REVIEW:HEARTLESS LORD is the first instalment in the contemporary, new adult LORDS OF STONEWALL dark, erotic, college romance co-authored by Sienna Cross and Ember St. Vincent. This is Stonewall legacy heir Killian Davenport, and Lexi Vega’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Killian and Lexi) HEARTLESS LORD follows in the wake of the arrival and transfer of Lexi Vega. Stonewall University is an elite school for the rich and connected but Lexi Vega was neither, and arrive on a scholarship but our heroine never expected to come face to face with her past, the boy she once loved, a man who has grown cold and distant. At sixteen years of age, Lexi’s life was destroyed, and the fall-out pulled Killian out of her life. Fast forward to present day, Killian, a member of a secret society within the hallowed walls of Stonewall University, is taking control of our story line heroine, the woman whose heart he broke, and trust he destroyed but all is not as it appears to be at Stonewall University, and our couple will find themselves on the run, in the hopes of staying one step ahead of the people in charge.
The world building is dark and oppressive; the characters are morally gray and their actions are questionable; the power inequality threatens anyone who goes against a list of secret rules.
The relationship between Lexi and Killian is one of second chances, of a sorts. A tempestuous unequal power dynamic in which Lexi finds herself dominated by the man she once loved, a man who has secrets of his own. As Killian seduces Lexi under his control, the truth will reveal a dark and dangerous secret that threatens to destroy everyone involved. The $ex scenes are erotic and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of questionable, destructive and powerful secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Lexi’s roommate Cordelia, mean girl Lorelei, as well as several member of Stonewall University’s secret society, a society that rules with intimidate and blood.
HEARTLESS LORD is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, abuse and manipulation, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is dark, dramatic, and haunting; the romance is edgy and visceral; the characters are tragic, arrogant, brutal and brooding.
