ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 24, 2023

A super steamy standalone rated F for filthy…

“If you came here to get mauled, Ella…I’m very willing to bite.”

The night of my birthday looked as boring as the rest of my life. Sitting on my own, trying to avoid my insanely gorgeous but horribly mean flatmate, all while waiting for him to leave so I could have a party for one…if you know what I mean.

But that was before I almost crashed on the way home when a big top rolled into town. Before I locked eyes with the hottest guy I’d ever seen swinging a sledgehammer in the rain. Before I read the flyer promoting the newly erected circus. A circus that wasn’t the usual garish carnival…oh, no…this one was most definitely not for children.

Not unless you counted bondage, fantasies, and one dirty night full of heinously deviant fun.

Only problem was…my flatmate decided to get his freak on too. He saw me as I agreed to spend the night with the owner of said depraved circus…and he made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Both.
Together.

I get to be owned by two men, not just one.
I get to live out my wildest fantasies and teach Nicholas Davis a lesson for all those stony scowls and disdainful glances he’s given me.

He can have me for one night.
He can make me crawl, beg, and take me in any way he chooses.
But he has to share.
That is his penance.
And I mean to make him suffer…

Tropes: HIGH, HIGH spice. (We’re talking volcano heat). Standalone. Dirty. Kinky. BDSM. HEA. MFM one scene. MF romance after. Longing. Kink. Master/Sub. Punishments. Praise. Toys. Fall Hard. Dirty Men. Dirty Talk. Dirty Deeds. Forced proximity. Enemies to Lovers. Explosive Chemistry. Quiet on the Outside absolutely Depraved on the Inside. And rated F for Filthy, Filthy…

REVIEW: ONE DIRTY NIGHT by Pepper Winters is a stand alone, contemporary, adult story of erotica focusing on microbiologists Ella Fitzgerald, Nick Davis, and erotic circus owner Hunter Dixon.

NOTE: ONE DIRTY NIGHT contains scenes of BDSM and MFM sexual situations that may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.

Told from first person perspective (Ella) ONE DIRTY NIGHT follows microbiologist Ella Fitzgerald as she struggles with a direction in her personal life. Her roommate and fellow microbiologist Nick Davis looks at our heroine as though she is the bane of his existence, and Ella is desperate to find something more. The arrival of an all-adult circus ‘Spectacle of Secrets’ pushes Ella to investigate the other side of life, where she will come face to face with her roommate Nick Davis, and the circus owner Hunter Dixon. One night together with no sexual inhibitions leaves Ella wanting more from the man she has always loved. What ensues is one night of sexual pleasure between Ella, Nick and Hunter, and the fall-out when Nick announces he doesn’t want anything more.

ONE DIRTY NIGHT is a highly sexual story of indulgence and provocative fantasies. Ella is hoping to spread her proverbial wings but finds herself head over heals for a man who doesn’t want the same thing. Unable to accept the rejection, Ella sets off on her own, only to discover that jealousy if a great motivator when someone else is interested in what you have to offer. The premise is edgy, sensual and provocative; the characters are desperate, determined, lively and flawed.

A Game of Retribution by Scarlett St. Clair – a Review

A Game of Retribution by Scarlett St. Clair – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Hades, God of the Dead, does not take sides or bend the rules. He makes no exceptions to these values—not for god or mortal, even his lover, Persephone, Goddess of Spring.

Usually, fear prevents retaliation.

But not this time.

When Hera, Goddess of Women, approaches Hades with a plan to overthrow Zeus, he declines to offer help. As punishment, Hera sentences Hades to perform a series of labors. Each feat seems more impossible than the last and draws his attention away from Persephone—whose own tragedy has left her questioning whether she can be Queen of the Underworld.

