ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 23, 2025
Reformed bad witch Grizelda “Zelda” Watson had hoped to never see another vampire again when she slipped away to sunny California for a fresh start. She’d grown tired of them and their nonsense ages ago. But when a vampire with amnesia unexpectedly shows up on her doorstep with a letter from her old friend Reggie, and asks for her help, she can’t say no. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Peter Elliott is tall and gorgeous, looks great in yoga shorts, and has the kind of dark hair and surly expression Zelda’s been a sucker for for hundreds of years.
Peter isn’t completely harmless—he is fanged, after all—but he’s harmless enough, and soon becomes the only person in Zelda’s new life who knows the truth about what she is. If she can help him decipher the cryptic notes in his journal, the only clues to his lost memories, she might as well try before sending him on his way.
But when an alarming message from Peter’s past coincides with a clear sign that Zelda can’t keep running from her own, they embark on a cross-country road trip for answers—only to find what they’re looking for in each other.

REVIEW: ROAD TRIP WITH A VAMPIRE is the third and final instalment in Jenna Levine’s contemporary, adult MY VAMPIRES erotic, paranormal, romance series. This is vampire Peter Elliott, and yoga instructor / witch Grizelda ‘Zelda’ Watson’s story line. ROAD TRIP WITH A VAMPIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from first person perspective (Zelda) and journal entries / memory dreams ROAD TRIP WITH A VAMPIRE follows Vampire Peter Elliot as he goes in search of his memories, his past. Several weeks earlier, Peter woke up with a headache, with no memory of what happened or who he was but with an insatiable thirst for human blood. With the help of a former friend, vampire Reginald Cleaves (My Vampire Plus One), Peter heads to California in the hopes of finding Zelda Watson, a witch who knows a thing or two about vampires but a witch who is struggling with powers of her own. A journal, a map, and a classic old convertible, Zelda and Peter go in search of the truth, and the memories Peter was hoping to forget.
The world building focuses on Peter’s search for the truth but at each point along the map, Peter’s gets a sense of deja-vu, as the memories slowly return to the surface but Zelda is struggling with her own darkened past, and fear that the group known as The Collective is taking aim at both.
The relationship between Zelda and Peter is slow to build as Peter struggles with regaining his memories, and Zelda battles between head and heart, helping a vampire who may be in trouble. Zelda is determined to seduce the vampire that calls to her heart but Peter fears hurting the woman with whom he is falling in love The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.
The secondary and supporting characters include the return of vampire Reginald Cleaves, as well as several members of Zelda’s yoga group .
ROAD TRIP WITH A VAMPIRE is story of secrets and lies, power and control, friendships and relationships, forgiveness and love. The slow building premise is intriguing and entertaining; the romance is limited but seductive; the characters are magical and determined.
