REVIEW: PROPERTY OF VEX is the second instalment in Kathleen Kelly’s contemporary adult KINGS OF ANARCHY MC: ALASKA erotic, paranormal MC romance series. This is Kings of Anarchy MC : Alaska VP and eight hundred year old vampire, Ezekiel ‘Vex’ Black, and cafe waitress Tessa Monroe’s story line. PROPERTY OF VEX can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Vex and Tessa) PROPERTY OF VEX follows in the wake of an incoming threat that threatens the safety and lives of all humanity. Vex has been keeping watch since Tessa’s arrival in Alaska, drawn to the woman he would one day call mate but something is targeting our story line heroine, and the prophecy reveals a sacrifice must be made to save the people he loves.

The world building is a supernatural foray into prophecies and legacies as Tessa will discover that her place in the world has been ordained by a higher power but with the help of Vex, Tessa’s powers will come to fruition, powers that will be needed to save them all.

The relationship between Tessa and Vex begins acrimoniously as Vex keeps his distance yet stays close enough to protect. Believing himself a monster, Vex refuses to cross an invisible line but a refusal that could threaten them all. Sides will align as the MC must face an enemy more powerful than they could have ever imagined but it is Tessa and Vex’s love that be the ultimate neutralizer. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of supernatural and powerful secondary and supporting characters including the return of Blade and Hanna (Property of Blade 1), as well as several members of the Kings of Anarchy MC: Alaska including vampires, werewolves, shifters, dragons and a fallen angel with the ability to heal.

PROPERTY OF VEX is a story of power and evil, prophecy and fables, heaven and h*ll, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, magical and dramatic: the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate and dynamic.
