REVIEW: –NOT A TRIBUTE is the first instalment in Jade Marshall’s adult TALES OF THE DREGGAGEGGON erotic, paranormal, romance novella series. This is eighteen year old, dragon Seline James, and thirty year old, dragon shifter and Alpha Noble Liam Virago’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Liam and Seline) NOT A TRIBUTE follows the quick building relationship between our story line couple. The annual search for breeders sees the Alpha Nobles ‘hunt’ for a female . There have been no true female dragon shifters in over five hundred years but that doesn’t stop the male shifters from partaking in the annual event. Having been abused by her father for years, Seline James is literally thrown to forest where she will come face to face with her future in the guise of Alpha Noble Liam Virago but Seline is much more than she appears to be, and Liam is determined to destroy anyone who gets in their way.
The world building is detailed, following several paths including a couple of twists that may threaten our story line couple. Seline’s father Gregor James is determined to destroy his only daughter but in doing so he makes himself a target of the council and out story line hero.
The relationship between Liam and Seline is one of fated mates but Seline believes she is not worthy of a mate, a mate who is determined to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love. the $ex scenes are intimate and aggressive.
The secondary and supporting characters include Seline’s father Gregor, Angela and Ares, as well as Mikael, High Alpha of the Dragon Council.
NOT A TRIBUTE is a fast paced, quick read; a story of betrayal and madness; power and control, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is enchanting and magical; the romance provocative; the characters are powerful and magical.

This is twin dragon shifters Julian and Sebastian aka Bas, and Harlow’s story line. NOT A PAWN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from three first person perspectives (Julian, Bas, Harlow) NOT A PAWN follows in the wake of the attempted assassination of Julian and Sebastian but while torturing their would-be killer, they will learn his daughter is being held prisoner by Marco Pezzo, a man who is determined to claim Harlow as his own. Desperate to rescue an innocent woman, both Julian and Sebastian will discover Harlow is their mate, and no man will ever come between them. Told from dual first person perspectives (Malichai and Lyrik) following several timelines, NOT A GIFT follows the forbidden relationship between Malichai and Lyrik. An explosion ended Malichai’s career in the Fighting Force, and his return home comes with the memories of what he lost. As a member of the Elite, and heir to a criminal empire, Malichai is expected to follow the rules but a few harsh words from his father force Malichai to take control, including the criminal empire he never wanted to rule.
The world building is fast and furious, focusing on the ultimate betrayal, and a need to avenge all that was lost.
The relationship between Malichai and Lyrik begins as step siblings but Malichai’s dragon knows Lyrik is their mate, and step-sibling affair is not what he wanted. Lyrik suffered in the year since Malichai left home but a need to protect their mate finds Lyrik taking a stand, and destroying the man who is intent on destroying our couple. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense.
The secondary and supporting characters are limited. We are introduced to several of Lyrik’s friends, as well as Thomas Black, his second in command Dante.
NOT A GIFT is a fast paced story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and acceptance. The premise is intriguing and entertaining;the romance is fated; the characters are determined and charismatic.
