ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 3, 2026
Trace Coulter has been in love with Lena Hartwell since high school.
The problem? She dated his brother for a year, blamed Trace when it all fell apart, and hasn’t spoken to him since. Now he needs a fake girlfriend to salvage his NHL draft prospects, and Lena is the only woman who won’t fall for his family name or his pretty face. She’s also the one woman he swore he’d never touch.
When Lena agrees to the arrangement in exchange for help with her mother’s medical bills, she expects awkward hand-holding and a few staged photos. What she doesn’t expect is the way Trace still looks at her like she’s the only person in the room. Or the way his touch ignites feelings she’s spent three years trying to bury. But when his brother discovers their arrangement, the truth threatens to destroy everything they’ve built. Can Trace prove his feelings are real before Lena walks away for good?
Find out in Pucking Irresistible, a steamy college hockey romance featuring forbidden attraction, fake dating that becomes all too real, and a hero who’s loved her from afar for far too long.

REVIEW:PUCKING IRRESISTIBLE is the first instalment in Nana Malone’s contemporary, new adult PLAYERS LEGACY erotic, romance series, a second generation spin off from the author’s THE PLAYERS series. This is college hockey star Trace Coulter, and Lena Hartwell’s story line. Trace and his brother Trevor are the sons of Fox and Sasha Coulter (FOX / The Players #4).
Told from dual first person perspectives (Trace and Lena) PUCKING IRRESISTIBLE follows the fake relationship between college hockey star Trace Coulter, and Lena Hartwell. Trace Coulter has been in love with his ‘former’ best friend Lena Hartwell for as long as he can remember but Lena dated Trace’s brother Trevor, and Trace was forced to betray the woman he loved. Fast forward to present day, Trace’s brother Trevor is acting out, affecting Trace’s chances at the big leagues, and Trace has been tasked by his agent to become the man he should have been all along. Trace needs a girlfriend, and the only woman he has ever loved, is a woman he betrayed years before. Desperate for help, Trace offers Lena anything she wants, and in return Lena must pretend to be in love with our story line hero.
The world building focuses on Trace’s determination to prove he is the better man. Trace had never stopped loving Lena but his brother’s actions often caught Trace in the direct line of fire, and the fall-out affected Trace’s relationship with our story line heroine. The relationship between Trace and Lena is one of second chances, of a sorts, a friends to frenemies to lovers relationship in which the truth may push Lena out of his life. the $ex scenes are limited but intimate and provocative. I will add I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word, although used only once, more for shock value than anything else.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and charismatic secondary and supporting characters including several of Trace’s roommates and teammates: Marcus, Ryder, Waylon, as well as Trace’s brother Trevor.
PUCKING IRRESISTIBLE is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and forgiveness, family and relationships, friendships and love. The character driven premise is emotional and edgy; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are desperate and determined.

USA Today bestseller Nana Malone’s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she “borrowed” from her cousin.
It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She’s been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Nana works out her drama, passion, and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.
