ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 4, 2026

My father orders me to seduce a man most people are too afraid to even look at.
Georgi Torrisi. Head of the Torrisi family and a Cosa Nostra Capo. A brutal and powerful man who rules his world with violence and absolute control.

And I’m supposed to make him want me. Turns out my father thinks he can use Georgi to get to Atanas Petkov, our family’s sworn enemy. If Atanas continues to grow in power with Georgi’s help, it will mean the end of my father’s reign of terror, and I’m the bait meant to make one of the most dangerous men in New York lower his guard.

Do I have a choice? No.

Hours later, Georgi Torrisi is chained in my father’s basement while the man I helped betray is beaten and tortured. My already messed-up life takes a turn for the worse, because I didn’t expect the guilt. I didn’t expect the way his eyes still burn when he looks at me.

And I definitely didn’t expect myself to unlock the chains and set him free.

The moment Georgi walks out of that basement, he turns into a violent monster that’s out for revenge. Once the hallways of my family home are painted red, he takes my daughter and me with him. There’s no running. No hiding.

And now all I can do is pray I survive being at the mercy of the man I betrayed.

REVIEW: Possesssive Enemy is book 8 in the Kings of Mafia Series, by Michelle Heard. While this book is considered a stand alone, reading the other books in this series interconnects the characters and gives you a better understanding of the world built. This book also has an extensive list of trigger warnings so I would definitely take heed.

In the book we have Nina Pavlova – daughter of Boris Pavlov – head of the Bulgarian Crime Family. Nina is 27 and under her fathers rule. What her father says goes. While using her daughter Simi as leverage, her father has Nina do his bidding so that she is allowed to see Simi for two hours each day. Her father told her ahe would seduce a man, Georgi Torrisi, 35, one of the heads Cosa Nostra.

She is to seduce him, get him outside his hotel so they can kidnap him and beat him until they can get the information they need from him.

Georgi Torrisi is in Nina’s basement! Right next to her bedroom. She is ordered by her father to tend to Georgi’s wounds each time they beat him. In doing so Georgi gets to see the vile way Nina is trwated by her father and thr man her father allowed to rape her – Anton.
With each disgusting behavior to Nina, Georgi falls harder and harder for her.
Nina does everything her father asks just to keep her daughter alive. And to be able to see her.
But it all becomes to much and Nina frees Georgi and all hell breaks loose.
Just as she frees him he is able to contact his family who have been looking for him.
Once his family arrives – Georgi is hell bent on wreaking havoc on Nina’s father and his guards for how they have treated her. When his family storm the house he takes Nina and Simi with him. But Nina believes she is going to be killed as revenge for her father. Georgi wants nothing more than to take care of her and keep her and Simi safe. What will it take for Nina to finally allow her true feelings for Georgi to come to the surface? Will she ever be able to trust her fathers sworn enemies? Will Georgi become Nina’s prince that saved her?

I absolutely loved the dynamic of the main characters of this book and little Simi was a bonus I didn’t know I needed!

I love how quickly Georgi felt protective of both of them and pray that her father and Anton get what they deserve.

Wonderful series! Highly recommend mafia romance.

REVIEW:DUCHESS OF DEBITS is the third instalment in Victoria Jayne’s contemporary, adult DIXIE MAFIA erotic, crime world romance series. This is fifty-eight year old, Irish syndicate leader Niall Doherty, and thirty two year old accountant Amy Kirk’s story line. DUCHESS OF DEBITS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Niall and Amy) DUCHESS OF DEBITS follows in the wake of the abduction of our story line heroine. Having witnessed the attempted murder of her cousin Eddie, Amy finds herself the unwanted captive of the Irish Syndicate. Held hostage as Niall Doherty struggles in the face of what to do, Amy offers up an idea, an idea that could benefit the Dixie Mafia, and the Irish Syndicate but all does not go according to plan when the Bratva get involved, and her family demand retribution for the shooting of her cousin.

The world building is fast and furious as Amy finds herself a prisoner of the man with whom she will fall in love. Niall is battling between head and heart, tired of the fighting and the war between crime world factions, and in this, our hero is willing to sacrifice for the woman with whom he is falling in love.

The relationship between Amy and Niall begins as captive and jailer but an accidental jailer in the wake of Amy witnessing a crime. Niall is struggling with his attraction to a woman twenty-five years younger, a woman who is willing to make a deal to save all of their lives. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include both Amy and Niall’s extended families We are introduced to Niall’s sons Aidan and Eoin; Niall’s cousin James, as well as Amy’s father Michael, and her cousins Paul and Eddie, and brother Mikey and Sam.

DUCHESS OF DEBITS is a story of power and control, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is character driven, entertaining and dramatic but the buildup is perplexing, and I felt there was too much information missing ; the age-gap romance is limited but subtle, yet the developing relationship is somewhat thorny- Niall’s hot and cold was disconcerting; the characters are desperate and determined.

