ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 13, 2026

A standalone dark mafia romance where a wrongly convicted hacker heroine meets her match — an obsessed, neurodivergent tech genius who’s been watching her for two years.
I went to prison for a crime I didn’t commit.

Fourteen months behind bars because I trusted the wrong man. When I got out, I swore I’d never make that mistake again.

Then a Russian gangster turned my brother Sal into leverage and gave me a choice: hack for him, or watch Sal pay the price.

So I became a ghost. The best in the city. Untraceable. Untouchable. Invisible.

Until I broke into the wrong network and discovered someone had already been inside mine.

His name is Wolfe Molloy. He’s the tech genius behind Boston’s most powerful Irish crime family. He’s quiet, intense, and brutally intelligent. He doesn’t do small talk. He doesn’t do charm. He eats cereal for dinner and forgets to sleep and his brain never, ever shuts off.

Except when he’s near me.

There’s just one problem.

He’s been watching me for two years. He knows my real name, my aliases, my conviction, and every move I’ve made since I walked out of that prison. He says he wants to protect me and my brother. He says he needs my skills to take down the man who controls my life.

What he’s not saying is what scares me.

Because Wolfe Molloy is hiding something. A secret about my past that could set me free or shatter every reason I have to trust him.

The closer I get, the harder he is to resist. He touches me like I’m something precious. He stands between me and every threat like his body is a wall he built just for me. He looks at me like I’m the only thing in this world his mind can’t take apart and put back together.

And when the truth comes out — when I find out what he’s been keeping from me — I’ll have to decide if the man who buried my freedom is the same man who’d bleed to protect it.

Because in this world, love isn’t just dangerous.

It’s the one thing neither of us knows how to survive.

REVIEW: SHADOW OF SIN is the second instalment in Kristen Luciani’s contemporary, adult DEADLY SINS erotic, Mafia romance series. This is hackers Wolfe Molloy, and Eva Moreno’s story line. SHADOW OF SIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necesary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Wolfe and Eva) SHADOW OF SIN follows in the wake of the discover of a back door hacker who has accessed the Molloy-DiMicheli crime family online information. As a neuro-divergent, genius computer hacker , Wolfe Molloy has been following the hacker’s footprints down the proverbial rabbit hole and discover a familiar name in the world of hacking. Eva Moreno was sentenced to prison for a crime she did not commit but within weeks of her release finds herself working for the Russian mob, who demand she hack the Molloy Irish Crime Family. Wolfe’s discovery of Eva’s involvement forces the family to reconsider their options going forward especially when they discover a familiar face is determined to take them down. Having been uncovered by Wolfe, Eva finds herself now ‘helping’ the Molloy family in an effort to protect her brother but all does not go according plan, and once again, Eva finds herself on the outside looking in when the sins of the past threaten to destroy her life.

The world building focuses on the forced proximity for our story line couple when threats against our heroine become dangerous and dark. Wolfe is a man struggling within himself but a man who has spent most of his life being told he was never enough. Eva’s involvement in the threats against the Molloy’s adds to the mistrust and need for vengeance, and our heroine discovers her life may be forfeit, and her brother’s as well. Eva has been declared a liability, and in the world of the Mafia, liabilities often disappear without a trace.

The relationship between Eva and Wolfe begins as a setup as Wolfe is desperate to understand the who and why. Befriending both Eva and her brother Sal is but Wolfe never expected to fall in love with the woman who is his virtual equal when it comes to the world of IT and computers. Working together to follow the trail of betrayal, our couple find themselves falling as the world threatens to burn them down. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

the secondary and supporting characters are powerful and determined. We are reintroduced to Wolfe’s siblings Ronan, Killian, Gavin, Lachlan and his wife Adriana, as well as Eva’s brother and bar owner Sal Moreno. The requisite evil has many faces including several members of the Russian and Albanian mobs.

SHADOW OF SIN is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and relationships, forgiveness and trust. The character driven premise is dark, dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive yet heart breaking; the characters are desperate, dynamic and charismatic.
