But honestly? I inhaled this in one sitting and immediately pre-ordered book 2 (which appears to be about Penelope’s terrifyingly competent best friend and a certain masked submissive from Velvet).

The Blackmail is pure, unapologetic catnip for readers who are tired of heroines who “discover” their sexuality only when the hero deigns to teach them. Penelope Grace was in charge the whole damn time, and it’s glorious.
