The Best Friend Incident by Melia Alexander – a Review

The Best Friend Incident by Melia Alexander – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo

Description:
Stacey Winters is in love with love, but so far, she’s only found Mr. Dud, Mr. Cheater, and Mr. Boring. Even though her best friend Grant isn’t an option, at least being around him offers her a window into the male psyche—and sets the bar high for her future Mr. Right.

But then she accidentally crosses the friend zone and kisses him, and it starts to feel a little too much like he might be what she’s been looking for…

Grant Phillips doesn’t do relationships. A casualty of the foster care system, he knows people are just looking for a reason to bolt. “No attachments” is his hard and fast rule. There’s only one exception: his best friend, Stacey. He refuses to jeopardize what they have.

But now that he knows how good it felt to kiss her, felt the addictive slide of her body against his, Stacey Winters is indelibly stamped onto Grant’s brain—and not just as his friend.

He is so screwed.

Review:

The Best Friend Incident by Melia Alexander was a little predictable…. and not too keen on the friend to lover genre, but I’ll give it a go ….

Poor Stacey, in love with the idea of love, she came across a little desperate to me, always looking for “the one”. She certainly doesn’t find it in the guy she is dating at the moment (although in her head, they are a “perfect pair”).  When the “incident” happens (lots of kissing in the dark, she thinks Grant is the boyfriend), but things take a different turn, and now Stacey is looking at Grant in a “whole new light”.  Will she want to lose her best friend if they take it too far? Can you truly be just friends with benefits? Will jealousy rear its ugly head?  What happens if someone wants more?

Grant came from a broken home, so trusting women isn’t high on his list of priorities, in fact, Grant is a “love them and leave them before they leave me” type of guy. This is what we read throughout the whole story, as their relationship goes from best friends to lovers, they grapple with their fears of losing each other’s friendship.

There are a few funny moments, and the story was well written, but for me, something was missing. Maybe the fact that they constantly “should I, shouldn’t I” and then fall into bed, and then ignore that fact, and then go round again !!!

The Best Friend Incident was an ok book, and if friends to lovers is your genre, then I’d give this book a read.

Toxic Desire by Robin Lovett – a Review

Toxic Desire by Robin Lovett – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo

Description:
Nemona can’t believe she’s crash landed on the planet Fyrian with the brooding, golden-skinned alien who destroyed her ship and scattered her crew. She should want to kill him. But everything on Fyrian is an aphrodisiac. So she just wants to have him. Now. Revenge. That’s all commander Oten has wanted against humans for more than a century, ever since they tried to destroy his kind. He never thought he’d end up in bed with one. But the desire the sex planet stokes for this human female is eating him alive. Keeping his hands, his mouth, and his vampiric fangs to himself proves impossible—especially when she’s begging him to touch her. Nemona has no idea what endless sex with a Ssedez will do to her. But Oten knows all too well. They need to get off this planet. Before their coupling stirs an alien mating bond that neither of their hearts can withstand.

Review:

Toxic Desire by Robin Lovett is the first book in her new Planet of Desire series.  This story starts off at a fast pace and action that leaves you hoping it stays that way.

Our characters end up stranded on a planet that neither of them know much about….. General Nemona believing that her entire crew may be dead, and her very important mission has been lost, has nothing to lose, but she wants to know how the ship she commanded was boarded undetected and how the hell she will get off this planet.

Commander Oten only wants to wipe the human race off the face of the universe, they have been systematically trying to do that to his race for decades. So after destroying this humans ship, he looks forward in torturing this general for more information, what a big surprise he gets when the “male” turns into a female !!! He can’t understand his reaction to this “human” it has to be the planets atmosphere turning his brain into mush, but his reaction to her may start the bonding process and that’s not going to happen.

There is a lot of sex scenes in Toxic Desire. When they’re not spending time trekking over the the planet looking for a way off, then they are having more sex !!!!!

I felt it a little hard to believe that you hate someone THAT much, but after being on the planet for a short while, your willing or desperate enough to have endless sex with an enemy that only hours ago you had a blaster aimed at their chest !!

I understand that the author wants to set the scene for more books, but to be honest I’d like a little more of the characters and less of them at it.