Review:

A Game of Retribution by Scarlett St. Clair is the 2nd book in her Hades Saga series. I have read this author recently and loved her latest, but have not read her Hades or Persephone series.  A Game of Retribution, which is based on Greek mythology, did read well, as St. Clair manages to give us enough information to understand. In A Game of Retribution, Hades is the main lead in this story, as it was in his POV; the story does revolve around Hades and Persephone

Hades, the God of Death, rules the Underworld, as the lord who takes care of the all souls; he is selfless, and does not take sides or bend the rules. Hades is desperately in love with Persephone, the chemistry between them is very steamy. Persephone, is sweet, and caring of others, and she knows she has fallen in love with Hades. But though she means well, she doesn’t understand the decisions Hades makes in not helping her take care of friends and others. This causes a few fights, with Hades trying to explain that what she requests is not part of the rules, which he never bends.  Throughout the book, Persephone gets mad a number of times, which caused problems for Hades; as much as knowing she was a good person, I did get annoyed with her.

Hades plans to ask Persephone to marry him and become his Queen; but first he has to deal with Hera, who forces him to do some dangerous deeds, in getting her approval. I liked Hermes and Hecate, as they were not only friends, but also loyal to Hades; a well as him marrying Persephone. Hades and people, learn about an ancient relic that is lost, with a group secretly planning to cause a possible war. Hades must find out who will side with him. I expect the next book will be the start of the war to come between gods, monsters, demigods, and mortals.

A Game of Retribution was very well written by Scarlett St. Clair.  I enjoyed the book, but I may have liked it even better had a read some of the previous books.

He Owns My Heart by Evie Drae – a Review

He Owns My Heart by Evie Drae – a Review

Amazon

Description:
Only true love can free a captive heart.

Landon Jenks, retired four-time Golden Glove-winning shortstop for the Chicago Cubs, is lonely, heartbroken, and in need of simple human contact. Trapped in the fine print of an ironclad contract forbidding him from revealing his single status until the season finale of his reality show airs, he calls an elite male escort service catering to the rich and desperate.

Accustomed to servicing his often less than savory clients at more upscale locales, twenty-six-year-old Toby Carmichael is surprised when his handler sends him to a run-down motel off I-55. But “surprise” doesn’t come close to describing the shock that rocks his system when a delightful stuttering mess covered in tattoos and nearly ten years his senior stumbles into the room—and right into his heart.

For the first time since Toby was forced into the life of prostitution, a kiss sparks a desire that has nothing to do with money and everything to do with genuine chemistry and the faintest beginnings of something so much more. But Toby’s dark past and troubled present make it impossible to see a future with Landon. When the truth comes to light, a horrified and helpless Landon is determined to save Toby at all costs.

Only true love can free a captive heart.

Content Warnings: Discussion of childhood verbal abuse by an adult survivor, homophobia from a close family member, discussion of previous self-harm/cutting behaviors by an adult survivor, prostitution with dubious consent (all interactions between the main characters have full consent and there are no on-page depictions of dub-con situations), consensual and experimental Domination/submission play between mostly-novice characters, mild violence between a main character and antagonist, and human trafficking associated with illegal drugs (nothing explicit on-page, only discussions related to and psychological/mental ramifications of addressed in moderate detail).

Review:

He Owns My Heart by Evie Drae is a new M/M series, Owned Heart, Body & Soul. Landon is lonely, he’s usually only wanted for his name and not his company. Having played baseball to a professional level, he’s now a reality star and owner of a custom made bike shop. He’s hiding from life, his last relationship was a publicity stunt orchestrated by his “co-star” to “come out” (more ratings for the show) will he find no one to love him? In a sorry moment, Landon hires an escort.

But meeting the vibrant young man makes Landon all to aware of his failings….

Tobias/Toby whore, prostitute, hooker, he’s heard them all. He’s sold himself to help his sister (she got caught up with drug dealers) his family are unaware of his predicament, but he’s told often by handler they are safe, for now!

So an eight year contract had been drawn up, and Toby services the “clients” never off duty, nothing is too much trouble, He keeps reminding himself that’s it’s just three more years, then he’s free. But he’s not sure how much more he can take, he’s slowly losing himself, and it’s killing him inside!!

