REVIEW: SCANDAL is the tenth and final instalment in Elizabeth Knox’s contemporary, adult RAIDERS OF VALHALLA MC: NEW BLOOD dark, erotic, MC romance series, a spin off set in the RAIDERS OF VALHALLA MC world co-authored by Elizabeth Knox and EC Land. This is Irish Brotherhood protector RJ Malone, and twenty six year old, fashion designer and MC princes Dalla’s story line. SCANDAL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Dalla is the daughter of Club president Rune and Fern, and sister of Revna Volkov(Sadistic 4). For fans of the authors, there is a slight cross over with The Mackenzies series.

Told from dual first person perspectives ( Dalla and RJ) SCANDAL follows in the wake of the arrival in Ireland of our story line heroine. Dalla is a fashion designer whose designs have caught the eye of Greer MacKenzie, who runs a fashion empire out of Ireland. A fashion show, a shoot out, and a personal bodyguard find Dalla on a plane back to Florida, where she will find herself with twenty-four hour protection in the guise of Irish Brotherhood protector RJ Malone. RJ Malone believes himself a monster but from their very first introduction, RJ knows that Dalla is more than a job but the woman with whom our hero will fall in love, and protecting Dalla has become more difficult when RJ discovers a years long vendetta has placed a target on our heroine’s back.

The world building crosses the globe as the crime world, MC and human trafficking cross a dangerous path of power and control. Dalla will be caught in the middle of a potential underworld war, and the sins of the past take aim at our story line heroine.

The relationship between Dalla and RJ begins acrimoniously but RJ has been assigned to protect the woman with whom he will fall in love, a woman that stirs something RJ thought long dead and gone. Dalla’s attraction to RJ is immediate and intense but someone is hunting our heroine, who is often TSTL in the face of danger and death. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting including many members of the Raiders of Valhalla MC, their families, and prospects, as well as the return of Dalla’s parents Runes and Fern, and her sister Revna and her husband Doran Volkov.Several of the characters will cross over with the author’s new series : RAIDERS OF VALHALLA MC: Prospects.

SCANDAL is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and reprisal, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is edgy and dramatic; the romance is subtle; the characters are determined and charismatic.

As the MC goes in search of a child trafficking ring, Ingrid finds herself targeted in the name of vengeance and power. Refusing to let Ingrid wallow in self-pity, Gunnar takes control, promising forever but forever may not be on our hero’s agenda.

The world building follows several interconnected paths as the MC go in search of those unable to protect themselves but the closer to uncovering the people involved, Gunnar and Ingrid find themselves targets, fighting for their lives.

The relationship between Ingrid and Gunnar is a best friends to lovers but Ingrid battles between head and heart, believing she is unworthy of her own happily ever after. Reinforced by those she once thought of as friends. Having been thrown to side too many times, Ingrid continues to have issues of trust, including trust in the man who promised forever. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is another large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Ingrid’s parents VP Fenrir and Charm , and Gunnar’s parents Vail and Vanir. The requisite evil has many faces.

MORBID is a story of betrayal and vengeance, dysfunctional and critical friendships, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The characters driven premise is dramatic, dark and edgy; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are struggling, healing , determined and desperate.

REVIEW: SINFUL is the eighth instalment in Elizabeth Knox’s contemporary, adult RAIDERS OF VALHALLA MC: NEW BLOOD erotic, MC romance, a second generation series set in the RAIDERS OF VALHALLA MC co-authored by Elizabeth Knox and EC Land. This is thirty-three year old, Texas nomad Bravos, and club princess, street racer Helle’s story line. SINFUL can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout. Helle is the daughter of Ivar and Starla (SAVAGE #10). SINFUL advances the series approximately three years after the events of book seven MISERY.

There is large ensemble cast of diverse and varied secondary and supporting characters from both the REAPER’S REJECTS MC AND RAIDERS OF VALHALLA MC series, as well as the introduction of the author’s new SHOTGUN SAINTS MC. Several characters cross over for cohesion and familiarity.

The relationship between Elfe and Oskar begins as a ‘secret assignment’ when Oskar is tasked with protecting the woman with whom he will fall in love. Elfe is struggling in the weeks and months following the attack, and often feels threatened by the people around her. Oskar never thought he would fall in love with our story line heroine but seven months of watching and protecting pull Oskar towards the woman that calls to his heart. There is a large ensemble cast of energetic and determined secondary and supporting characters including several generational members of the Raiders of Valhalla MC including Elfe’s parents Ivar and Starla, and her sister Helle; Oskar’s parents Fenrir and Charm; and a ghost from the past that refuses to stay down.

This is Bratva heir Doran Volkov, and MC princess / law student Revna’s story line. SADISTIC can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion. SADISTIC takes place approximately five years after the events of book three MORTIFY.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Revna and Doran) SADISTIC focuses on the arranged marriage between our story line couple. Five years earlier, in return for a favor, Revna was promised in marriage to the heir to the Bratva Doran Volkov but our heroine struggled in the face of potential betrayal, all the while having no idea that what to expect from a man she believed could destroy her life. Five years of waiting, two weeks to prepare, and our couple are caught in the middle of a potential Mafia war. Determined to remain independent, Revna struggles with her future, a future Doran is willing to accept in return.

The world building follows the preparations for a wedding, and the fall-out of a friendship, years in the making. Revna battles between head and heart with her attraction to Doran, while Doran knows that Revna is the only woman he will ever love but someone else is taking aim, and Revna is about to have a target on her back.

We are introduced to Doran’s parents Greer and Aleksandr Volkov (Corrupted Love: The Mackenzies 2), his sister Rhiannon; Revna’s twin Dalla, and their parents Fern and Raiders of Valhalla MC president Erik aka Runes (Sinister #2 by EC Land); Doran’s right hand man Mikhail; Cartel head Bembe Reyes; and Revna’s ex Njal. The requisite evil has many faces.

SADISTIC is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, mental illness and struggle, secrets and lies, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and dynamic.

Meanwhile, the MC continues to struggle with a man known as the Patriot, a man whose organization is involved in human trafficking and distribution of drugs, drugs that are aimed at the innocent and young but as the Raiders of Valhalla begin to search for the people responsible, the finger is pointed back at members of the MC.

The world building focuses on the growing relationship between Regnor and Everly as they struggle to keep the truth hidden from our heroine’s father. Everly has been declared off-limits for all of her life but Regnor is about to claim Everly as his own in the hopes of protecting the woman he loves. As the MC goes on the hunt for the people trafficking in both humans and drugs, a familiar face is about to declare open season on everyone involved.

The relationship between Regnor and Everly is a friends to lovers that escalates quickly as Regnor needs to prove he is worthy of our story line heroine. In an effort to to protect Everly, Regnor must stand up to Kraken, in the face of the declaration that Everly is off-limits. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of familiar, energetic and determined secondary and supporting characters including the members of the Raiders of Valhalla MC and their significant others, as well as several characters from the author’s The Mackenzies including Liam Mackenzie.

MORTIFY is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and engaging; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and stubborn.