The book doesn’t end on a cliff-hanger, but it leaves it open for the next book. If you like plenty of erotica then this is probably a book you’ll enjoy

REVIEW:
Another book from the “Dare” series.
Can be read without reading the others. Gemma has been Jack’s assistant for nearly 2 years, and has had to endure the endless line of women in and out of her bosses life and bed. Having to order flowers for dates. And to listen to him moan about “how clingy the last one was”Even though she knows what he like, it won’t  stop her from being attracted to him. But it’s a line she won’t cross, she loves her job, and if they did, then she’d lose it all !!!! Jack is still in the grieving process over the death of his wife.
Yes he hides behind the endless stream of women, and some might say, that he should respect himself a little more, and the memory of his wife, (but if you lose someone close to you, you lose yourself for a while)

They both have this attachment or attraction to one another, but as Gemma has never given Jack the slightest come in, he won’t cross the line. But that’s not to say he hasn’t thought about her ?

Until a late night working in the office together one thing leads to another…..

Now everything has changed this isn’t just about a one night stand it has the potential to be so much more.

Jack and Gemma’s relationship was a constant push and pull, and did have its turbulent moments. Do they find a way to get past Jack’s grief ? Does Gemma make Jack see that it’s ok to love another ?

The story of the billionaire falling for the meek assistant might sound a little cliched, and yes it was in places, but it was still a good little read.

I am holding my breath again. Is that how I’m going to get over this little hurdle? Suffocate myself? Is that even possible? I’m pretty sure we have some breathing trigger in our brains, but my brain is a bit pissy with me so maybe it would conveniently forget about the button.
I push air out consciously, quietly, and he takes his seat.
‘Anyway…’ I prompt impatiently.
His smile is a clicker. Is he laughing at me? Arrogant arsehole! That’s be just like him. See? That’s the problem! I know him. I’m not one of his other women. I know that is he as bastardy as he is sexy.
‘How did you sleep?’
I blink at him, my eyes wide. ‘You’ve already asked me that.’
‘You didn’t answer.’
I except a sign that speaks of anger. ‘Like I always do. Seriously, Jack. My desk is covered in paper. I have to get to work.’
‘I’m your work,’ he says with a shrug.
Insolent bastard.
He leans forward, and while his face is casual there is an urgency in the flecks of gold that fill his eyes. ‘Did you see him last night?’
I want to remind him of the salient fact I pointed out the night before. It’s not his damned business. But I’m not sure I can say that with such conviction now that I’ve tasted his mouth; now that I’ve been stunned by his desire.
Can I skirt around his question?
‘You’re my work? Okay, the thing is I have the New York guys waiting on contracts, you have a meeting in a week that I have to prepare for and Athens wants your input-which means my input- on a lease agreement. And I need to – ‘
‘Quiet.’
God! Don’t hate me, but when he’s bossy I love it. And he’s almost always bossy.
I glare at him across his desk; it’s best if he doesn’t know that this is just about my favourite version of him.’

Another book from the “Dare” series. Again this doesn’t have to be read in order, but I do think it’s part of a “new series” that the author has planned.

Evie is just trying to make a better life for herself and her baby brother. And by planning “pink parties” she gets to earn money and start a flourishing business.
She may have had a thing for bad boys but that’s in her past, what she wants is a “nice guy”, someone whose dependable, someone she can rely on.
But meeting Rev, that all goes out of the window ? but she won’t give up without a fight. She wants a quiet life, not one filled with bikers and trouble.

Jaxon “Rev” Brady was a Seal, but now is a member of the Hard Riders MC, doing his part to keep their territory free of gangs and drugs.
Jaxon has been sent to find out where Evie’s brother, (Rocker) is hanging out. Rocker is from a rival bike club and needs to answer some questions.
He’s got no time for parties and for “pink princesses” …..
But meeting Evie all that changes, she is feisty and won’t help Jaxon to find her brother. But she’s piqued his interest, and now he finds himself wanting her and wanting to protect her from the cartel.

Will getting involved with Eve prove to be a fatal distraction for Rev?
And can there ever be a future between a biker and a woman who is way out of his league? And will Evie learn that she can’t protect her brother forever ?

