A beautiful girl stands just outside the bedroom door in nothing but an Evil Dead t-shirt that shows off her long gorgeous legs. Dark hair falls in long waves to her waist and dark eyes stare back at me.
My first thought is my club brothers put her up to this—their idea of stress relief to get my head back in the game. I’ll have to thank them.

Fiona—
What the heck is he doing here? The patch on the back of his cut is clear as day even in the moonlight. Evil Dead MC – Nevada.

Ho-ly crap. I’m not supposed to be here. My father will kill me when he finds this out. If he finds this out.

REVIEW: SHINE: Sins of the Father is the eighth instalment in Nicole James’ contemporary, adult EVIL DEAD MC: 2nd Generation MC romance series -a spin off set in the author’s EVIL DEAD MC world. This is thirty-three year old, Evil Dead MC: Nevada member Shine, and twenty-two year old, MC princess Fiona’s story line. SHINE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Fiona is the daughter of Wolf and Crystal (Wolf: Evil Dead MC 4), and sister to Rafe.

Told from three first person perspectives (Shine, Fiona and Reckless) SHINE follows in the wake of a forbidden weekend between our story line couple. Fiona, and her best friend Janey, are secretly throwing a summer’s end party at the MC owned cabin, five hours from home but upon their arrival Janey is called back home because of an emergency, and our heroine will soon meet her future in the guise of Evil Dead MC: Nevada member Shine. Fiona hides her true identity from the man in question, and at the end of a sex-filled, turbulent and deadly weekend, they both go their separate ways but in the ensuing months, Fiona’s life will change in more ways than one; while Shine, never having forgotten the woman who stole is heart, continues to search for the last man who destroyed his sister’s life.

The world building follows the separate lives of our story line couple, covering approximately eighteen months. Fiona is desperate to keep her secret but a secret that is slowing revealing the truth. Starting her own bakery, Fiona’s life plan have changed but she has never forgotten the man she left behind. Shine is determined to end the lives of the men who continue to haunt his sister’s world but months later, a chance encounter at the Evil Dead MC in San Jose finds our hero facing down the woman he never forgot but a woman who hiding an important secret.

The relationship between Shine and Fiona begins as a weekend fling that ends in murder. Fiona never expected to fall for an MC member from an affiliated club but in an effort to protect our story line hero, Fiona must keep Shine’s identity a secret in the face of her father’s need to avenge. Shine continues to hunt for the men who broke his sister, while Fiona’s path going forward is more complicated than she could have ever imagined. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of spirited and impulsive secondary and supporting characters including members from both the Evil Dead MC Nevada and San Jose Chapters including Shine’s president Daytona. We are reintroduced to Fiona’s brother Rafe, as well as her parents Wolf and Crystal, Reckless, Marcus,TJ, Kyle, Cody, Skeeter, and Fiona’s friend Janey.

SHINE-Sins of the Father is a story of secrets and lies, vengeance and murder, betrayal and heart break, forgiveness and love. The fast paced premise is captivating and dramatic; the romance is limited but seductive; the characters are animated, desperate and determined.

This is Kyle and Sutton’s story line. KYLE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Kyle is Wolf and Crystal’s son (WOLF: Evil Dead MC 4).

Told from dual first person perspectives (Kyle and Sutton) KYLE follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Months earlier Kyle met our story line heroine but his twin brother Rafe swooped in and walked away with the girl. Fast forward to present day, Kyle continues to lust after his brother’s girlfriend but when Rafe asks Kyle for another favor, our hero finds himself working side by side with the woman he loves. Owning and operating a successful food truck places Kyle in the spotlight, but his attraction to his brother’s girlfriend continues to grow. Meanwhile, the club’s lawyer is dead, and his wife suspects her husband was murdered, and wants the Evil Dead MC to track down his killer. What ensues is the building attraction between Kyle and Sutton, and the potential fall-out as our heroine refuses to come between brothers, fearing she will lose both in the end.

The world building primarily focuses on Kyle and Sutton, and Kyle’s burgeoning food truck business. As Kyle’s success grow, he finds himself considering a more permanent option, hopefully with the woman he loves by his side. The conflict is minimal, the resolution is smooth and without any major difficulty.

