REVIEW: SIN CITY OBSESSION is the first instalment in Rose Wulf’s contemporary, adult DE SALVO EMPIRE erotic, Mafia romance series, set in the author’s De Salvo Family World. This is twenty-nine year old , Alessa Adimari, and heir to the Cavallo empire thirty-four year old, underboss Rocco Cavallo’s story line.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Alessa and Rocco) SIN CITY OBSESSION follows Mafia assassin/ hunter Alessa Adimari in the months following her brother’s death. Alessa Adimari works for the De Salvo family in Newark but threats against Michele De Salvo’s fiancée find Alessa flying to Las Vegas where she will work side by side with the Cavallo Crime family as they hunt for a betrayer of their own.

The world building focuses on the search for a betrayer; as the threats against the Cavallo family become dangerous and deadly. Alesso needs access to the Cavallo territory in an effort to hunt down the person taking aim at the De Salvos, and with the help of Rocco Cavallo, our heroine finds herself on the verge of moving towards a new path.

The relationship between Alessa and Rocco begins as a form of cooperation between crime families but Rocco knows immediately that Alessa is the woman to control his heart. Desperate and determined, Rocco becomes guardian and protector of a woman who prefers to work alone.The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are energetic and dynamic. We are introduced to Rocco’s men Emanuele and Ignazio, Rocco’s father Rocco Cavallo, Alessa’s parents Stella and Alfonso, as well as the return Dante ‘The Dragon ‘ De Salvo (Rescued by the Mafia 1). The requisite evil has many faces.

SIN CITY OBSESSION is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, captivating and dramatic; the characters are desperate and determined; the romance is fated and seductive.