I liked this story. Yes the usual “pretty woman” scenario, wealthy attractive single man meets prostitute (blah blah blah). But unlike “pretty woman” we have a M/M scenario. The story for me had a real depth (I usually read paranormal romance if m/m involved) but the backstory had me intrigued. And the story had me hooked from almost the first page.

It’s a Romeo and Juliette type story, a forbidden love, a love that can go nowhere, a love doomed! A week stolen just for themselves. But will it make it harder when Landon has to let Toby go?

There are a lot of triggers on this book (it does carry a warning label) there is a lot of baggage that both men carry. Abuse, self harm, homophobia and many more. The BDSM wasn’t the usual angry spanky tie me up and whip me scenes. It was about trusting someone to know your limits and to take care of you, putting your wants and needs above their own.

Yes there is a fair amount of sex in this book, but considering they think they’ve only got a week together, I sort of understand it, and luckily enough it doesn’t go on and on and on and on!! The couples moments had me sighing, the ordinary stolen moments that Landon and Toby were storing up to take out when they were alone were touching.

Each in love, but too scared to voice it. And if they did, what could they do about it?

So can Landon free Toby? How can he, when the men controlling Toby hold all the cards? And it had me guessing right up until the last few pages (I thought it would end of a cliffhanger)

Loved Steffon (Landon BFF) he was a riot! Camp when needed, light relief when things got too heavy, confidant and agony aunt. Every time he opened his mouth I chuckled, that guy had no filter.

I’m so hoping we get another book. I’d like Steffon to have a book.

Highly recommend this book. Yes it’s a Pretty Woman story, but my god it’s a good one.

Forbidden Desire by Robin Lovett – a Review

Forbidden Desire by Robin Lovett – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple

Description:
Being a sex goddess should be my dream come true—as much sex as I want, with magic powers to heal people, too. Until I realize the enormously strong human I desire most is completely off-limits. My people will put me in prison if I’m caught with a human.

But one encounter together leaves me panting for more. So I kidnap him and take him to an alien sex retreat. I soon discover not only is my big strong human a virgin, his bio-engineering might have made him the largest person I’ve ever seen, but also it made him unable to feel any sensation on his skin.

We’ve got three days to try to heal him with my sex powers before I risk someone discovering us. Then I find out his biggest secret…

Review:

Forbidden Desire by Robin Lovett is part of  her Planet of Desire series.  The title sounds ok, forgive the cheesy description, it’s actually really good.

Graven is or was human, years ago he was experimented on. He maybe bigger and stronger than most humans, but he has no sensation in his body. He can’t feel pleasure or pain, he can’t feel the clothes on his back or the caress of a hand!  And because he was experimented on at an early age, he never got to experience love or lust. In fact his biggest regret is never getting laid!!

He watches Niva daily, watches how she lovingly gives herself to both male and females. He’s in awe of her, he thinks of her as a goddess.  Niva is what we’d probably call a sex therapist, but she uses her body instead of words.

Group sex and public sex are the norm on her home planet Fellamana. In fact monogamy isn’t the done thing, it’s not exactly frowned on, but why stick to one person when you can have as navy as you like. The planet produces an amorous gas that when absorbed into your body, you lose your inhibitions. So an antidote is needed to counteract the planets atmosphere.

Being forbidden to interact with the humans visiting her planet (you can blame her cousin Koviye, for that ban) “Stolen Desire” Niva can only mourn the loss at getting to know the gentle giant who watches her from afar. But fate takes a hand and gives her an opportunity to be with this gentle giant.

I have to admit, it’s pretty good. There is a fair amount of foreplay/sex. But the interaction between Niva and Graven was so sweet. He’s totally besotted with her, is it because he’s a virgin? Maybe, but the more they find out about each other, the more they connect. But it can only be for three days, after that Niva can never see Graven again. As it is, if they are found together then it could be a prison sentence or death!

So what happens after three days? Will they be able to part?   It’s a fun read, it’s a quick read. And I don’t think you’ll need to read previous books.