The relationship between Kyle and Sutton is one of immediate attraction but Sutton is Rafe’s girlfriend, a position Sutton believes is temporary then gone. Kyle struggles to keep his distance but working side by side pushes Sutton to take charge of everyone’s future. The $ex scenes are limited but intimate and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar, colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Evil Dead MC: Billy, TJ, Rafe, Marcus, Reckless, as well as the OG. We are introduced to Joselyn Silver, and several social media influencers.

KYLE is a story of obsession and lust, secrets and guilt, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is inviting but focuses mainly on the growing relationship between Kyle and Sutton, and Kyle’s successful food truck business-the search for a killer is limited although information obtained could be used for a future storyline. The characters are determined and spirited; the romance is tender and heart warming.

A one-night stand ensued in which Gigi believed TJ ghosted, and in the aftermath, our heroine ran away with someone else. Desperate to locate his daughter, Jameson O’Rourke called the Evil Dead MC for help, and TJ would discover that all was not well with the woman with whom he would fall in love. What ensues is the second chance (of a sorts) between Gigi and TJ, and the potential fall-out as the past refuses to let go, taking aim at our story line heroine.

The world building focuses on the search and rescue of Gigi O’Rourke, the secrets that are about to change their lives, and the potential for war with a rival MC.

The relationship between Gigi and TJ begins as a one-night stand in which both believe the other ghosted and ran.TJ thought Gigi may have been the one woman to capture his heart, and Gigi was led to believe that TJ was a biker who used and abused the people in their lives. Gigi’s time with TJ and the Evil Dead MC would prove that everything she was told had been predicated upon a lie, a lie that pulled the couple apart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

We are introduced to Gigi’s father, tattoo artist Jameson O’Rourke, uncles Liam and Max, as well as Billy, Marcus; new recruits Brayden, Rafe and Kyle; and several members of the Evil Dead MC-Cole, Crash, Red Dog, Shades, Green, Wolf, and Jake. The requisite evil has many faces.

TJ: SINS OF THE FATHER is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, misunderstanding and interference, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is edgy, captivating and dramatic; the romance is seductive; the characters are determined, dynamic and energetic.

Several characters cross over from the original series for cohesion and history.MARCUS was first released in Kindle Vella under the title My Christmas Bad Boy.

Told from several first person perspectives including Brandy and Marcus MARCUS follows the building romance and relationship between Evil Dead prospect Marcus, and waitress/bartender/writer Brandy Arrington. Brandy is working at a local grocery / bar room where Marcus and the other prospects have been sent to retrieve a Christmas package but Marcus is quickly pulled into the aura that is our story line heroine, and pursues Brandy with everything he’s got but someone is gunning for the Evil Dead MC, and Brandy is about to get caught in the crossfire along Melissa, the daughter the president of the Evil Dead MC. What ensues is the building relationship between Brandy and Marcus, and the potential fall-out as a rival MC begins to encroach on the Evil Dead territory, with the help of some powerful people at the top.

The world building continues to focus on the Evil Dead MC: their members, their wives and ol’ladies; their trials and tribulations; their enemies and threats.

The relationship between Marcus and Brandy is one of immediate attraction but Brandy’s past is refusing to let go. With her wealthy parents pushing for a permanent reunion, Brandy must tread carefully in the face of Marcus’ connections and membership in the Evil Dead MC. As Marcus and Brandy are drawn closer together, someone else is looking to destroy Marcus, using Brandy as the catalyst. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and charismatic secondary and supporting characters including many of the original couples and characters who play prominently throughout the story. We are introduced to Brandy’s parents, her ex, as well as several members of the Death Heads, and Dead Souls MC.

I do have one small issue, and that is the use of so many similar names as it pertains to the MCs: Evil Dead, Death Heads, Dead Souls-it was a little bit confusing at times, especially when all three MCs were together on the same page.

MARCUS: SINS OF THE FATHER is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, opportunity and obsession, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The premise is captivating and riveting; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are determined, dynamic and strong.