…our engagement ring burning a hole in my pocket.

In her opinion, spring break with her sisters in Mexico sounds like a good time.

But because I was too late to kidnap them from the airport, we’re flying into the epicenter of an underworld war.

No matter what she thinks, her ties to the Irish Mob put her in danger.

With only my alliances to keep us safe, Kitty’s about to learn what it means to be with the Capo of the Sicilian mafia.

And by the end of spring break, my ring will be on her finger.

REVIEW: THE CAPO is the fifth instalment in Serena Akeroyd’s contemporary, adult THE VALENTINI FAMILY erotic, Mafia romance series, and part one of The Salvation Duet focusing on Capo Custanzu ‘Stan’ Valentini, and physician’s assistant / O’Donnelly Irish Mob adjacent Catriona ‘Kitty’ Frazier’. THE CAPO can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion. There is mention and cameo’s of characters from the author’s FIVE POINTS MOB series, CONOR AND STAR series, and the DARK AND DIRTY SINNERS MC series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Stan and Kitty) THE CAPO follows in the aftermath of a near fatal drug reaction for our story line hero. Stan thought he saw an Angel, and upon his release would go in search of the woman he would one day call his own but Kitty’s connections to the Irish mob would make things a little more difficult, and when Kitty organized some well deserved time-off with her younger sisters, she had no idea she would come face to face with our story line hero. Mexico was not Stan’s first choice for a vacation but Stan needed to keep tabs on the woman that called to his heart but Mexico is a hot-bed of cartel activity, and an encroaching war with the Albanian mob will catch Kitty and Stan in the crossfire, placing a target on their backs.

The world building is detailed and complex as events from the past play heavily into the current timeline, therefore a working knowledge of the series may be necessary. Both Stan and Kitty’s journey into Cancun Mexico has been kept on the down low but frenemies, the Cartel and MC are well aware of Stan and Kitty’s arrival in their cities, and the fall-out is about affect them all.

The relationship between Stan and Kitty is one of immediate attraction, one in which Stan is determined to claim Kitty as his own. Having manipulated the situation at his own expense, Stan becomes guardian and protector of our story line heroine but someone else is always waiting to take them down. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar, determined, and powerful secondary and supporting characters many of whom we met in the previous instalments and interconnected series. We are introduced to the head of the cartel Miguel Martinez and his deadly wife Eva, as well as Kitty’s sisters Neev and Roisin. The requisite evil has many faces.

THE CAPO is a story of power and control, secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dark, dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate, decisive and determined. THE CAPO ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

There is mention and cameo’s of characters from the author’s FIVE POINTS MOB series, THE FORGOTTEN BOYS series, CONOR AND STAR duet, and the DARK AND DIRTY SINNERS MC series, therefore I recommend having a working knowledge of the author’s series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers. If you have not read THE CAPO, there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Stan and Kitty) THE ANGEL picks up after the events of THE CAPO in which our couple had been betrayed. But after Kitty’s rescue and recovery, the war with the Albanian mob has become personal, and betrayal comes from within. With the Cartel and the Bratva targeted as well, the Sicilians and the Irish mobs join forces to end the war no one wanted, a war that goes to the top political office.

The world building once again is detailed and multi-layered as the author brings together many of the characters from her interconnected series. Some once long thought dead are alive, while others are not whom they claim to be. Secrets are revealed, lies a meant to destroy, as our couple must come to terms with what is happening and why.

The relationship between Kitty and Stan continues to be provocative and intense but Stan is hoping for something more, and in doing so, places a target on our heroine’s back. The $ex scenes continues to provocative and intense.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters, many of whom we met in the previous series and instalments. Fast forward to present day, Maksim is determined to right his father’s wrongs, targeting speech pathologist Dr. Sarah Whitfield, a woman whose sexual kinks run close to his own but as Sarah struggled with Maksim’s unusual demands, it is The Beast that draws Sarah like a moth to a flame, a beast of a man what is more familiar than she could have ever imagined.

The world building focuses on Maksim’s struggle with speech therapy, rewiring his brain and his speech patterns in an effort to take back control what was his all along but as Maksim works behind the scenes, the family dynamics spin out of control as the hierarchy of power continues to transform

The relationship between Sarah and Maksim begins as an abduction. Maksim needs Sarah to help relearn and revise his method of speech but goes about asking for help in all the wrong ways. Sarah will find herself falling for a man she will discover is the Bratva heir but a man who hides behind a mask to get want he wants. The $ex scenes are intimate, provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, dangerous and energetic secondary and supporting characters with several cameo appearances from the author’s The Irish Rogue series including Maxsim’s sister Mila and her future husband Kellan (Beautiful Trauma), as Maksim’s other siblings Kira, Dima, Lev and Aleks, and their brutal father Danill Korolov. The requisite evil has many faces.

MAKSIM is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dark, dramatic and edgy; the romance is fated; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.