I have to be more cautious. From the rising volume of the squeals emanating from the backyard, cake consumption has concluded and the party will be wrapping up as the sugar highs hit, the early departers fleeing past my RV parked out front. Spotting the princess in an R-rated embrace with a biker would be bad for my business. You can’t be a dirty girl and host children’s birthday parties for a living. The moms will kill you. Fortunately, the moms aren’t mind readers. I’m only a party-perfect princess on the outside. Riding anywhere with Rev would be career suicide.
My bad voice promptly weighs in. But only if you get caught.
“I don’t do bikers.”
Something flashes across Rev’s face. “You don’t get hurt on my watch. I promise.”
“You’re not an ax murderer?”
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out the wallet attached to his belt by a silver chain. Silently, he flips it open and holds it out so I can read his driver’s license. There’s a military ID underneath it, too, the kind of card that gets you into Nellis Air Force Base.
“Your name isn’t Rev.” According to the State of Nevada’s laminated plastic, he’s one Jaxon Brady.
“Road name,” he says tersely.
I examine the license again. He’s also turning thirty-three in four weeks. I bet he won’t be booking a celebratory princess party.
“Wow.” I hand back his wallet. “Former navy?”
He nods, as if it’s no big deal. “SEAL. You’d be safe with me.”
He’s not big on talking. Or negotiating, asking, or sweet-talking. I’ve always trusted my instincts, though, and right now they’re on board with Rev Brady. Completely, totally, 100 percent in favor of getting on this man’s bike and riding off with him. Somewhere. Wherever he wants to go. He’s big and strong and tempting. He’s fought for our country and kept everyone safe.
How bad can he be?
The little voice in my head pipes right up. How bad do you want him to be?
That voice needs a gag.
“Think about it,” he says and then he turns and saunters toward his bike. I stand there, watching his ass the whole way, and wondering why I don’t mind his attitude. He’s scary as shit. He’s not Mr. White Picket Fence and he’s not promising happily ever after, but the man has a fantastic butt and I’m lonely. That’s all it is. I need to get out more, need to make a point of seeing someone.
Someone else.
Anyone else. There are absolutely, positively no bikers anywhere in my future.

REVIEW:  This is part of a new series “DARE” but as they are standalone’s, you can easily read it on it’s own.

Libby is an American business woman who has sworn off men, she likes her quiet life, she did the “loving life on the edge” but it didn’t turn out great for her.
So …… She’s in Europe on business to further her career, and when she meets Alex …… it’s instant attraction

Alex is a billionaire …… he loves his life, it’s a fast paced, adrenaline filled one. He’s use to getting WHO and WHAT he wants, but he’s about to meet his match.

Alex wants Libby’s help in launching a charity set up for his sister’s memory. Does he have an ulterior motive ? Hell yes, he’s fascinated with this American, (she wants him, but on her terms), and he loves the fact she won’t back down or give in.
He wants to show her the city and he wants her in his bed, but wanting and getting are two different things.

Its interesting to read the characters, as both have been successful in business, but as people, they are vulnerable and have been hurt in their own ways. And their pasts have a huge say in how they interact with others.

Yes, it’s predictable…… there are steamy scenes….. a little romance… a few laughs. And a part in the book that makes you wonder if that’s it for them (lizzy is on a week deadline, then she goes home)

But if you like a quick steamy read, then this one is for you.

The man occupying her thoughts swept up beside her on a cloud of freshly showered deliciousness, his hand taking a proprietorial hold of the back of her barstool and his smoky, heavy-lidded smile stripping her naked.
Alex.
‘Hi.’ Libby closed her slack-jawed mouth and swivelled to face him, turning her back on the stranger, never one to pass up a golden opportunity. She hated rudeness, but if Beer Breath was too stubborn or thick-skulled to take the hint…
Alex kept his stare on her, his smile genuine and warm enough to melt her underwear clean off, and then signalled the waiter with a flick of his wrist.
Libby sensed the moment when Beer Breath slinked away, and the hairs on the back of her neck settled—but only temporarily, because Alex hadn’t taken his eyes off her. In fact, he was looking at her as if he was seconds from devouring her whole.
She shivered, delicious tendrils snaking to all her erogenous zones. ‘What are you doing here?’ Libby took a slug of her previously untouched drink, the burn calming her enough to meet his bold stare with one of her own.
‘I came to invite you out for a late supper. I was on my way to Reception and then I spotted you here.’ His hand slid from the back of her stool, and he settled into the one next to her, passing his order to the waiter before returning his disconcerting focus to her.
She stared back, lost for words and missing the proximity of his hand on her chair. He was close enough that his warmth traversed the space between them, but far enough away that she battled her body’s urge to sway closer. And keep on swaying.
‘What?’ One corner of his mouth kicked up. ‘What kind of host would I be if I left you to fend for yourself on your first night in a strange city?’
She couldn’t help the snort that left her. ‘The non-stalker kind…?’
He took the jibe with a cocksure arch of one brow, sipping wine while his poised stare flicked over her face from feature to feature.
Libby flushed hot all over. The ‘stalker’ comment had been beneath her. He hadn’t once touched her, hadn’t bought her drink, hadn’t tried to grab her phone, hadn’t even chased away her unwanted admirer—he had simply given her the out she’d wanted. The rest was all her.
What was wrong with her? Rudeness to a generous host and influential employer? All because he’d awoken needs within her? Needs too long dormant. Needs she’d never had before. Needs threatening to overwhelm her in their intensity.
Hardly his fault.

