This is wildlife biologist Neve Dalton, and former military operator turned smuggler Magnus’ story line. MOUNTAIN ROGUE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Neve and Magnus) MOUNTAIN ROGUE focuses on the rescue of our story line heroine. Neve Dalton is a wildlife biologist whose cameras caught something they should not have. On the run, Neve takes refuge with smuggler and pilot Magnus, as our couple find themselves the target of some very dangerous people.
The world building is fast and furious as Neve and Magnus run for their lives. With the help of Zeb and Caryn (Mountain Storm 1) , our couple find safety and solace from the those hunting them down.
The relationship between Magnus and Neve is an insta-lust to love that covers but a couple of days in the life. Magnus struggles with the arrival of our story line heroine but with Magnus’ help, Neve would never have survived . The $ex scenes are intimate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters are limited. We are reintroduced to Seb Cross and Caryn Stevens (Mountain Storm 1).
MOUNTAIN ROGUE is a quick read; a story of power and control, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is engaging and intriguing; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are determined .

Mira Vaughn is an insurance fraud investigator and from the outset, Mira believes the MC is responsible but with the help of SAA Riley Shaw, our couple begin a deeper dive into the targeted business discovering a possible connection to someone else.
The world building focuses on the search for the truth as Mira and Shaw grow closer together. Shaw recognizes Mira’s struggles for control; Mira battles between head and heart with her attraction to a man she believes may be guilty.
The relationship between Mira and Shaw begins acrimoniously but quickly turns into something more. Shaw offers Mira a way to let go but the demons from her past are preventing our heroine from moving forward. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters include the return of VP Cole Holloway, President Will Lawson, and MC member Tate. We are introduce to Fire Marshall Davis, Detective Perez, and several locals and business people who live in Anchor Bay. The requisite evil has many faces.

REVIEW:AVENGER OF TALON MOUNTAIN is the eighth instalment in Delta James’ contemporary, adult MEN OF TALON MOUNTAIN romantic suspense series set Talon Mountain, Alaska. This is RN Sela Mitchell, and former Army CID Sheriff’s Deputy Marc Wells. AVENGER OF TALON MOUNTAIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines, is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Sela and Marc) AVENGER OF TALON MOUNTAIN follows in the wake of the attempted murder of our story line heroine. Sela Mitchell’s first day on the job at Palmer Regional Hospital ends with a shoot out in the parking garage. Earlier in the day, Sela discovered an encrypted USB stick, and within hours of reporting, she had become a target of some very powerful people. Sheriff’s Deputy Marc Wells recognizes the evidence Sela discovered, and in an effort to protect our story line heroine, our couple find themselves on the run in the Alaskan Wilderness. Unable to trust anyone in the FBI or the DOJ, Marc and his friends call in a favor, a favor that once again places a target on our story line couple.
The world building focuses on the search for the truth; the uneven distribution of power in government offices, and the people with too much power and control.
The relationship between Sela and Marc begins as protection. Sela has unknowingly caught the attention of someone in power, and with it, has been targeted for what she had found. Marc is determined to protect the woman with whom he will fall in love but battles between head and heart, knowing that to cross the line,may be the end of his career. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top , sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters many of whom we met in the previous story lines.
AVENGER OF TALON MOUNTAIN is a fast paced story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies. government corruption, friendships and love. The premise is edgy and dramatic; the characters are determined and dynamic; the romance is seductive and impassioned.
