ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 18, 2026
I wear his collar to catch my sister’s killer.
I never meant to become his.
For five years, I’ve hunted the man who murdered my sister at Elysium, a now-closed BDSM club.
Now I finally have a way into the world that protected him.
Dominion.
And the Dom called Obsidian may be my best chance to uncover its secrets.
Reclusive. Ruthlessly controlled. Notorious for seeing exactly what his submissives try hardest to hide.
He’s never collared anyone.
Until me.
I accept because his collar opens doors my investigation can’t reach.
I kneel because surrender is merely another weapon.
At least, that’s what I tell myself.
The closer I get to the truth about my sister, the harder it becomes to lie to the one man who sees through me.
And when I discover that Obsidian has secrets of his own, everything I’ve begun to trust is suddenly in question.
Seeking justice may cost me the one thing I never meant to surrender.
Him.

REVIEW:DOMINION’S COLLAR is the third instalment in Delta James’ contemporary, adult VELVET DOMINION erotic, BDSM, Dom/ sub romantic suspense series, set in the author’s CLUB OPUS NOIR and CLUB SOUTHSIDE worlds of Cerberus Security. This is Dom Sebastien ‘Obsidian’ Villere, and investigative reporter Natalie Chastain’s story line. DOMINION’S COLLAR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Sebastien and Natalie) DOMINION’S COLLAR focuses on the hunt for the truth. Five years earlier, Natalie’s sister Claire Bergeron died while playing at the former Elysium sex club, a club once frequented by several current members and Doms of Dominion Club. With the help of her sister’s journals, Natalie goes undercover into the Dominion Club on the hunt for a killer, only to find herself falling in love with Sebastien Villere but Natalie’s questions begin to upset some of the members including our story line hero who, with the help of Natalie, will uncover the truth.
The world building is intense, intriguing and detailed as Natalie reveals the timeline of events, struggles and evidence amassed by herself and her sister Claire. Everyone has secrets and Natalie is determined to uncover them all.
The relationship between Natalie and Sebastien begins as Dom/sub but Sebastien suspects there is more to Natalie than she has revealed. Knowing she is an investigative journalist does nothing to appease the mistrust but Sebastien offers Natalie a thirty day Dom/sub relationship in which he is determined to discover the real Natalie Chastain. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense including many Dom/sub scenarios.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, leery and dynamic secondary and supporting characters many of whom reveal clues and information not previously exposed. We are reintroduced to Dominion Club owner Margot Pascal, security specialist Remy, Dominion member and head of Operations for Rapier Strategic Luc Pascal, NOLA police Detective Andre ‘Andy’ Broussard, and club bartender Renata St. Clair; member Vivienne Thibault.
DOMINION’S COLLAR is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, murder and madness, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic, edgy and captivating; the characters are determined, strong willed and spirited; the romance is provocative and seductive.

If steamy alpha males, curvy heroines, and just the right amount of paranormal growl are your thing—meet your new favorite author: Delta James.
A USA Today bestselling queen of romantic suspense and paranormal heat, Delta writes fast-paced, heart-racing, panty-melting stories featuring strong women, dominant men, and more than a few fated mates. Whether it’s shifters howling in the wild or billionaires brooding in boardrooms, her books always bring the spice.
Delta didn’t grow up dreaming of writing romance. In fact, she launched her author career in 2018 after deciding her second act in life needed more passion… and possibly more bite. Since then? She’s published dozens of books across series like Wayward Mates, Otter Cove Shifters, Club Southside, Tangled Vines, and Mystic River Shifters—each one a decadent dive into danger, desire, and often, some well-placed discipline.
She lives in Florida with her pack of loyal basset hounds (aka editors with long ears and zero chill), and when she’s not writing steamy scenes or plotting revenge for her latest heroine, she’s probably riding horses, walking the beach, or white-water rafting—because why not?
