REVIEW: RUSHED is the second instalment in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary, adult THE COOPERS erotic, romance football series focusing on the Hubbard football dynasty. This is the continuing story of The Coopers new team owner Maeve ‘Vee’ Hubbard, and NFL quarterback Griffin ‘Fin’ Graham’s story line. RUSHED should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events and cliff hanger of book one INTERCEPTED.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Fin and Vee) RUSHED picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book one INTERCEPTED. The Hubbard family have been dealt a personal blow, and the Coopers Football team is waiting anxiously for new about the team and its’ ownership and management but while Vee promises there will be no changes, there are people working behind the scenes to take control from our story line heroine.

The world building follows the ongoing romance and relationship between Vee and Fin, a possibly forbidden relationship in the face of public and private perception but a relationship that has been building for a very long time.

The relationship between Vee and Fin is an ongoing love affair between a the NFL quarterback and ownership. Fin is determined to protect the woman with whom he had fall in love but the public as Vee protects the team from potential betrayal

There is another large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic, and questionable returning secondary and supporting characters including team owner Reid Hubbard’s wife Daphne, and his assistant Bre Stanton. We are reintroduced to Vee’s large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, team players and management, and security.

RUSHED is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and mistrust, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are determined and dynamic. RUSHED ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
