest onto an unknown planet, a ship whose crew and passengers are all women on the run from an abusive life back home, the women will be rescued by an alien species who call themselves the fa’rel. Each clan member will discover their fated mate, mates among the women of the spaceship Bountiful Harvest.
Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Maddison and Havoc) MARKED FOR HAVOC follows the recovery and rescue of our story line heroine. Havoc watched as each of his clansmen recognized their mate, but our hero was unsure as to his own future. A group known as the Verexi aka scrawnies has been hunting the fa’rel, and Havoc is determined to protect the only woman not claimed by his friends. Maddison and Havoc find themselves on the run in an effort to save their lives, a run that will being our couple closer together.
The world building focuses on the take down of The Bountiful Harvest, and some of the backstory of the fa’rel. The fa’rel believe themselves to be a group of alien warriors, created by the verexi. The fa’rel is an army of creatures meant to be controlled but who gained their own independence from the masters they hated. As the story line progresses, the truth will be revealed with the return of one of their own.
The relationship between Maddison and Havoc is one of fated mates. Once a male touches the woman he believes to be his mate, it triggers a reaction as with Maddison and Havoc. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters included Maddison’s ship mates: Loris, Joy and Hope, and Captain Perez, as well as Havoc’s clansmen : Vengeance aka Venge, Risk, Menace, Bysshe and Rage.
MARKED FOR HAVOC is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, relationships and acceptance. The fast paced, character driven story is entertaining and engaging yet simple and easy to read-a familiar story of aliens and fated mates; the romance is limited but fated; the characters are determined.
