Vengeance wasn’t supposed to be there. He was from a rival club, but he had to warn Chloe. When he overheard his club’s Prez talking about Savage’s death, and taking back what belonged to the club, he knew exactly what he had to do. Convincing Chloe that he was on the up and up was going to be a challenge. She didn’t seem to trust anyone except for herself, but he was going to have to change that if he wanted to keep her safe. They were both paying for the sins of their fathers, but he wasn’t about to give Chloe to the Dragons. He’d die first.

REVIEW:VENGEANCE is the first instalment in KL Ramsey’s contemporary, adult ROYAL HELLIONS MC romance series, a spin off from the multi-authored RBMC series. This is Vengeance and Chloe Savage’s story line. Chloe is the daughter of Savage, Bowie and Dallas (Savage Heat /RBMC Huntsville 1)

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Chloe and Vengeance) VENGEANCE follows in the aftermath of the death of Chloe’s father Savage, president of the RBMC: Huntsville, a death by natural causes but his death has opened the door for the ghost of the past, a former member of the RBMC who is taking aim at our story line heroine. The return of the Dragons MC and the Black Veil Syndicate comes with an early warning from Vengeance, a member of the Dragons MC, but a man who has sworn to protect our story line heroine. On the run, trying to stay one step ahead of the people hunting Chloe, our couple find themselves surrounded at every turn, facing the possibility of never going home.

The world building is fast and furious as Vengeance’s arrival comes within days of Savage’s demise. Vengeance is determined to protect the woman he can never forget, a memory from years earlier that left our hero a shell of his former self but Vengeance’s true identity is about to threaten our heroine’s trust, a trust she isn’t willing to give at the cost of her life.

The relationship between Chloe and Vengeance begins acrimoniously. Bowie, Dallas and Chloe do not trust our story line hero, a man who is keeping secrets, that once revealed, threatened any chance of a happily ever after. As our couple struggle to stay one step ahead, Vengeance finds himself falling for a woman who could break his heart. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

The secondary and supporting characters are energetic, familiar and sometimes questionable. We are introduced to Doc Mercer, Dragon MC president Dante Manzo, his second in command Lucius, as well as the return of Bowie and Dallas.

VENGEANCE is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and grief, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic, gritty and revealing; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.