And when she finds out that Simon thinks she’s selling company secrets, she’s upset

“So then more money will get you to stay,” he said dismissively, as if he’d closed a case. He tossed her crumpled-up resignation letter into the brass trash can sitting beside his desk.
Frustration—and not just with this conversation—overwhelmed her, overcoming her natural inclination to avoid confrontation, and she blurted out, “No!”
Working for him these past two years had increased her frustration because of all those damn fantasies he’d inspired.
“But you just said—”
“I took the job because I needed money,” she said. “I needed money then.”
His eyes narrowed more as he studied her face. “And you don’t need it now?”
“My reason for leaving has nothing to do with money,” she said. Had she not found another source of income, she would have been forced to stay, but he didn’t need to know that.
“So you do have a reason.”
He wasn’t the trial lawyer of their partnership, but he could have been. She felt like she was being cross-examined on the witness stand. And she didn’t enjoy it one bit. Quitting was not a crime.
“I don’t have to give you a reason.” At least she didn’t think she did.
Maybe she should have had a lawyer look at that employment contract before she’d written her resignation letter. But no matter how much she paid, no lawyer would be as good as Simon Kramer. He was the best.
And, according to his ex-lovers, not just at the law…
“Why don’t you want to tell me?” he asked, and he stepped closer now, so close that she could feel the heat of his body through his suit and her cardigan and skirt.
Heat flushed her body, making her skin tingle. She tried to step back but the desk stopped her, the hard wood pressing into the backs of her thighs as he nearly touched the front of her. Her breasts pushed against the front of the gray cardigan as she struggled for breath. She had never been this close to him before. It was more than unsettling. Her knees trembled and her already tripping pulse quickened even more.
“Because it’s personal,” she murmured. And they had never been anything but businesslike with each other, except in her dreams.
He leaned down, so close that his warm breath whispered across her lips as he asked, “Are you in love with me?”

Lady Gone Wicked by Elizabeth Bright – a Review

Lady Gone Wicked by Elizabeth Bright – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / BAM

Description:
Nicholas Eastwood is finally about to get everything he ever wanted. As a reward for his service to the Crown, he has been offered the title of marquess. All he has to do is stay scandal-free until the papers are signed. There’s just one problem: His ex-lover, presumed dead, is remarkably alive.

Adelaide Bursnell is determined to right her wrongs. She will be a dutiful daughter and loving sister. Most importantly, she must marry before her scandal catches up to her. Nicholas was once her ruin, but now he is determined to be her salvation. If he can find her a suitable husband, their shared past can stay buried.

But old temptations prove impossible to resist and scandal can never stay secret for long…

Review:

Although Lady Gone Wicked is considered book #2, in the Wicked Secrets series, you don’t have to read the first.  It does feature characters from the first book “Twice as Wicked” but it doesn’t really detract from the book.

Nicholas is a spy and soldier for the crown. But he’s a rogue and the black sheep of the family. And he’s finally come good, if he can stay out of trouble he will be given the title of “Marquess” and he will be able to hold his head up high in society again, but there is trouble coming round the corner……

Adelaide had the misfortune to fall in love with Nick and have his baby. She was then sent was to a convent in France by her parents to have her baby in secret (the shame of a child out of wedlock). But she disappeared and was thought to be dead for the last two years.

Adelaide has a twin sister called Alice. (Yes the same Alice from book 1). In Alice’s book, Alice came to avenge Adelaide’s death and downfall at Nicholas’s hand, and tried to kill him. Needless to say, all she did was fall for his “twin” brother. (Well ….. maybe she tried to shoot him a few times ?)

The two sisters are reunited and it becomes clear that Adelaide wants her past to disappear and to marry into a good family. But there are twists and turns that keep Adelaide and Nicholas bumping into each other.

