ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 13, 2026

What do you do when you run out of places to hide from yourself?

Lindsay Birmingham is exceptional at concealing her true feelings with sarcasm and a smile, but lately, her carefully crafted persona has begun to unravel.

She escaped her past in every way but in her head, and even a successful modeling career and five chaotic roommates can’t distract her from the memories she has spent her entire life running from.

Her impulse is to avoid anything that makes her feel.

Parker McClaren makes her feel too much.

He has been in love with the closed-off, prickly girl down the hall since they were teenagers, but after years apart, he can’t deny she’s different now.

When he sees an opportunity to breach the friend zone, he seizes it, rocking the already delicate foundation of their friendship.

Emotionally unavailable or not, Parker is determined to test her limits, and each time she pushes him away, he moves in closer.

REVIEW:Calloused & Scarred Hearts is book two in the Lonely Melodies series by Lexi Kingston. As always I do recommend reading a series in order to get the most out of it, but like many other series this book too can be read as a standalone in an interconnected series. CSH is a friends to lovers, no spice on page romance.

The premise of this book is sweet and the characters are definitely likeable, but for a reader such as myself, I was missing the spice. Parker and Lindsay are roommates, but Parker has secret feelings for Lindsay. Lindsay however, is on this journey of self discovery and healing from her past, so Parker’s timing is never right for him to make his move. Lindsay struggles with her mental health and is slowly coming into her own, but trusting others is very hard for her. Parker is with her through all of it, the ups and the downs, he is never scared to help her. The guy truly is a walking green flag, but Lindsay being herself, has the hardest time coming to terms with the feelings that have slowly been building. Does she cave and finally learn to trust our walking, talking boy next store, or does Lindsay cut and run?

This was my first time reading this author and while I did not like the lack of spicy moments, the characters are good and the writing has a good groove to it that makes it easy to read. Lindsay and Parker and two people that clearly care for one another but struggle with finding the right moment and trusting one another. That I think can be related to by a lot of readers. I liked the book and would recommend it to other readers.

Contemporary romance author Lexi Kingston started writing when she was fifteen years old solely because she was obsessed with the idea of creating fictional worlds like the ones she lived through growing up. There was this thrilling allure to writing characters that you can relate to and find pieces of yourself within that she couldn’t shake, and this eventually drew her to fiction writing. She wanted to create a world people could get lost in–a fictional safe haven, if you will. A place filled with endless possibilities, where you can lose yourself, yet find yourself within the pages.

Fame hit like lightning. Then vanished just as fast.

Danger meant something—it was my name, the code I lived by.
Until I sacrificed everything for love, and she tore it all apart.

Australia was never the plan, but neither was starting over.
Until a pink-haired goddess ignited what I thought was dead.

Recoil deserves another shot, and I deserve redemption.
So, when the spotlight calls—this time, I choose the music.
And maybe her.

She’s forbidden. I’m damaged. But together, we’re perfect.
Some stories start backstage, but ours will ignite center stage.

••••••••

REVIEW: BACKSTAGE is the first instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult RECOIL erotic, rock music, romance series focusing on the members of the rock group Recoil. This is lead singer Dwayne ‘Danger’ Pipe, and twenty-four year old, club girl / stripper Annalise ‘Lunar’ Sheffield’s story line. The RECOIL series is set in the author’s OFF YOUR ROCKER duet, crossing over with the SATAN’S SAVAGES MC. BACKSTAGE is the re-release of the previously title PICK.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Danger and Lunar) BACKSTAGE follows in the wake of the break up of the rock band Recoil. Two years earlier, Danger Piper fell in love, and walked away from the band he helped to form. Fast forward to present day, Danger begins to spiral when he is pushed aside for another man, landing in Australia, where he will be given a second chance with the band he left behind. Danger never expected to fall in love but the woman that calls to heart is about to discover the reality of life in the spotlight, and the kind of betrayal that could cost them both.

The world building focuses on the rebuilding fame and popularity of the rock band Recoil; the paparazzi betrayals and determination to destroy, and the up and down relationship that is threatened by misunderstanding and jealous.

The relationship between Lunar and Danger is one of immediate attraction but Lunar is ‘owned’ by the Satan’s Savage MC, and leaving the MC is harder than is seems. Friends become enemies, betrayal comes from within, and the heart wants something it may not be willing to give. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters including the members of the band: Ryan, Mat, and Nate, and their new agent Nate: several members of Sstan’s Savages MC including VP Steel, president Mad Dog, Techie, and Lunar’s best friend Skye; Lunar’s mother Jackie; and the members of the all-female rock band Luminous including Effa.

BACKSTAGE is a familiar story of power and control, fame and madness, betrayal and vengeance, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and edgy; the romance is seduction and erotic; the characters are broken but determined.

