REVIEW: HADES’ ANGUISH is the second instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult SAINT’S OUTLAWS MC: BOSTON erotic, MC romance series,a spin off for the author’s Saint’s Outlaws MC series. This is club member Ronan ‘Hades’ Blackwood, and Evangeline’s story line. HADE’S ANGUISH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives HADE’S ANGUISH follows in the aftermath of the murder of Hade’s sister Calla, and her husband Marcus. Five children are now without their parents, and Hade’s will discover he has been named as co-parent with Marcus’ sister Evangeline, the woman with whom Hades will fall in love but Evangeline’s fiancé is refusing to allow the children in their lives, and our heroine is willing to take a stand to protect the children now under her care. As Hades and Evangeline begin to work together in an effort to raise their nieces and nephews, someone else is determined to destroy them all.
The world building focuses on manipulation and betrayal. As the search for the truth progresses, the reality is much closer to home, and the MC must bond together in an effort to protect their own.
The relationship between Hades and Evangeline begins as a forced proximity in the face of the murder of their respective siblings. Evangeline’s fiancé refuses to accept the children in their lives, as Hades begins to realize something is not right with the man Evangeline once loved. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters include several members of the Saint’s Outlaws MC, as well as Evangeline’s questionable fiancé Ethan, Detective Isaacs, and members of the Shadow Hawks MC.
