Meanwhile, forced by a club vote, Christopher seeks an uneasy partnership with Bash and the Scorpions, though mistrust is high. Everyone wants peace, but the path there isn’t easy. As bullshit runs amok, bodies and betrayal pile up. Things reach a boiling point, making a last alliance between the Death Dwellers and the American Scorpions unlikely.

REVIEW:RAMPAGE: BOILING POINT is the eighth instalment in Kathryn C Kelly’s contemporary, adult DEATH DWELLERS MC: LEGACY dark, MC series, a spin off set in the author’s DEATH DWELLERS MC world focusing on the multi-generational family, and dysfunctional membership in the Death Dwellers MC. Most of the original couples plays a significant role throughout the legacy series. Covering but a couple of days in the life, RAMPAGE: BOILING POINT is part one of the two part RAMPAGE. I recommend having a working knowledge of the series and the characters, as much of the current timeline is as of a direct result from the previous instalments in both series. RAMPAGE: BOILING POINT should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book seven REMISS.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise including strong language, graphic violence and SA, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers. Many of the main characters are under sixteen years of age but the series is intended for adult readers.

Told from numerous omniscient third person perspectives including club president Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell and his adopted son Diesel, RAMPAGE: BOILING POINT advances the series but a few days, and continues to focus on the flawed, dysfunctional and unstable family dynamics of the member of the Death Dwellers MC, and the large extended and unorthodoxly interconnected Caldwell family. Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell continues to struggle with his tenuous hold on the MC founded by his grandfather, and his relationship with the woman who controls his heart. The membership in the Death Dwellers MC is splintering along with the fluctuating support of the people Christopher trusted, watching from the sidelines as the next generation begins to take control.

Meanwhile, Christopher and Meggie’s fourteen year old daughter Rebel is battling between head and heart, both loving and hating a much older man she considers family, a man who is about to destroy every aspect of her soul. Heartsick and heartbroken Rebel is forced to suffer the desolation of a friendship and love are broken beyond repair.

RAMPAGE: BOILING POINT follows several intersecting pathways revealing old wounds, personal betrayal, jealousy and greed. Christopher is unprepared for the spiral he is both participating in, and witnessing, a spiral that threatens any chance of happiness for everyone involved.

The large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters are questionable, destructive, obnoxious, wretched, atypical, and problematic. There are few redeeming qualities; no one is immune to betrayal and revenge; even the youngest find themselves both predator and prey, when vengeance is dark and deadly.

RAMPAGE: BOILING POINT is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, violence and death, jealousy and greed. The character driven premise is dramatic, dark, gritty and unconventional; the characters are disrespectful, unlikeable yet determined and desperate. The language is offensive, graphic and shocking-heed the trigger warnings-this series is not for everyone. RAMPAGE: BOILING POINT ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including club president Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell and his wife Meggie, REMISS continues to focus on the dysfunctional dynamics of the Death Dwellers MC, their embattled and embittered interconnected families, and a dangerous and deadly fight for power, control, and money . Meggie, as Christopher’s wife, is the queen, but a queen who is tired of her husband’s secrets and lies. Meggie is not a member of the MC but has a controlling interest in more ways than one, and it is that interest that has placed several targets on Meggie’s back, targets directed by the people she knows. As Christopher continues to spiral, Meggie is determined to ‘remove’ the baggage and the ‘vitriol’ that threaten her family, and in this, Christopher takes aim at those threatening to destroy their life.

The world building is detailed and complex, dark and unconventional. As the story unfolds, many of the past secrets and lies are revealed, allowing the characters to adjust to the truth, wherein the reader will relish knowing the connections and some of the backstory.

There is, yet again, a large ensemble cast of questionable, problematic, unlikeable, and violent secondary and supporting characters, many of whom have been initiating actions to take down the man in charge.

REMISS, like all of the previous instalments is dark, gritty, graphic, edgy ,dramatic and often cringeworthy. There is graphic violence and raw language, accusations, jealousy, fear, suspicion, betrayal, and vengeance, secrets and lies, death and destruction, forgiveness and love. The premise is twisted, dark and tragic; the language is graphic, strong, and may be offensive to some readers -even the children as young as ten use offensive language and violence; the characters are deviant, brutal, eccentric and unorthodox.

Heed my warning, REMISS and the Death Dwellers MC series is not for everyone. There are no hearts and flowers, or happily ever afters-there is always something or someone determined to destroy.

REVIEW: RECKLESS is the first instalment in Kathryn Kelly’s contemporary, adult DEATH DWELLERS MC: LEGACY dark, MC romance series-a spin off / next generation set in the author’s Death Dwellers MC world. RECKLESS introduces the next generation including CJ Caldwell (Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell’s son), his sister Rebel, brothers Ryder, Axel, Rule, and their adopted brother Diesel, as well as Val and Zoann’s sons Ryan and Willard, and Johnnie and Kendall’s kids Harley, Mattie, JJ and Rory; Mort and Bailey’s daughter Harley. You do not have to have read the original series but for back story and cohesion I recommend catching up on the DEATH DWELLERS MC.

Told from several third person perspectives, following two timelines, RECKLESS focuses on the volatile and unstable world of the Death Dwellers MC. As each generation begat the next, the sins of the father followed. Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell had hoped to raise his family without the fear of reprisal and history repeating itself but life in the MC often meant a life straddling the rules of morality and respect. As the next generation, all teens under the age of eighteen, step forward to claim a place for themselves, there is someone waiting to strike down and take control. At the heart of the story is a fight for power within the old guard, a generation who believes they deserve it all, and one young man who knows the time will come when he must step up and take control. All is not well- the family dynamics are fragile, abusive, authoritative and competitive; an MC princess pushes the line until she pushes too far.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, dangerous and questionable characters including all of the Death Dwellers MC series couples, and their extended families and children . The author includes a chart at the beginning of the story, otherwise a spreadsheet may be necessary to keep track of connections and relations.

RECKLESS is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, abuse and corruption, discrimination and rejection. The premise is detailed, complex, dark, gritty and raw; the next generation of characters are often immature, spoiled, self serving and impulsive; the old guard struggle with what is happening in their lives and the lives of their overly dramatic children. RECKLESS ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Heed my warning, the language is graphic and strong.