I controlled everything. Then she walked in and flipped the script.

Getting under her skin is the storm I choose. Even that chaos feels better than silence.
If only for a moment.

She’s relentless. I’m damaged. But together, we’re everything.
Some battles start with surrender, but ours can only be amplified by the wreckage.

Guitarist Ryan Hunter struggles with Tillie’s arrival, having been the band’s sole social media person, and his attraction to a woman who is not his late-wife. Forced to work together Ryan finds himself falling for our story line heroine, a woman whose heart he is about to destroy.

The world building focuses on the band’s rise in popularity through Tillie’s social media campaign. Ryan is about to star front and centre as the fans follows his journey towards better health but the past refuses to let go, and Ryan struggles to move forward with our story line heroine.

The relationship between Ryan and Tillie begins acrimoniously as our couple butt heads at every opportunity. REVIEW: HEADLINER is the third instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult RECOIL erotic, rock romance series focusing on the members of the rock band RECOIL. This is twenty-six year old rummer Nate Levine, and thirty-six year old award winning actress Zaria Sharif’s story line. HEADLINER is the re-release of the author’s original titled SNARE.

Told from dual first person perspective (Nate and Zaria) HEADLINER follows in the wake of the hiring and arrival of award winning actress Zaria Sharif. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Genre: adult, contemporary, rock, romance

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / Amazon.uk / Amazon.au /

Release Date: January 19, 2026

I had the perfect list. Then my best friend shattered every box.

My checklist was gospel—ten traits, no exceptions, no compromises.
Until Alex became my wingman, and we hunted love online together.

Falling for her wasn’t the plan, but neither was rewriting everything.
Until this aqua-haired gallery girl made me question what perfection means.

Recoil found our rhythm, and I found mine was way off beat.
So when friendship turns to more, this time, I ignore the rules.
Rules are made to be broken, right?

She’s chaos. I’m rigid. But together, we’re the perfect match.
Some love stories start as friendships, but ours will refrain from being ordinary.

••••••

REVIEW:REFRAIN is the fourth and final instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult RECOIL erotic, rock romance series focusing on the members of the rock ban Recoil. This is twenty-six year old bass guitarist Matt Levine, and PA Alex’s story line. REFRAIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion. Matt is Nick’s twin brother (Headliner). REFRAIN is the re-release of the original titled instalment FRET.

NOTE: Some of the events of REFRAIN cross over with, and run parallel to the events of book three HEADLINER

Told from dual first person perspectives (Matt and Alex) REFRAIN follows the friend to lovers relationship between twenty-six year old bass guitarist Matt Levine, and PA Alex. Nate Levine is in need of an assistant, and his soon to be fiancé hires Alex to keep his life in running order but Alex never expected to fall for her boss’s twin brother Matt, as they commiserate over their lack luster love lives, joining an online dating service together. As Alex and Matt begin their separate journey into the world of the unknown, they refuse to admit to their growing attraction to one another that is threatened by the continuous need to seek a possible future with someone else.

The world building focuses on the less than stellar online dating matches, and the spiral of two people who are struggling to remain friends in the face of growing love. Matt battles between head and heart, as Alex is willing to walk away in the face of humiliation and potential betrayal. The business of music takes a back seat in this instalment.

The relationship between Matt and Alex is a friends to lovers in which Matt struggles with his feelings for the woman he calls his best friend. Fearing the loss of the woman he loves, Matt makes a mistake threatening any chance of a future with our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

All of the previous couples return as well as Feng Shui ‘expert’ Whisper who reminds me of another eccentric secondary character found another one of my favorite author’s series.

REFRAIN is a story of friends and family, relationships and love. The character driven premise is heartwarming and often fun; the characters are sassy and impulsive; the romance is tender.

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Google Play / Indigo /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 1, 2025

As the rhythm guitarist for Crimson Edge, while my bandmates chase the spotlight, I stick to the shadows. Keeping the beat, keeping out of trouble, and keeping my heart off-limits.

At least, that was the plan… until our tour bus broke down in the middle of nowhere.

She’s a no-nonsense waitress who couldn’t care less about fame, doesn’t recognize me, and definitely doesn’t fall for my smooth lines. She calls me out and flips my world on its axis with nothing more than a look and a cup of coffee.

Two unforgettable days. One reckless night. And then the tour moves on.

I figured that was the end of it… until she calls with two life-altering words: I’m pregnant.

Now everything’s changed. I thought I knew what I wanted—music, freedom, no attachments. But she’s in my head, under my skin, and carrying the one thing that could break me wide open.

This isn’t about the band anymore.
This is about her.
Our baby.
And the man I want to become.

He was my dream and my downfall.

Zack said mixing business with pleasure would destroy the band.
So I gave myself to everyone else but him.

