REVIEW:KING OF TEMPTATION is the second instalment in Stella Moore’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS O’ROURKES erotic, Daddy-kink, Mafia, romance series. This is second in command Brody O’Rourke, and romance author Marigold ‘Goldie’ Quinn’s story line. KING OF TEMPTATION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. For follows of Stella Moore, there is a slight cross over with the author’s Big Daddy Energy series.

 NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers, including spanking and discipline, for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Brody and Goldie) KING OF TEMPTATION follows the ongoing fallout of romance author Goldie Quinn’s attempt to ‘stalk’ the O’Rourke Irish mob in an effort to ferret out information for her upcoming novel. .Having met super fan Aria O’Rourke (King of Sin 1), Goldie decides to write a romance based on the mob but our heroine needed ‘first hand’ information and found herself targeted by the people in charge but there is a mole in the family, and our heroine is about to discover how dangerous life in the mob can be.

The world building focuses on the hierarchies within the family, the possibility of betrayal, and the encroaching war with the Russians. Trust must be earned, and often times, liabilities must be terminated or dealt with. As the daughter of a police Sargeant, Goldie becomes a focus of betrayal but someone is taking aim at the O’Rourke family.

The relationship between Goldie and Brody is tempestuous yet their attraction to one another is immediate. Goldie is often TSTL (too stupid to live), placing herself in dangerous situations all for up front research and her next book. Brody is determined to keep Goldie under control, and his need to punish add to the growing daddy-dom relationship between our story line couple. The $ex scenes are intimate, mostly reflecting on the Daddy kink lifestyle.

The secondary and supporting characters are dynamic and entertaining. We are reintroduced to Killian and Aria O’Rourke, Brody’s sister Reagan, their cousins Lochlan, Murphy and his son Rowan O’Rourke, Boone Winters and his sister Dr. Naomi Winters, as well as Goldie’s father Sargeant Joe Quinn, and her assistant Zoe.

KING OF TEMPTATION is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, daddy kink relationships and consensual power dynamics, family and love. The character driven premise is intriguing and engaging- the author’s numerous series and story lines all focus on the Daddy-kink relationship; the romance is seductive and unconventional; the characters are determined and energetic.
