REVIEW: TWISTED STEEL I by Jade Marshall is the eighth instalment in the multi-authored contemporary, adult, SONS OF SIN erotic, MC romance series. This is Sons of Sin: Las Vegas enforcer Marcus ‘Steel’ Holt, and paramedic Harper Quinn’s story line. TWISTED STEEL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Steel and Harper) TWISTED STEEL focuses on the members of the Sons of Sin MC: Las Vegas, and an impending war with the Broken Vultures MC. An industrial strip firefight finds paramedics Harper Quinn and her partner Milo at an active shooting, wherein she will save the life of a member of the Sons of Sin MC but Harper has seen too much, and too many faces, and is about to be targeted in an effort to draw out our story line hero. Sons of Sin: LV enforcer Marcus ‘Steel’ Holt doesn’t do relationships but is pulled into the aura that is our story line heroine. Determined to protect the woman with whom he will fall in love, Steel and the Sons of Sin MC, are pulled into a war of vengeance, as their own members battle to stay alive.

The world building focuses on the Sons of Sin MC camaraderie, their territory, and the stakes for survival. Always on the look out, searching for a predator taking aim.

The relationship between Harper and Steel begins as a rescue but who exactly is rescuing whom. Harper is a feisty, no nonsense paramedic who refuses to back down even in the face of danger and death but Steel’s need to protect threatens any chance of a happily ever after, and Steel is willing to walk away even if it means losing his heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, animated and tenacious secondary and supporting characters including the members of the Sons of Sin MC: Las Vegas: President Savage, Saint , Crimson, Raven, Mama M, and Harper’s partner Milo Carver, as well as Broken Vultures MC members Reaper and Dante.

TWISTED STEEL is a fast paced, action packed story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, obsession and madness, friendships and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic, edgy and engaging-the back and forth banter between characters is furious, fun and fast. The characters are desperate and determined; the romance is limited but seductive. I hope the author has plans to continue the series.
