REVIEW:ACE by Kat Mizera is a contemporary, adult, erotic, romantic suspense ROYAL PROTECTORS companion novel. This is thirty-seven year old, CIA operative Andrew ‘Ace’ Ross, and thirty-one year old teacher, Shannon Barrow’s story line.

NOTE: I believe ACE falls between books one SANDOR and two XANDER. I am not positive but there is some confusing information at the back of the book including reading order and what comes next.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Ace and Shannon) ACE follows in the wake of a stalker targeting our story line heroine. Approximately ten years earlier, after a dance and a kiss, Andrew ‘Ace’ Ross disappeared from Shannon Barrow’s life. Fast forward to present day, Shannon suspects she has a stalker, and with the unwanted help of her mother, Andrew ‘Ace’ Ross offers up his services to the woman he has always loved but nothing is the same, everything has changed throughout the previous decade, and in this, Shannon is struggling to trust including the man with whom she had fallen in love.

The world building focuses on uncovering the truth. Someone is deliberately targeting our story line heroine, and when the truth is revealed, betrayal comes swiftly and potentially at a cost.

The relationship between Ace and Shannon is a friends to lovers relationship in which ten years has past leading to questionable friendships and relationship, leaving Shannon wondering where everything went wrong. A holiday vacation together brings with it plans for the future but as Ace continues to search for the truth, the reality may force Shannon to walk away. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are energetic, dynamic and questionable. We are introduced to Shannon’s mother Samantha; her co-worker Sandra; Ace’s friend Chris and his girlfriend Aubrey, as well as Ace’s friend and security specialist Darryl ‘Chains’ Carruthers.

ACE is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and heart break, power and control, family and dissolution, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, heart breaking and edgy; the romance is impassioned; the characters are determined and desperate.

REVIEW:  ACE is the second instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC TENNESSEE CHAPTER erotic MC romance series, a spin off from the author’s original CERBERUS MC series. This is former Cerberus MC members turned ICE agent, fifty nine year old Eddie ‘Ace’ Yarrow, and thirty-seven year old philanthropist Cora Preston’s story line. ACE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Several characters from the original series including founder of the original New Mexico chapter Diego ‘Kincaid’ Anderson, Wren Nelson and Puff Daddy, Jericho and Hemlock, cross over for cohesion and back story.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Cora and Eddie) ACE follows the building relationship between our story line couple, and the search for Cora’s missing Sadie. The world building follows the search for a missing woman, a woman with a rebellious streak, who has struggled all of her life. From a prominent political family. Cora and her siblings always had specific roles to play but the loss of their parents found Cora taking charge when her eldest brother sought election to the highest seat in the land.

The relationship between Cora and Eddie begins acrimoniously. Eddie struggles with his latest assignment believing he is better suited to something else.Going head to head with Cora Preston forces Eddie to take charge when Cora’s life is threatened, unaware of the potential trouble she is about to unleash. Working together to find Sadie, Cora finds herself falling for a man who has been alone most of his life. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include the return and cameo of several Cerberus MC members from the original series, as well as the introduction of Cora’s brothers, William Preston, and Christopher; and their housekeeper Faye.

ACE is a story of betrayal and madness, grief and acceptance, family and love. The premise is dramatic, intriguing and entertaining; the romance is seductive and impassioned; the characters are desperate and determined.

REVIEW: ACE is the fourth instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult FURY VIPERS MC dark, erotic, MC romance series. This is MC president Tobias ‘Ace’ Anderson, and twenty-three year old, tattoo artist Andromeda ‘Eda’ Peters’ story line. ACE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

NOTE: For fans of Brooke Summers, several characters from the author’s MADE series cross over with cameo appearances.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Eda and Ace) ACE follows the building relationship between MC president Tobias ‘Ace’ Anderson, and twenty-three year old, tattoo artist Andromeda ‘Eda’ Peters. For years Andromeda suffered at the hands of her brutal and abusive father, and three step brothers, until the day a woman she didn’t know, saved our heroine from future harm. Fast forward to present day, Adromeda, who has never known love, is unable to trust, and is apprehensive in the face of promises and expectations. A friends with benefits only relationship with Fury Vipers MC president quickly turns into something more but Eda keeps secret her dark and dangerous past. The requisite evil has many faces.

ACE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, abuse and torture, forgiveness and love. The premise is dark, gritty and disturbing; the romance is provocative; the characters are broken, strong-willed yet single minded.