Nicholas wants Adelaide to marry into a good family and will try to “help” her regain her good name. But with the heat simmering away between them, it’s only a matter of time before something explodes.

Lady Gone Wicked is a well written story, and again the characters come to life, and the secondary characters make you hope that they get stories too. A few laugh out loud moments, and a few moments where you almost reach for the tissues.

Drakon’s Past by N.J. Walters – a Review

Drakon’s Past by N.J. Walters – a Review

Drakon's PastAmazon / B&N / Kobo

Description:
Constance Owens has a gift for finding unique items in the most unlikely places, which comes in handy since she buys and sells artifacts and antiques for a living. When she purchases a set of four dragon statues, she has no idea just how unique they are, or that finding them will thrust her into a world of secret societies, men who think nothing of kidnapping and murder to get what they want, and dragon shifters. Nic hasn’t survived for four thousand years by letting his guard down, and he doesn’t trust anyone except his drakon brothers. The loneliness haunting him has been getting worse since all his brothers have found their mates. And when he finds the woman his drakon recognizes instantly as his fated mate, he doubts he’ll ever have what his brothers have, because it seems she’s involved with the secret society of hunters who have been hunting and capturing his kind for hundreds of years.

Review:

Drakon’s Past by N.J. Walters is the 4th book in her Blood of the Drakon series.

Constance has a special gift for finding unique treasures and antiques, this helps her

and her sister Abigail run an internet business selling items that they have brought.

And when four statues in the shape of dragons come into their hands …. they get more than they bargained for …..

Nic is a Drakon (A Dragon shapeshifter) who is thousands of years old. (We’ve met him in previous books).  Nic is a big antique collector and searches for stolen or “lost” Drakon artifacts he’s also a recluse, he is close to the “big sleep” (that’s when a Drakon loses interest in the world and slows his body and goes “to sleep”).  When he meets Constance, he realises that’s she’s his “fated one” ; he has to face the world and help her, but can he trust her ?

Constance feels there is something strange about the dragon statues and she calls an old friend to find her a buyer for the statues as quickly as possible.  But when her friend gets greedy and tries to sell to two buyers !!!! It all gets out of hand, and her sister pays the price !!!!

When Abigail gets abducted by one of the buyers (Dent),  Constance has no choice but to trust Nic to help her retrieve her sister. And Nic has to trust that Constance will not turn the statues over to Dent, (the bad guy through the stories) because that would cause a big catastrophe for all Drakon’s in the world. Will both be able to overcome their distrust of one another?

Just who can Constance trust? Who are the bad guys and who are the good? And then there is a big secret to uncover …..
.
It’s part of a series, but I feel you don’t need to read them in order. Plenty of action and a continual story (from previous books) and a well written story. Can’t wait to read more.

Saving the SheriffAmazon / B&N / Kobo

Description:
There’s a storm brewing…

The day his wife died, Sheriff Cash Hill discovered she was leaving him for another man, one she’d loved since before their marriage. How could the single dad ever trust another woman again? But when Georgia’s best friend, Holly, comes back to town, something about Holly’s sweet, sassy vulnerability has his protective instincts kicking in hard.

But Holly’s knowledge of Georgia’s past could rip a family apart. And she’s reluctant to go to the sexy…and single…sheriff, as he’s made it clear he wants nothing to do with her.

Both are faced with a choice…stay locked in the past or allow their reservations to be silenced by a passion hotter than Texas summer nights. Can they learn to trust their own hearts and each other?

Review:

Saving the Sheriff by Kadie Scott is the first book in her new The Hills of Texas series.

When Holly comes back to La Colina, she brings the weight of the past with her, and the secrets she kept for her best friend.  But she promised her best friend that she’d look out for her daughter, so Holly bites the bullet and tries to mend a few bridges with Cash.

Cash is the sheriff of La Colina, a widower and a parent of a little girl.  He doesn’t trust people too much, as the woman he loved was leaving him for someone else.  So when his dead wife’s best friend comes back wanting to see his daughter, he has a hard time not believing she didn’t know that his wife was planning to run away with her “one love”

We also find out that Holly had a secret crush on Cash in high school. But her Best friend got him first.  Yes we know they will get together, but the journey there was a twist and turn of mistrust and huge secrets, secrets that if found out will destroy both Cash and a little girl.

