REVIEW: INTERCEPTED is the first instalment in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary, adult THE COOPERS erotic, football romance series focusing on the Cooper family. This is thirty-four year old, vice president of stadium operations Maeve ‘Vee’ Cooper, and thirty six year old quarterback for the Lexington Coopers Griffin ‘Fin’ Graham’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Fin and Vee) using present day and memories from the past, INTERCEPTED follows the second chance relationship between thirty-four year old, vice president of stadium operations Maeve ‘Vee’ Cooper, and thirty six year old quarterback for the Lexington Coopers Griffin ‘Fin’ Graham’. Fourteen years earlier, as college sweetheart, Fin broke Vee’s heart but Fin remembers something different. As the newest member of the Lexington Coopers, Fin is determined to reclaim the woman he has always loved but Vee continues to struggle with the heart break of the past, and issues of trust as it pertains to our story line hero.
The world building focuses on the game of football: from ownership to management, players and fans, INTERCEPTED reveals some of the behind the scenes issues, as well as the ongoing family involvement that is about to spiral out of control.
The relationship between Vee and Fin is one of second chances; a rekindling romance that struggles in the face of perceived betrayal but Fin is determined to prove he is worthy of Vee’s love but Vee is about to face the biggest test of her new career. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and seductive.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and sometimes questionable secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced Vee’s relatives aka team owners, head office/management: General Manager Royce Beasley, Darin Marsh, cousins Grant, Phillip aka Lip,and Leigh; Vee’s father and team owner Reid Hubbard, and step-mother Daphne; Fin’s Teammates quarterback Troy Dennison, cornerback Kai Flores, offensive coordinator Andrew ‘Drew’ Pratt, defensive coordinator Darius Brown; and Vee’s boyfriend Preston Clark,and Fin’s brother Zane.
INTERCEPTED is a story of secrets and lies, perceived betrayal, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and detailed; the romance is impassioned and intense; the characters are determined and dynamic. INTERCEPTED ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA.
