Emilia thought she’d buried her past.
After being rejected by her fated mate nearly a decade ago, the half-witch, half-wolf built a quiet life in the small town of Crystal Falls running a psychic shop. But when tarot cards warn her that death and destiny are returning, she knows one thing for certain.
Warick is coming back.
The Alpha Hunter who rejected her arrives hunting a rogue killer and the trail leads straight to Emilia. Forced to work together, old wounds ignite into dangerous desire as they uncover a darker truth.
Something in the woods is summoning corrupted creatures using forbidden soul magic. And Emilia may be the key to stopping it.
But the deeper they dig, the clearer it becomes… the magic behind the killings isn’t just targeting Warick. It’s targeting their bond.
Because someone in Emilia’s past is willing to burn the entire forest to claim power and Emilia and Warick are standing in the way.

REVIEW: GRAVE HEX is the first instalment in Jade Marshall’s contemporary, adult COVEN OF THE WOLF erotic, paranormal romance series. This is half wolf / half witch Emilia, and Alpha Hunter wolf Warick Blackwood’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Warick and Emilia) GRAVE HEX follows in the wake of the rejection of our story line heroine. Approximately ten years earlier half wolf / half witch Emilia was rejected by her fated mate, an Alpha Hunter who has returned, looking for help, as he searches for a rogue killer. While Emilia struggles to face the man who broke her soul, the search for a killer reveals a familiarity to our story line heroine.
The world building focuses on the hunt for a killer but a hunt that quickly reveals our couple have been targeted. Emilia is considered an abomination to both the witches and the wolves but Warick’s need for his mate, threatens any chance of a happily ever after when the council demands everything and more.
The relationship between Emilia and Warick is tempestuous at best. Ten years earlier, Warick broke our story line heroine when he rejected what fate had planned. For the next decade, Emilia has battled her need for a man who refused to accept their preordained status, and with his return, the possibility of a complete break down was near. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.
The secondary and supporting characters are determined and powerful. We are introduced to several questionable supernatural creatures, the Alpha Council, and Emilia’s sister Moira. The requisite evil has many faces.
GRAVE HEX is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, obsession and discrimination, acceptance and forgiveness. The character driven premise is engaging and dark; the romance is edgy; the characters are desperate and dynamic.
