She betrayed him. Now, he’s back to claim everything—including her.

Gabriel Grimm was supposed to be dead.

Once, he was the golden heir—untouchable, unstoppable—until a scandal shattered his world, leaving his name in ruins and his body in a shallow grave. But Gabriel didn’t die. He disappeared, forging himself into something harder, colder, unbreakable. And now, after years in the shadows, he’s ready to take back what was stolen.
Starting with her.

Isabella Hart was everything to him. His love. His salvation. And the woman who stood by while her father destroyed him. Now, she’s at the heart of the empire he’s about to dismantle. But taking down her father isn’t enough. Gabriel wants Bella, too. Ruined. Broken. His.

She swears she wasn’t part of the betrayal. That she fought for him. That the past isn’t what he believes. But Gabriel stopped believing in love the day he died.

Now, he only believes in vengeance.

Yet every time he touches her, the past comes roaring back. The hunger. The need. The lie he tells himself—that breaking her will make him whole again.

But if he’s wrong, then claiming her won’t be his triumph… it will be his downfall. And her undoing.

REVIEW: THE BEAST is the third instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRE BROTHERS GRIMM dark erotic, romance series focusing on the Grimm Brothers, and very loosely based on fairy tale characters are stories. This is billionaire businessman and artist Gabriel Grimm, and twenty-eight year old business woman and heiress Isabella Hart’s story line. THE BEAST can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from first person (Isabella) and third person (Gabriel) THE BEAST focuses on Gabriel’s need for revenge. Five years earlier, Gabriel Grimm was presumed dead in a deadly fire, and in the ensuing time Isabella never stopped searching for the truth. Fast forward to present day, Gabriel Grimm has returned, a hardened and dangerous man, seeking revenge against those he blames for his early demise including the woman with whom he had fallen in love. Gabriel refuses to listen to reason, believing he was set up by our story line heroine, a woman who is struggling to understand what happened and why.

The world building follows Gabriel as he hunts for the truth, taking aim at the people he believes want him to die. Pushing away family and former friends, Gabriel is a one-man killing machine, a man who refuses to accept the innocence of our story line heroine.

The rekindling relationship between Gabriel and Isabella is a lovers to enemies to lovers in the face of betrayal and murder. Isabella is wholly unaware of the circumstances surrounding Gabriel’s death, yet Gabriel was up close and personal with the people he believes wanted him to die. As Isabella struggles to make Gabriel see the truth, our hero battle between head and heart, unable to trust the woman he once loved. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative but I continue to dislike the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story lines.

We are introduced to Isabella’s friend David, and best friend Harper Lang; Gabriel’s saviors Anissa and her father Travis Graves; Isabella’s father, hotelier Sterling Hart, as well as the return of Leo Grimm.

THE BEAST is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, dysfunctional family dynamics, forgiveness and love. The fast paced premise is detailed, edgy and dramatic; the second chance romance is fiery and heated; the characters are broken yet determined and charismatic.

Zora was in Ireland, attending her younger sister Sisi’s wedding to Conor’s younger brother Caysey when the groom ran out, leaving the bride alone. Determined to save face, Conor’s father and head of the O’Shea family, Seamus O’Shea demanded a wedding, and Conor made Zora an offer she couldn’t refuse but from the outset the marriage was destined to fail when Conor pushed Zora out of his life, and our heroine struggles with severe issues of jealousy in the face of perceived betrayal meant to hurt and destroy. Carrick once held my heart in his hands—then he shattered it. Now, marrying him is the only way to save my life, but it doesn’t erase the past. REVIEW:THE VIPER is the second instalment in Britney O’Neal’s contemporary, adult EMERALD KINGS dark, erotic, Irish mobsters, romance series. This is twenty-four year old, Carrick O’Shea, and nineteen year old, American student Sisi’s story line. THE VIPER can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading book one as the events of THE VIPER cross over with, and run parallel to the events of book one THE BEAST.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sisi and Carrick) follows the tempestuous relationship between Carrick O’Shea, and American Sisi. Meanwhile, the ruling families fight for control, and the O’Shea’ s will get caught in the crossfire, once again destroying the relationship between Carrick and Sisi.

The world building follows Carrick’s spiral out of control. Love, loss and retribution are at the heart of Carrick’s need for vengeance but Sisi is about to pay the price for loving a man who does not want to be loved.

The relationships between Sisi and Carrick is turbulent and stormy. Betrayal came at a cost, and the entire family would suffer for the mistakes of the past. As Carrick battled between head and heart, Sisi found herself alone in the wake of the ultimate sacrifice. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

The secondary and supporting characters include the return of Carrick’s brothers Caysey, and Conor, as well as Conor’s wife Zorra; their parents Seamus and Jeanie O’Shea, and crime family rivals Tristan and CK Kelly.

THE VIPER is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, death and grief, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and heart breaking; the romance is raw and twisted; the characters are desperate and broken.

REVIEW: THE BEAST is the fourth instalment in Jade Marshall’s contemporary, adult, GYPSY B*STARDS dark, erotic, MC romance series. This is Kelly aka Beast, and Irene’s story line. THE BEAST can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. There is a slight cross over with the characters from the author’s Cammareri series.

Told from dual first person perspectives ( Irene and Beast) THE BEAST follows in the wake of the assault against our story line heroine. Packing up, moving out, Irene heads to her friend in Gypsy Falls, where she will meet her future in the guise of MC member Beast. From the outset, Irene is an independent woman who is struggling to ask or accept any help including from the man with whom Irene will fall in love. Beast’s attraction to Irene is immediate and intense but Irene’s issues of trust have built an impenetrable wall that even Beast struggles to climb or overcome. When Irene’s past returns, the Gypsy B*stards claim Irene as their own, and our heroine will find her happily ever after with our story line hero. What ensues is the building relationship between our story line couple, and the potential fall out as Irene’s need for independence threatens her own safety and the safety of everyone involved.

The world building focuses on Beast’s need to claim the woman with whom he is falling in love, and Irene’s determination to remain independent and strong but all does not go according to plan when the past refuses to let go, targeting our story line heroine.

The relationship between Beast and Irene begins as acquaintance and friends when Irene seeks shelter with the Gypsy B*stards MC. Beast sees something, suspects all is not well in Irene’s life, and our hero is determined to prove he is worthy of her love. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate .

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters, most of whom we met in previous instalments: Club president Pope and Storm; Wolf and Hadley, the return of Sparrow; Viking, Doc, Mad Dog and Kaiya, Justice, Trinity, as well as Severu, Alceu and Preacher (Cammareri series).

THE BEAST is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, madness and obsession, family and friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and intense; the romance guarded yet building; the characters are desperate and animated. THE BEAST ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