When the secrets come out, will Cash listen to Holly, or will he turn his back and walk away?  Yes he has to protect himself, but surely there has to be more than Holly is letting on.

I loved reading the Hill family interact (hoping we get a few stories 🙂 with Cash.   Kadie Scott’s ….. SAVING THE SHERIFF is a story of secrets, lies, love and loss.

Not only doesn’t the frosty pilot have the ground game to keep up with his seasoned group, she’s a potential distraction with all those gorgeous blond curls of hers—and she might be just like her brother, whose foolhardiness got his men killed.

Review:

War Games by Jess Anastasi is the fourth book in the Valiant Knox series.
They can be read as separate books, but I found it easier to read them in order. As there is a lot of background stories. And for the author to include it in every book would be a little page consuming.

In a previous book the tension between Cameron and Theresa (Bren) caught my attention, so I was eager to see how they get past their animosity for each other.
For the past decade, both Bren and Cameron have kept their distances from each other. Both have their pride and neither will listen to the other. That is until a missing pilot brings them together, and they have to learn to trust one another, and from there they learn about the past and how they can move forward.

Cameron lost a team of soldiers under his command due to Bren’s brother (and as far as he is concerned, she’s a liability just like her brother).  I found Cameron a complex person, although overbearing, he is loyal and there is nothing he won’t do for his men.

Bren has had to work hard for her place in this world, her brother was her family and she totally blames Cameron for his death. She loves her job and won’t let one of her own become a prisoner.  She fears that the pilot will be tortured or worse, so she’ll suck it up and work with Cameron (but that doesn’t she mean she’ll like it)

Bren finds Cameron overbearing and not at all understanding of her predicament, one of her pilots is missing……and she’s going on the mission, whether he likes it or not !! (And it’s definitely a not)

This is a perfect action packed thriller.  I love reading this series, as the author puts you right in the action, and you can almost imagine the fight scenes.  Jess Anastasi writes the characters so well, that I have no problem conjuring them up in my mind, and all the past friendships and relationships in the previous books are the same. The series flows really well into the next book and it was nice catching up with the series.

Review:

To Have and To Howl by A.E. Jones is another great book in her fun Paranormal Wedding Planners series.

Julia is a woman on a mission……Her husband had been murdered and, as an attorney, she had a duty to see his killer brought to justice. But in most cases, that’s not always that simple, the killer ( the leader of a gang) had friends, and they helped him to escape, and now they want Julia !!!!

Jack Dawson has to protect Julia from the evil that is chasing her.  But he has a secret (keeps it hidden from his werewolf community and his twin brother) and he feels very confused by his feelings toward Julia. And this secret if it comes out ……  could change his future and not for the better. He just needs more time to work it all out. Time he might not have.

The cast of characters from previous books were in here and they were  as hilarious as usual. And the new group of characters in this book, they just added to the growing family of people you just want to read more of.

The wedding was hilarious couldn’t help but laugh through the whole scene ? As usual the A.E. Jones draws you in with such a descriptive narrative.

So to be honest,I think  you’d have to read them in order (you could just read this one, but I think you’ll get more enjoyment and not so much confusion)

I really can’t wait for the next Paranormal Wedding Planners book.

Review :

With the supernatural world reeling from Devon and Alex’s recent marriage (In Sickness and in Elf – Book 1), along comes From This Fae Forward (Book 2) a great page turner by A.E. Jones.  I had moments where I couldn’t put the book down. I had already been hooked with book 1, with book 2 I was reeled back in until the last page.

The love then turned to hate relationship both these nymphs (woodland nymph and sea nymph) had for each other. A wonderful page turner.

Why had the love they had for each other turn to hate. It was intense in the first book, so to find out more about them, put a lot into perspective.

Sheila is a feisty wood nymph and she lives outside her clan, banished she has made her own way in the (human) world. She makes a living as a fitness instructor and enjoys it, but her father decides on a political marriage  and guess who her fiancé is …..

Sea Nymph Charlie Is hotness with a capital HOT !!!!  Tall blonde and charming, this nymph never seems to be able settle for long. But he is a good man, and when he finds out what’s going on, he warns Sheila.

When forced to play fiancé’s the lines begin to blur. Add the attraction they have for each other it makes for an interesting read. And danger lurks in every corner, so who is the trouble maker and why target Sheila ?

Can the 2 of them overcome centuries of hatred between their clans to gain true love?  You need to read this book to find out.