I could still be in the band. I could still chase the dream.
I just couldn’t keep waiting for him to love me back.

So I tried everything to forget him—sex, booze, chaos. But nothing dulled the ache.

While the band’s star rises, Zack spirals deeper into self-destruction, pulling me down with him.
When we finally try to be together, it’s a disaster.

And his betrayal cuts deeper than any lyric he’s ever written.

We break up. And somehow, I still want him.

But maybe the most dangerous thing isn’t losing him. It’s losing myself.

Because heartbreak broke me once… But shame might just destroy me for good.

•••••••

REVIEW: SHAME ME is the second instalment in Jade C Jamison’s contemporary, adult ROCK STARS ON THE RISE rock music romance series focusing on Zach Ryan and Dani Mankin, members of the rock group Once Upon A Riot. SHAME ME should not be read as a stand alone as Dani, Zach and the band’s story begins in book one SHAKE ME.

SOME BACKGROUND: Dani Mankin met Zack Ryan and Braden Mitchell the first day of high school, and the trio became best friends during chess club. As high school moved along, Zack and Braden would start a band with friends Cy Gilliam and Parker Eggleston, but when Parker went to college, the band needed a new drummer, and Dani was about to get a crash course in learning to play the drums, the perfect venue to stay side by side with the man who had stolen her heart. Betrayal came swift at the cost of a friendship, and Dani would discover the band would become more important to Zack than her heart.

Told from first person perspective (Dani) following several months, SHAME ME focuses on the heavy metal band’s slow rise on the rock music scene but Dani Mankin has loved Zack Ryan since the first day of high school, and finds herself relegated to the friend zone for the foreseeable future. Determined to get attention anywhere she can, Dani becomes a bit of a wild child, often placing herself in the direct line of fire, as Zack begins to spiral. When Zach becomes more obsessive about his future, the sound and the band, Dani becomes more of an after thought, a toy to be played with , fighting her way to be something more. As the band’s future continues to rise, our heroine learns her life is about to become more complicated as the rock star life takes over for the band, and misogyny becomes all too apparent.

The world building focuses on the band’s rise to fame; on the proverbial and cliched $ex, drugs, drinking, rock and roll; on obsession and rejection, betrayal and love. Regardless of Zack’s continuous betrayal, our heroine is unable to let go of her need for, and attraction to Zack Ryan.

The relationship between Dani and Zack is tempestuous at best. From friends to best friends to lover then enemies, Dani and Zack’s back and forth is affecting the band but someone else is waiting to save Dani from the man of her dreams, someone who is willing to give it all. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and sometimes aggressive.

The secondary and supporting characters are energetic and dynamic with the return Braden Mitchell and Cy Gilliam, as well as the introduction of a new band manager, tour operator and recording executives.

SHAME ME is a story of power and control, betrayal and heart break, secrets and lies, obsession and deception, friendships and pain. The character driven premise is entertaining and dramatic but the lone perspective reads like an autobiographical journal, wherein we only get one point of view. There is so much going on with Zack Ryan, the story line is missing important information that is affecting every member of the band. The characters are desperate, determined yet broken; the romance is struggling with betrayal and hurt. SHAME ME ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 15, 2025

He broke my heart before he even knew it belonged to him.

Zack Ryan was always the one.
The one I couldn’t have.
The one who never looked at me the way I looked at him.

When he asked me to be the drummer in his band, I said yes—because it meant staying close, even when I was firmly in the friend zone. For years, I stood behind him on stage, keeping the rhythm while my heart beat only for him.

But the better our band becomes, the harder it is to pretend.
One night changes everything.
One night, he finally sees me.
And the next morning, he breaks me.

Now, nothing feels certain—except the music and the heartbreak that won’t let me go.
I thought loving him would be enough.

I never expected it to shake me to my core before it ruined me.

A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow.

Since publishing her first book in 2013, K. has sold over one million copies of her books and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over twenty-five times.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 25, 2025

The guy I just met at the mansion I inherited from a complete stranger?
He’s drop dead gorgeous. Sexy. And rude with a Capital R.
Turns out he’s not the hot gardener as I wrongly assumed. He’s not
only a famous rock star who grew up in the house, he’s also ready to
fight for it. And being both hot-headed and Irish, he’s going to fight
hard and dirty.

I’m not moving out. Full Stop.
But neither is he. So we agree on some simple rules.

We’ll play roommates for a while. What could possibly go wrong?
Living together with an Irish Hothead will surely cause a major storm.
Let’s hope bracing that storm won’t turn into a hurricane.

REVIEW: BRACING THE STORM is the first instalment in JC Reed’s contemporary, adult, erotic rockstar duet focusing on rock star  Patrick Walsh and Lori Crest.

