REVIEW: SIREN OF THE STORM is the fifth instalment in Delta James’ contemporary, adult TIDES OF FATE erotic, paranormal, romance series. This is dragon shatter Finn Rowan, and Marine Biologist Lila Mercer’s story line . SIREN OF THE STORM can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual first person perspectives (Lilah and Finn) SIREN OF THE STORM follows in the wake of the arrival of Marine biologist Lilah Mercer in Stormhaven, in search of of answers to a mysterious bioluminescent algae. Following the deaths of several people, Lilah is sent on a mission of research but finds herself facing down a man who is about to claim her heart. Finn Rowan knows immediately that Lilah Mercer their mate. Having loved and lost eons before, Finn is determined to protect Lilah at all costs. Finn’s past has followed our hero to Stormhaven, and with it, comes a promise to repeat the sins of the past, in an effort to destroy Finn’s only weakness.

The world building is fast and furious as the Brotherhood must come together in an effort to save their own. Finn has been targeted for what he is, and in this, Lilah Mercer will be the catalyst that pulls the Brotherhood into a supernatural war.

The relationship between Lilah and Finn is one of fated mates. Lilah is human but within hours of her arrival, everything she thought she knew would be replaced with wonder and awe-shifters do exist, and the probably of surviving the war will be better if Lilah becomes something else. The $ex scenes are provocative and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
