REVIEW:FEARLESS is the second instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult LAS VEGAS DEFIANCE MC erotic, MC romance series, set in the author’s DEFIANCE MC worlds. This is club VP Damon ‘Nitro’ Blackwell, and Creative Director Marley Wrens’ story line. FEARLESS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line or series is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Nitro and Marley) FEARLESS follows in the wake of the breakup between Marley Wren and her former boyfriend. Humiliated and shamed, Marley found herself in the back of an uber, driven by the man with whom she would fall in love. Nitro is the VP of Las Vegas Defiance MC, and billionaire businessman Damon Blackwell, but when he needs ‘normalcy’ Nitro prefers to drive an uber, keeping it real with everyone else. Meeting our heroine, a heart broken woman whose sense of self-esteem has been shattered by her now ex-boyfriend, Nitro finds himself falling for a woman who he is hoping to claim for himself but Nitro’s lies are about to push Marley out of his life, and the ramifications will threaten the people he loves.
The world building and relationship focus on Marley and Nitro’s growing love but Nitro knows it is only a matter of time before his secrets are revealed, and the fall-out is much greater than he could have ever expected. A fake relationship to prove our heroine has moved on, finds our couple targeted by the man Marley once lovedMarley will find herself falling for a man she knows nothing about but a man who is willing to dies for the people he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top,sexually graphic language and text.
Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and dynamic secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to several members of the Las Vegas Defiance MC:VP Nitro, tech genius and secretary Ghost, SAA Koa, Mace, Bear, and his sons, Road Captain Deek and Will, as well as club girls Millie McLane, Prospect Will, and Ro: law enforcement Chief Detective Maria Moretti, as well as the introduction of Nitro’s grandmother Queenie, and Marley’s ex and former boss Derek Fletcher.
FEARLESS is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and relationships forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is edgy, startling and tragic; the romance is provocative and captivating; the characters are decisive, strong-willed and charismatic.
