ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 21, 2026

Seventeen years ago, they were high school sweethearts. But Jon had a dream and ambition, and so he left.

Jenna never thought she would return to their small hometown of Misty Glades, but life had a funny way of pivoting without permission. Still, she was doing okay for herself. She had a roof over her head, gas in her tank, and a small but thriving bakery. Most days, that was enough.

Until she came face-to-barrel with a burglar’s gun. Only for that gun, and that would-be thief, to be swiftly subdued by the very last person she would have expected—her high school boyfriend, not nearly as dead as she’d been told, and all the way grown up.

She might need to put an extra padlock on her heart.

After losing his career with the Marine Corps over stupid propaganda, it was safe to say Jon was not in the mood to stumble upon a pair of amateur burglars. But he was downright unprepared to find the one girl he’d never gotten out of his head staring back at him.

He didn’t know why she was back in Misty Glades, or how the hell she was still single, but he wasn’t going to waste the opportunity. He’d protect her from the escalating number of strange disappearances, endure the town gossip, and even wade through his family’s mess, if it meant that this time, he got to keep her.

REVIEW:HOME TO STAY is the first instalment in Rose Wulf’s contemporary, adult MARINES OF MISTY GLADES paranormal, erotic, romance series. This is former US Marine Jon Johnson, and bakery owner Jenna Hodge’s story line.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Jon and Jenna) HOME TO STAY focuses on the return of form US marine Jon Johnson to his home town of Misty Glades,Oregon following seventeen years of service in the US military. Jon, along with his fellow supernatural teammates, were honorably discharged without explanation, and our hero was about to return home to an unwelcome surprise. Jenna Hodge was starting life anew but the demons from her past refused to let go, until the man who broke her heart seventeen years earlier, returned home to reclaim all that was lost. From questionable law enforcement with a grudge, a disgruntled ex, to missing girls and a link to the Veracruz Cartel,Jon Johnson would face down more hostility than as a US Marine. Declaring himself guardian and protector of the woman he loves, Jon would call in his teammates as reinforcements, setting into motion a new future for everyone involved.

The world building follows several interconnected pathways including questionable law enforcement, a collection of supernatural beings, discrimination against non-humans, and a town under the thumb of the people in charge.

The relationship between Jenna and Jon is one of second chances. Seventeen years changed our story line couple but Jon was determined to prove he never stopped loving the woman whose heart he destroyed. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and determined secondary and supporting characters, many of whom have special abilities and powers. We are introduced to Jenna’s est friend and RN Lynette, and Jon’s bud Lance, as well as Jon’s former teammates, Misty Glades citizens, and local law enforcement. The requisite evil has many faces.

HOME TO STAY is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, jealousy and destruction, magic and mayhem, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is intriguing and edgy; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.

My only concern is a lack of explanation as to the supernatural aspects-who, what, why or how?