Told from first person perspective (Lori) BRACING THE STORM follows Lori Crest on her journey to Ireland in the wake of inheriting a mansion from a woman she barely knew but Lori’s arrival in Ireland is met with trepidation of the unknown when our heroine discovers she is not alone. Enter Patrick Walsh, the previous owner’s son, and a man who refuses to step aside for our story line heroine. As the relationship between Patrick and Lori enters a state of détente, the appearance of the ultimate betrayal send our heroine on the run, in an effort to save her heart and her fracture self-esteem.

The world building follows Lori as she begins to establish a relationship not only with her ‘roommate’ but with the residents of a small countryside village in Ireland . As Lori struggles to come to terms with the reality of her life, a secret reveals the truth she never knew.

The relationship between Lori and Patrick begins acrimoniously. Patrick refuses to accept Lori’s explanation, and the inheritance of the family home, and in this, our couple begin to push one another’s buttons until someone pushes too far. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

We are introduced to several local villagers, as well as Lori’s friend Mia, café owner Sinead, and local attorney Duncan Ellis.

BRACING THE STORM is a story of secrets, betrayal, family and loss. The fast paced premise is intriguing and emotional; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate and determined. BRACING THE STORM ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 21, 2025

Welcome to the Crimson Edge tour… where love and music are both about to get their big break.

Secrets.

I have a really big one.

My image as the bad-boy drummer for Crimson Edge isn’t going to save me when word gets out.

My band is going to be furious.

And the woman I’m falling for?

She’s not going to stick around for the fallout.

•••••

REVIEW: LIVING ON THE EDGE is the first instalment in Kat Mizera’s contemporary, adult CRIMSON EDGE erotic, rock romance series-a spin off set in the author’s Rock Hard and Rock Harder worlds. This is thirty-two year old, Crimson Edge drummer Angus Jeffries, and twenty-four year old, journalist Ryleigh Tucker’s story line. Several characters cross over with, or are mentioned, or have connections to characters in the author’s Rock Hard series, Rock Harder series, and Las Vega Sidewinders hockey series.

NOTE: There is a prequel novella-Edge of Forever- focusing on Crimson Edge guitarist Sam Fielding and teen singing idol Kirsten Aiken.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Angus and Ryleigh) LIVING ON THE EDGE follows Ryleigh Tucker as she struggles to make a name for herself in the world of music journalism. Ryleigh’s late father worked for the music magazine Rock Harder, and gifted his daughter a shot a fame working for Rich Fowler and Rock Harder magazine. A music reviewer and online blogger, Ryleigh is desperate for a full-time job, and her first assignment is to write an expose on the up and coming rock band Crimson Edge but from the outset Ryleigh’s place with the band is fraught with issues of trust, and when secrets are revealed, Ryleigh is forced to take the blame for something she did not do. Crimson Edge drummer Angus Jeffries is hiding a secret, and if exposed, his life with the band may spiral out of control but Ryleigh Tucker is about to uncover a much darker series of lies, and pay the price for someone else’s sins.

The world building focuses on the dynamics of the band as the pressure to succeed is threatened by someone else’s jealousy and hate. A perceived betrayal will push Ryleigh out of Angus’ life, a betrayal meant to destroy and break out story line hero. As the band begins their climb towards stardom, someone else is determined to take them down.

The relationship between Angus and Ryleigh begins acrimoniously as the band isn’t found of someone reporting their every move but Angus quickly discovers Ryleigh is much more than a wanna-be journalist, she is the woman who is about to destroy his heart. Ryleigh knows that to get involved with Angus Jeffries is a potential conflict of interest, and in this, Ryleigh battles between head and heart when someone else takes advantage of her burgeoning career. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to the energetic members of Crimson Edge: guitarist Sam Fielding and his girlfriend, teen singing idol Kirsten Aiken (Edge of Forever), lead singer Jonny Gold who struggles with the betrayal of his band ‘brother’, bass player Mick who is in love with another muscian’s girlfriend, rhythm guitarist Tate Jeffries, band manager Sasha Petrov (Anatoli -Las Vegas Sidewinders 4), singer Lexi Rousseau from Nobody’s Fool; Ryleigh’s questionable boss Rich Fowler, musician and Crimson Edge nemesis Callum Yates, and his girlfriend /model Taryn Blakeny, and bus driver Ben.

LIVING ON THE EDGE is a familiar story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, jealousy and manipulation, trust and heartbreak, forgiveness and love. The rock star / journalist love affair has been done by many authors, and all with the same take on betrayal and forgiveness but none the less, LIVING ON THE EDGE is a spicy tale of heart break and forgiveness. The character driven premise is captivating, dramatic and edgy; the romance is passionate and intoxicating; the characters are determined and charismatic.
