ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 23, 2026
Silas
Six weeks off the ice for a shoulder injury – bearable. Six weeks back at Blue River Ranch to recover – agonizing.
I traded my boots for skates a long time ago and never looked back. Not even at Storm Dalton. The girl I spent summers causing trouble with.
Now, she’s working on my family’s ranch proving she belongs here more than I ever did.
But those green eyes don’t light up when they land on me anymore. They’re throwing daggers. Fighting me at every turn.
And this time, I’m the one struggling to walk away.
Storm
Silas Thorne has always been good at two things. Hockey. And leaving – in those shiny sneakers that match his golden boy charm.
Now, he’s stuck here. Looking entirely too handsome with that easy grin like he didn’t ghost me all those years ago.
But I’ve got priorities now. A life I built on my own. And a past better left behind.
I may have done some foolish things in my life, but none would be as foolish as wanting a man who’s always had one foot out the door.

REVIEW: Saddle Storm by Roxanne Tully is the third installment in the Blue River Springs series. As always, I do recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it, however, each book can be read as a standalone in an interconnected world.
For readers who enjoy a second chance, cowboy/single mom romance, this will be the one for you. Silas and Storm have history so of course there will be some tension after all the time they have been apart. Storm is independent, she has made it her mission to be so, so while I do appreciate Silas wanting to come in and help and girl out…him just throwing money at everything to “fix” things just left a bitter taste in my mouth after an otherwise, very sweet story.
As much as I tried to get the “golden boy” hockey player returned home to smalltown, it just didn’t take. Don’t get me wrong, the small town feels are there, but Silas just doesn’t give Golden Retriever energy, more like … .prince charming with a naughty side. Regardless, the two childhood friends slowly start to learn each other again, and while doing so, fall back in love with one another.
Overall, I did enjoy the book, the series even more so. For readers that like Elsie Silver, this will be right up your alley. The storyline is easy to keep up with, even if it is a little typical, but the characters are enjoyable and I would recommend it to others readers who enjoy this type of genre. I will be curious to see how this series continues.

Roxanne writes contemporary romance with strong realistic heroines and a healthy dose of angst. When she’s not writing, she enjoys hiking, baking and traveling with her real-life male hero.
