REVIEW:KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION is the third instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult SANCTUARY FALLS romantic suspense series focusing on the Knight siblings. This is former DEA operative Cormac Knight aka Connor Robertson, and gallery owner Daniela Ruiz Hill’s’ story line. KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from omniscient third person perspectives including Daniele and Cormac KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION follows the second chance relationship between our story line couple. Several years earlier Connor Robertson walked away from the woman he loved, leaving a heart broken Daniela Ruiz wondering where everything went wrong. Fast forward to present day, Daniele’s life is spiraling out of control, and her criminally connected family is at the top of the proverbial food chain but when her friend and investigator Greg Temple is murdered, Daniele finds herself on the run with her former lover Connor Robertson, a man who is not as he presents himself to be. Connor Robertson is former DEA agent Cormac Knight, and the man who has never stopped loving our story line heroine. Daniele had been planning her escape from her questionable family but the family is taking aim at our story line heroine.

The world building focuses on the Daniele’s family’s connection to underworld crime: their control of law enforcement and abuse of power, and Corma’s extended family who have the ability to take charge when Daniele’s world begins to crumble.

The relationship between Cormac and Daniele is one of second chances, a rekindling romance betrayed by secrets and lies as Daniele struggles to forgive the man whom she still loves but Daniele has been working behind the scenes to take down her father, and Cormac’s connections to law enforcement are the perfect foil to get the job done. The $ex scenes are limited, intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting including the return of Cormac’s siblings and their significant others. We are introduced to Daniele’s father Alexander Hill, her brother Julian, and Julian’s second in command Logan Brown. The requisite evil has many faces.

KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, greed and obsession, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, dramatic and edgy; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.

Clover Storm is determined to prove her friend’s boss is the man responsible for the possible abduction of Ilene Grady but Clover needs help. Enter PI Micah Knight, the man with whom Clover will fall in love. As Clover and Micah begin their search for Ilena, the truth reveals a darker betrayal , and a trail of jealousy and greed.

The world building focuses on the search and rescue, and the revelation of the truth but with law enforcement and the FBI on their trail, Micah and Clover find themselves in hiding, in an effort to prove there is more to the case than anyone could have ever imagined

Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Nick and Berkley KNIGHT’S STORM focuses on the hunt for a killer. Not once but twice, our heroine Berkley Knight woke up in a strange house, with a dead body, having no memory of what happened or why. Working for her nemesis Nick Storm on the cataloguing of his newly acquired mansion, Berkley found herself under the guardian and protection of our story line hero as law enforcement began a deep dive into the possibility of what was happening and why but all is not as it appears to be, and our heroine is caught in the middle of a dangerous game-someone is targeting Berkley Knight, and the list of suspects continues to grow.

The world building introduces several players and secondary characters in the author’s Sanctuary Falls romantic suspense series. From Berkley’s numerous siblings, and Nick’s sister, KNIGHT’S STORM focuses on the interactions and potential relationships between extended families and friends.

The relationship between Nick and Berkley begins acrimoniously, approximately one year earlier, in the face of betrayal and lies. Berkley and Nick avoid one another at every opportunity but the threats against Berkley become personal and deadly, and in this, Nick is determined to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and sometimes questionable secondary and supporting characters including Nick’s sister Clover Storm, and Berkley’s siblings Micah, Apollo, Cormac, Krystal and her husband Mike as well as Berkley’s friends Silvia and Kendall Bond, and Berkley’s ex Dr. Henry Moore.

KNIGHT’S STORM is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, jealousy and murder, family and friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced, character driven premise is intriguing, edgy and dramatic; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate and determined.
