She was supposed to be a pawn. Now I’ll burn down the world to keep her safe.

I thought I knew what evil looked like. I was wrong.

For years, I believed Victor Kane was the monster at the center of everything…

The man pulling strings, destroying lives, and hunting the people I love. I was prepared to burn down the world to stop him.

But Victor was only a distraction. The truth is darker. Older. More sinister.

And it’s been watching me far longer than I ever realized. Now Ariana is caught in the crosshairs of something far bigger than revenge.

Something that doesn’t just want power. It wants obedience. Devotion. Sacrifice.

I’ve hunted monsters my entire life. But this time, the monster isn’t in the shadows.

He’s been standing beside me all along.

REVIEW:THE CHOSEN is the third and final instalment in TK Leigh’s contemporary, adult THE HUNTER erotic, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on former Navy SEAL and billionaire cyber security expert Henry Fontaine and socialite Ariana Kane. The HUNTER series is a spin off, set in the author SAINT trilogy world. THE CHOSEN should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events and cliff hanger of book one THE PAWN.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers .

Told from dual first person perspectives (Henry and Ariana) THE CHOSEN picks up after the cliff hanger of THE PAWN in which Ariana Kane confronts her husband Victor Kane, ensuring he can no longer hurt anyone else but as Henry, and his right hand man Blake begin their own investigation into the human trafficking ring, they discover the betrayal goes much deeper, involving madness, god complexes, and organized crime.

The world building continues to focus on the search for the missing. Both Blake and Henry have lost someone they loved but all is not as it appears to be. Henry never expected to fall in love with the woman he kidnapped, a woman he blamed as much for the crimes of her husband but a woman who was a victim like so many others.

The relationship between Henry and Ariana begins as a kidnapping but slowly builds into something more. Henry has fallen in love with the woman he once held prisoner, a woman who is determined to end the cycle her husband began. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

Once again, the limited secondary and supporting characters have limited page time, but once played a significant role in our couple’s relationships. We are re-introduced to Ariana’s billionaire husband Victor Kane; her long-suffering mother Daphne, as well as Henry’s right hand man Blake, as well as a few cameos by cult leaders and membership, and the Russian Bratva.

THE CHOSEN is a story of betrayal and vengeance, madness and obsession, power and control, family and loss, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is gritty, dramatic and tragic; the romance is provocative; the characters are desperate, tenacious, and larger than life. THE CHOSEN ends on a cliff hanger-you have been told. Blake’s story line is next.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 11, 2024

Gideon:
For the past five years, all I’ve thought about is revenge.

Shot and left for dead by the people I trusted, only to be taken to an even worse hell, I vowed to make them pay.
To make them suffer as I once did.
To listen to their pleas for mercy as they draw their final breath.

But to do that, I need her.

Which comes with its own risks.

I may be able to fool everyone else, but if anyone might see past my changed appearance, it’s the woman I once planned to marry.
Imogene:

I moved to California for a fresh start. After the past five years, I was desperate to finally leave the past behind me. What better place to do that than Southern California?

Until I’m attacked and nearly killed in a dark alley.

I would have been if he hadn’t intervened.

Gideon Saint. Mysterious. Dangerous. Lethal.

And possessing eyes that look far too much like the man I lost all those years ago.

But that’s impossible. Samuel Tate is dead. Apart from those haunting blue eyes, he bears little resemblance to the man I once gave my heart.

At least that’s what I try to tell myself. Because if he is Samuel, where has he been the past five years?

And why did he make the world believe he was dead?
