REVIEW:DIABLO’S DARLING is the first instalment in Morgan Jane Mitchell’s contemporary, adult SAINT’S OUTLAWS MC: MIAMI, erotic, MC romance series, part of the multi-authored SAINT’S OUTLAWS MC series. This is president of the SOMC: MIAMI Diablo, and Darling Rivera’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Diablo and Darling) DIABLO’S DARLING follows the rekindling relationship between our story line couple. Three years earlier, Darling Rivera and Diablo had fallen in love but the murder of Diablo’s former MC president change the MC dynamics, and in the ensuing aftermath Darling River was pushed out of Diablo’s life. Fast forward to present day, Darling finds herself a prisoner of the Saint’s Outlaws MC, collateral damage for sins of the past, and as such our heroine will not only come face to face with the man who destroyed her life but the woman who is currently controlling every aspect of his life. Determined to keep Darling close, Diablo continues to proclaim his love for Darling Rivera but Darling is not the only woman in Diablo’s life.

The world building follows the back and forth, heart breaking dynamics between our story line couple. Diablo’s need for Darling is outmatched by a master puppeteer, a woman who not only threatens, but blackmails the man in charge.

The relationship between Diablo and Darling is one of second chances but Darling is struggling with Diablo’s almost bi-polar actions towards our story line heroine. Diablo has never stopped loving the woman whose heart he destroyed, a woman who is often TSTL but a woman who has been broken, time and time again. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

We are introduced to several members of the Saint’s Outlaws MC: Miami including Shady, Vice, SAA Magic, Darling’s ex Rico; he best friend Lady Nyx,and Diablo’s fiancee Carmen.

DIABLO’S DARLING is a story of abuse, power and control betrayal and vengeance, heart breaking and forgiveness, acceptance and love The character driven premise is intriguing and entertains but the author’s style of writing has changed, the text and conversations between characters reads formulaic. The rekindling romance is fated but struggles in the face of ongoing betrayal; the characters are desperate and questionable.
