ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 2, 2025
My ex is a world-famous rockstar.
And when a winter storm traps us together… he’s about to discover he’s a father.
Phoenix Sterling was once my everything—late-night melodies, tangled sheets, and a future I was foolish enough to believe in. Then he left, choosing a record deal over me.
I thought I could move on… until two pink lines changed everything. I tried to tell him, but my calls went unanswered. For four years I’ve raised our daughter alone. Then my editor sends me to Chicago—in the dead of winter—to interview the man who walked away.
When a blizzard shuts down the airport and leaves us snowed in together, my only way home is squeezing onto a tiny tour bus with my rockstar ex.
But when it breaks down in a storybook small town, hot chocolate turns into a snowball fight… and a slow dance under falling snow makes it impossible to keep my walls up.
Phoenix wants a second chance. But when he learns the truth…
Will he choose the family he never knew he had— or let the music carry him away again?

REVIEW: SILENT NIGHT, HOLY SECRET is the first novella in Paula Dombrowiak’s contemporary, adult HOLLOW REIGN erotic, rock romance series. This is musician Phoenix Sterling, and journalist Elle Winters’ story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Phoenix and Elle) SILENT NIGHT, HOLY SECRET focuses on the rekindling relationship between our story line couple. Five years earlier, Phoenix and Elle were madly in love but a chance at stardom pulled Phoenix out of Elle’s life, refusing to acknowledge the heart in broke in the process. Fast forward to present day, Elle is a single mother of Phoenix’s four year old daughter Melody, a child who is asking for a father for Christmas. Assigned to interview Hollow Reign for Rhythm Magazine, Elle will come face to face with her past, a man who knows nothing about the daughter he left behind. A snow storm just days before Christmas pushes our couple closer together but when the truth is revealed, Phoenix struggles to understand, seeing betrayal from the woman he continues to love.
The world building follows the rock band Hollow Reign as they cross country in an old tour bus that has seen better days. A stop in a small town brings Phoenix and Elle closer together but heartbreak and perceived betrayal threaten to end what has barely begun.
The relationship between Elle and Phoenix is one of second chances but a second chance that is threatened by a secret baby. Phoenix walked away without looking back even though Elle tried and failed to contact the man who broke her heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
We are introduced to the sassy and lively band members: Liam, Casey, and Theo Elle’s daughter Melody, Elle’s best friend Jen, and CEO of Left Turn Records Rachel Davis.
SILENT NIGHT, HOLY SECRET is a familiar story of secrets and lies, friendships and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is thought provoking, and emotional ; the characters are flirty, animated and desperate; the romance is limited but impassioned.

My bandmate’s little sister is off-limits.
Then a Christmas blizzard traps us together in Chicago with only one bed.
After months on tour, all I want is to get home for Christmas. Instead, a winter storm strands me in Chicago with Harper Beaumont, a rising ballet star with everything on the line, including the lead role in her company’s production of The Nutcracker.
With both our flights canceled and Harper watching her dream disappear, I do the one thing I absolutely shouldn’t do—convince her to experience the Christmas magic of Chicago.
Somewhere between sparkling lights, one forbidden kiss, and a snow-covered city, Harper stops being my bandmate’s little sister…
and becomes the woman I can’t stop wanting.
When the only hotel room left has one bed, resisting her becomes impossible, sspecially when she asks me to be her first.
One night with Harper is hot enough to melt the Christmas snow but when morning comes and my bandmate finds out I crossed the line with his sister…
I have to decide if I’m brave enough to risk everything for the woman I was never supposed to have.

Neither has had time to explore the city, and Liam will offer a guided tour of a snowy Chicago, ending with one glorious night spent together before it spirals out of control.
The relationship is one of the forbidden as Liam broke the proverbial bro-code by dating/ sleeping with his bandmate’s sister.Shamed into rejecting our heroine, Liam finds himself on the outside looking in when he realizes he made the biggest mistake of his life. Harper fell in love with her brother’s friend years before but their futures went in different directions, and Liam only saw Harper as his teammate’s sister. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.
The secondary and supporting characters are limited but charismatic. We are introduced to Harper’s mother who struggles to let go, and the return of Liam’s bandmate Casey.
