REVIEW:The second installment in the Laurel Springs Fish & Wildlife series, Dakota by Laramie Briscoe is a fast-paced, reverse age gap, small-town romance readers are sure to love. As always, I do recommend reading a series in order, but each book can be read as a standalone in the interconnected world.

Dakota has been waiting for the girl next store for what feels like his whole life. Molly Harrison is his best friend’s older sister, heir to the Harrison law enforcement legacy and secret friends with benefits. Dakota wants Molly for keeps, but she has claimed to never settle for someone in the same field as her family. As a F&W officer, Dakota falls into that unsafe space, no matter how he makes her feel. They keep their situationship secret, both because of Molly’s claim of no law enforcement dating, and the fact that it may just blow their relationship with Levi. Dakota is willing to give Molly the space she needs, but he’ll never give up on her.

This series reminds me of another author that I really enjoy reading, so that’s a bonus in my book. Dakota and Molly were such a comfort read for me, the cozy enjoyment, the peace a book can give to a chaotic mind. Dakota was there for Molly, point blank, no questions asked. It’s rare to find that level of positive encouragement and support in the fictional world, let alone the real world, but it’s just what he did for Molly. Their relationship wasn’t easy, but it worked for them, and made for a good read. The storyline is easy to keep up with, the spice at a good level for the main leads and having an appearance from book one character was a nice touch. I hope each of the siblings get a book, and the Laurel Spring series continues.

REVIEW:The first book in a fantastic new series, Levi starts us out with the Laurel Springs Fish & Wildlife by Laramie Briscoe. No major trigger warnings, but as always check for your own mental well being.

This book is a kind of throwback as Levi is the son of Mason from the Moonshine Task Force series. The whole of the family are police in one manner or another, and Levi takes up the reins as well, just in a different branch. He is Fish & Wildlife, hence the name. And there the story begins. Levi and Magnolia are our main leads, they share a history together that makes their chemistry flow easy and their romance story almost feel foretold. Levi has had a crush on Magnolia since his early teen years, he’s spent time with her growing up as she is his sister’s best friend. Magnolia is in the throes of a horrible divorce from a man that isn’t worth her time, let alone her love. Here is where the story really starts to unfold. Levi and Magnolia slowly form a new bond of friendship and then love from their shared past and their new kindled love and protection of one another.

Levi and Magnolia were such a good read. As a long time fan of the author I enjoy the way her characters bond with one another and the growth they experience when they finally feel safe to do so. For fans of Laurel Springs and the characters we have come to love so much, this is a great addition to an ever growing world. I look forward to seeing what the author has in store for the rest of the series.

REVIEW:I’ve consumed many books by Laramie Briscoe, but Somethin’ Fierce lives up to its name. Be mindful of the triggers warnings with this book, while the characters are amazing, there are many things that could possibly trigger readers.

Paisley and Chase meet when both of them are at the end of their robes, both have lost so much and both need something to intervene in their life to save them. When Paisley is drowning in the suffering she feels, she calls 911 and Chase rushes to find her and talk her off the edge. This is where their story begins. Chase convinces Paisley to return home with him and then together they get stranded due to an oncoming storm. As time slowly ticks by, they learn that they must move on from their past and look towards the future together. The only catch? Neither of them knows where to start.

These characters were very relatable, Chase is a closed off alpha in so many ways. While he may still be battling his own demons, he makes Paisley a priority. Their relationship is slow built, both again still healing from trauma, but it’s their slow burn understanding that makes the book feel as emotionally draining as it is. They both have suffered such tragedy, but together they find a way to move forward and love again. Truly moving story.

REVIEW:Laramie Briscoe is back at it again with the next installment in The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team. As always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the most of the story, but each individual book can be read as a standalone.

Madden is new to the Team and eager to prove himself, and his furry K-9 partner; Donut. A chance encounter at the local school brings Becca into his life, the missing piece he didn’t know he needed. Both Madden and Becca work for LSERT, so both are continuously busy, but when they meet their attraction is pliable. I think the connection between these two worked so well because of their mutual affection for Becca’s nephew Mick. Madden and Mick were raised by similar fathers (not so good ones) and because of this they share a deep bond.

Madden is a fast paced, found family romance with just the right touch of spice and drama for all readers to enjoy. Overall I did enjoy the story, I do wish it had a little more sustenance to it, more time to flush out the characters and a little more umpf to the beginning to get it going. Overall however, I really, really enjoy the LSERT series and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

REVIEW:Laramie Briscoe has dropped another knockout! The Air I Breathe is a spicy celebrity, sports romance filled with angst, drama and second chances.

Willa is a pop-star, think T-Swift on overload if that’s possible, she does what she does and lives her life wild and free like she has always wanted to. Music is in her blood and the connection with it and her fans means everything to her. However, with every great song-writer there comes a past attached to it, and normally one with many stories. With her past, Willa has become cautious and guarded, agreeing to the type of meet up she does is out of character for her, but one she hopes will be a good thing.

Little does she know, it’s going to turn her whole life topseturvey.

Willa and Blake (who is such a sweetheart by the way!) are a match made in music heaven! This book was a kick in the pants with the laughter, and for once I can really say that listening to a killer music playlist while reading really did justice to the book. Willa and Blake try to manage a relationship in the public eye, and slowly start to realize how difficult it really can be. Everyone wants so much from them, their time, energy, music, love, they both love who they are and after some serious soul searching decide to make a true go at their relationship.

Blake and Willa had such great chemistry and banter and I think that is what had me coming back for more with each page. The Air I Breathe is a very happy go lucky, fluff book that had me grinning like an idiot while I was reading and frankly it was just happy, and sometimes that is all a reader wants in a book.

REVIEW:The next installment in the Broken Falls saga; Barrett continues the journey. This book is all about the small town, age gap, second chance romance that sets the pages aflame with their chemistry. As always it’s recommended to read the series in order to get the most out of the story and characters, but each book can be read as a standalone.

Gabby and Barrett are a hoot to read! Gabby is a decade older than Barrett, and living life as a newly divorced woman, Barrett is a younger guy planning his life with his buddies. How these two mesh, I don’t know, but boy oh boy do they. They have a history together and I think that and their age gap makes the most out of the plot of the story. Nonetheless, the story is quick and easy to keep up for the reader.

If you’re looking for something quick, spicy and fun, this is the book for you. Ms. Author has a wonderful talent at world building, her characters are fun and memorable, and the story is entertaining. You can’t ask for more in any book.
