REVIEW:  BLOOD CONSORT is the second instalment in the contemporary, adult THANATOS COVEN erotic, paranormal, romance series co-authored by Jade Marshall and Rose Wulf. This is vampire Mateo, and Harlow’s story line. BLOOD CONSORT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

SOME BACKGROUND: The supernaturals are being hunted by a group known as the jagters, and their latest target is the Thanatos Coven.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Mateo and Harlow) BLOOD CONSORT focuses on the fated mating of our story line couple. Mateo knows immediately upon meeting Harlow, that our heroine is his fated mate but someone has targeted Harlow, and Mateo suspects the hunters known as jagters. Harlow is more than human but when she told her parents she could see ghosts, she found herself imprisoned in a psychiatric institution where they tried to destroy her life. Always one step ahead, Harlow believes she has been found but quickly discovers Mateo and his Coven are the targets.

The world building focuses on the past, the truth and Harlow’s life that is spiralling out of control. Harlow sees ghosts, and with it , a familiarity from the past.

The relationship between Harlow and Mateo is one of immediate attraction, of fated mates but Harlow struggles in the face of Mateo’s secrets. When the coven is attacked, Harlow is determined to help any way she can. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate .

The secondary and supporting characters include the return of Kyson and his mate Scarlet, and the head the their coven Aziel, as well as jagter Noah.
