REVIEW:YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION by Rebel Rose is a contemporary, adult, dark, erotic, stalker romance focusing on former US Green Beret, thirty-five year old, Bastien Montclaire, and thirty-three year old, Assistant District Attorney Laurette Devereux.

Told from dual first person perspectives YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION follows the stalker relationship between our story line couple. In the wake of betrayal by her long time boyfriend, ADA Laurette Devereux goes out for drinks with her friends, only to be overheard, wishing for a man who is obsessive about his woman, and she is about to discover there is a man who is obsessive and more. Bastien Montclaire is a man who lives on the edge, often crossing back and forth between the light and the dark, and in this, Bastien is determined to take Laurette on a journey from which there will be no return but Laurette’s current case load comes with a darkness only Bastien understands, and in this, our hero is determined to protect the woman with whom he will fall in love.

The world building focuses on the unconventional lifestyle and relationships of Bastien Montclaire. Bastien is a man who works in the shadows, and in this, he is determined to right the wrongs in defense of those unable to defend themselves. As Laurette’s upcoming case begins to spiral out of control, Bastien finds himself guardian and protector of a woman who is determined to protect herself.

The relationship between Bastien and Laurette is unique and eccentric. Bastien overheard Laurette’s desire to be needed, to be desired, and in this, Bastien takes aim at our story line heroine but Bastien is much more than he appears to be, hiding in the shadows, taking aim at those who live in the shadows, as well. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

The secondary and supporting characters are often questionable, unique and dynamic. We are introduced to Laurette’s father Judge Henri Devereux; her ex boyfriend Jon David Bellamy, and her friends Brielle, Eden, Marissa: Bastien’s brother, IT specialist Matt, , their sister Juliette.

YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, obsession and infatuation, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic, dark and edgy; the characters are determined and charismatic; the romance is unconventional and seductive.
