REVIEW:GUARDIAN FALLING is the second instalment in the contemporary adult ETERNAL SINS MC paranormal, fantasy ,romance series focusing on a group of supernatural beings, many of whom are the first of their kinds, or the only survivors of a species long thought extinct. This is Eternal Sins MC VP and second in command, two hundred year old Lycan Rogue aka Lucien, and twenty-three year old waitress Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Harris’s story line.

Told from several first person perspectives including Rogue, Charlotte, Crave, Hex, Scorch, and Valeria) GUARDIAN FALLING follows in the wake of the attack on our story line heroine, turned vampire against her will, and a woman who is struggling with what she had become. Abandoned by her make, with Rogue as her guide, our couple have seven days to get Charlie’s blood lust under control but as the days turn into weeks, someone else is amassing an army of newborns aka scions, an army set to march in the Eternal Sins MC.

The world building focuses on the ‘taming’ of our story line heroine, a woman who has seven days to control the urges but a woman who is the draw, the thread, the potential weapon to be used against the Eternal Sins MC.

The relationship between Charlotte and Rogue begins as a rescue, of a sorts but both know immediately the other is their fated mate. Charlotte was born human but is quick to understand what is happening and why; Rogue refuses to give up on the only woman that has called to his heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of powerful, magical and supernatural secondary and supporting characters, many of whom are based in Greek Mythology. When Draven left the original Coven of Crows, he set up his own family of supernatural creatures. We are re-introduced to club president Crave aka Draven, and his mate blood Witch Sloane Hale, SAA Scorch aka Ash (Dragon), Enforcer Dread aka Damon (origins unknown, club Secretary Hex aka Jasper (Warlock), Treasurer Hades aka Kane (Necromancer), Spiritual guide Oracle aka Emerys (Phoenix), road captain Grizz aka Magnus (Bear Shifter), and prospect Ronan (Leprechaun), and Jet; club girls Eden, Seraphine and Reyna, who have powers of their own. Scorch’s story line is next.

GUARDIAN FALLING is a story of power and control, revenge and betrayal, madness and lust, family and friendships, relationships and alliances. The character driven premise is dramatic, dark, edgy and captivating; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and larger than life .

Elena Harper is completely unaware of Alessandro’s criminal lifestyle, and in this, her willingness to accept everything is a complication Alessandro struggles to accept but the fight for territory has become personal, targeting Elena in a bid for control.

The world building follows Alessandro and his men as they struggle to protect the woman with whom our hero is falling in love. Alessandro is determined to protect our story line heroine, a woman who is willing to accept everything but the secrets and lies.

The relationship between Alessandro and Elena is one of mutual attraction but Alesssandro knows that to fall for Elena mean placing our heroine in the direct line of fire. Struggling to stay away, Alessandro is unwilling to walk away until it is too late. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Alessandro’s second in command Marco, a man who struggles with Elena’s place in our hero’s life.

I do have one observation, and I don’t know if it has been corrected but the blurb states Alessandro De Lucas is New York’s most feared crime boss, yet the entire story line takes place in Seattle.

There is a large and diverse cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including several members of the RBMC many of whom we have met in the previous instalments.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Raphael and Sophia) GRAVEYARD PROMISES follows the arranged marriage between our story line couple. Approximately one year earlier, Raphael ‘The Reaper’ Costa met our story line heroine but had no idea as to her identity. Fast forward one year, at the Chavez’ annual Halloween party, Raphael will come face to face with the woman he has never forgot, and will quickly discover that our heroine is part of the Cartel merger, joining his family with the Chavez. Sophia struggles with the arranged marriage to Raphael The Reaper but when the Bratva take aim, our couple must work together to save the people they love.

The world building is fast and furious as our couple go from zero to sixty within a matter of hours. Raphael is determined to protect the woman to whom he is married but never expected to fall in love with our story line heroine. Someone is taking aim at the Chavez and Costa cartels, and our couple are caught in the direct line of fire, pawns in their fathers’s fight for control

The relationship between Raphael and Sophia begins as an accidental meeting one year before but neither is aware of one another’s identity. The annual Chavez Halloween celebration will bring our couple together, and within minutes, discover they are to be married for the sake of power. There are no $ex scenes.

The secondary and supporting characters are energetic and sometimes questionable. We are introduced to Sophia’s father Hector Chavez, her brother Antonio, and her best friend Maria; Raphael’s brother Gabriel, and their father.

GRAVEYARD PROMISES is a quick read; a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and honor, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is edgy and dramatic; the romance is limited; the characters are desperate and determined. GRAVEYARD PROMISES ends on a HEA for now, there story line conflict has yet to be resolved.
